PHP - Problem Unzipping Files
Hello all
I have a script that unzips .gz file but after they are unzipped I can not work with them. I unzip the file and then upload to database. BUT when I upload all I get is record IDs, no actual records. When I download the file and open it all the records are there. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Here is the script. Code: [Select] <?php $files = glob('./gz/*.gz'); foreach ($files as $in_file) { $file_name=(str_replace(".gz", " ", $in_file)); $fp = gzopen($in_file, "r"); $outFile = fopen($file_name,"wb"); while (!gzeof($fp)) { // read/write only up to 10kb per step $content = gzread($fp, "10240"); // write the data (if any) if ($content !== false){ fwrite($outFile,$content,"10240"); } } } fclose($outFile); ?> Thanks All Similar TutorialsHello all I have been trying to loop thru a dir. of .gz files and unzip them into the dir. that this script runs in, can not seem to get it can someone help? My script was working fine on the test server but since moving to the live server it isn't working. Here is a printout of the FILES variable: Code: [Select] Array ( [file] => Array ( [name] => filename.ppt [type] => [tmp_name] => [error] => 1 [size] => 0 ) ) Does anyone know what the problem might be? The error message that comes back is 'Invalid file'. Code: [Select] function upload_ppt_files() { echo 'print_r($_FILES) = '.print_r($_FILES).'<br />'; global $CFG; if (($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/vnd.ms-powerpoint") && ($_FILES["file"]["size"] > 100)) { if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0) { $CFG->message = "Error code:". $_FILES["file"]["error"]; manage_ppt_files(); } else { if (file_exists("../../uploads/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"])) { $CFG->message = $_FILES["file"]["name"] . " already exists."; manage_ppt_files(); } else { move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], "../../uploads/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"]); $CFG->message = "File uploaded successfully."; manage_ppt_files(); } } } else { $CFG->message = "Invalid File."; manage_ppt_files(); } } Hai, i have a project which is build from mac os and then i transfer all the file to windows and run it. Alot of error showing on windows but none on mac os. I already check the short tag but still alot of problem to run from windows. Anyone know whats the problem?
When I upload files > 2MB, I get an "Internal Server Error" and in the errors log see "Premature end of script headers:..." No problem with smaller files. I'm running PHP 5.28 and have the following in php5.ini. magic_quotes_gpc = Off log_errors = on display_errors = off memory_limit = 64M post_max_size = 8M upload_max_filesize = 8M max_input_time = 360 max_execution_time = 360 upload_tmp_dir = amd_temp The permissions for the upload folder are set to 755. Here's the code: <?php if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'GET') { ?> <form method="post" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] ?>" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="file" name="document"/> <input type="submit" value="Send File"/> </form> <?php } else { if (isset($_FILES['document']) && ($_FILES['document']['error'] == UPLOAD_ERR_OK)) { $newPath = 'updocs/' . basename($_FILES['document']['name']); if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['document']['tmp_name'], $newPath)) { print "File saved in $newPath"; } else { print "Couldn't move file to $newPath"; } } else { print "No valid file uploaded."; } } ?> Any thoughts on what might be the problem? Thanks. I have created a page for users to upload files, but for some reason end users can't access the files. we are getting an access denied page and every time files get uploaded i have to ftp to the site and change the permissions. is there something i am missing? Thank you in advance. Hey, guys, in the following code, why i cannot see my ~/test.txt file? It seem he is not doing what i want, to create a .txt file with 'is just a test'. I'm using Debian.

<?php Hello everybody, Hope somebody can help. As the subject says, I'm having encoding problems in my includes files, the "accents" and some special characters don't work. However, they do work in my main HTML. I really don't know what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks in advance. We are using a FileZilla server for our upload ftp server and we encountered a problem in uploading files. When we upload files 1KB - 1.5MB it will be a success but when we upload a file higher than that an error says: "Filename cannot be empty in C:\wamp\www\gankgame\myaccount.php on line 53" Furthermore, when we upload a file much greater than that like 30MB+ it will not upload but has no errors. Is there any way to configure the upload maximum size? or to fix this errors ? Help us please Our upload code is uploaded . please see the attachment Hello, I have a serious problem with includes So in the past I didn't have any organizing done when creating a website it was just the root and I throw in my files and a folder for the images. Now I am organizing my files something like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/41987677@N03/4926503042/. Now in index.php on the root folder I included the top.php, bottom.html and sessions.php as seen on global folder and inside of top.php and session.php are more includes to files like global.css the javascript files and images like logo and background of the top. now everything worked fine on index.php(root) and displayed everything. Now under the karoobridge folder (index.php) I included the top and bottom files on global now its throwing an error. My question is: is the organization I'm using useless with includes should I stick with just throwing everything on root directory? Can you give me some advice? Sorry if my explanation is confusing but I think you get the idea. I also tried $_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] and put that in the index of karoobridge folder to get the top.php, though i got the file the image in top.php didn't appear (I also used $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_rOOT'] for the images) what could be the problem? Hello I have a simple question about file handling... Is it possible to list all files in directories / subdirectories, and then read ALL files in those dirs, and put the content of their file into an array? Like this: array: [SomePath/test.php] = "All In this php file is being read by a new smart function!"; [SomePath/Weird/hello.txt = "Hello world. This is me and im just trying to get some help!";and so on, until no further files exists in that rootdir. All my attempts went totally crazy and none of them works... therefore i need to ask you for help. Do you have any ideas how to do this? If so, how can I be able to do it? Thanks in Advance, pros So far I have managed to create an upload process which uploads a picture, updates the database on file location and then tries to upload the db a 2nd time to update the Thumbnails file location (i tried updating the thumbnails location in one go and for some reason this causes failure) But the main problem is that it doesn't upload some files Here is my upload.php <?php include 'dbconnect.php'; $statusMsg = ''; $Title = $conn -> real_escape_string($_POST['Title']) ; $BodyText = $conn -> real_escape_string($_POST['ThreadBody']) ; // File upload path $targetDir = "upload/"; $fileName = basename($_FILES["file"]["name"]); $targetFilePath = $targetDir . $fileName; $fileType = pathinfo($targetFilePath,PATHINFO_EXTENSION); $Thumbnail = "upload/Thumbnails/'$fileName'"; if(isset($_POST["submit"]) && !empty($_FILES["file"]["name"])){ // Allow certain file formats $allowTypes = array('jpg','png','jpeg','gif','pdf', "webm", "mp4"); if(in_array($fileType, $allowTypes)){ // Upload file to server if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath)){ // Insert image file name into database $insert = $conn->query("INSERT into Threads (Title, ThreadBody, filename) VALUES ('$Title', '$BodyText', '$fileName')"); if($insert){ $statusMsg = "The file ".$fileName. " has been uploaded successfully."; $targetFilePathArg = escapeshellarg($targetFilePath); $output=null; $retval=null; //exec("convert $targetFilePathArg -resize 300x200 ./upload/Thumbnails/'$fileName'", $output, $retval); exec("convert $targetFilePathArg -resize 200x200 $Thumbnail", $output, $retval); echo "REturned with status $retval and output:\n" ; if ($retval == null) { echo "Retval is null\n" ; echo "Thumbnail equals $Thumbnail\n" ; } }else{ $statusMsg = "File upload failed, please try again."; } }else{ $statusMsg = "Sorry, there was an error uploading your file."; } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Sorry, only JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, mp4, webm & PDF files are allowed to upload.'; } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Please select a file to upload.'; } //Update SQL db by setting the thumbnail column to equal $Thumbnail $update = $conn->query("update Threads set thumbnail = '$Thumbnail' where filename = '$fileName'"); if($update){ $statusMsg = "Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly."; echo $statusMsg ; } else { echo "\n Failed to update Thumbnail. Thumbnail equals $Thumbnail" ; } // Display status message echo $statusMsg; ?> And this does work on most files however it is not working on a 9.9mb png fileĀ which is named "test.png" I tested on another 3.3 mb gif file and that failed too? For some reason it returns the following Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly.Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly. Whereas on the files it works on it returns REturned with status 0 and output: Retval is null Thumbnail equals upload/Thumbnails/'rainbow-trh-stache.gif' Failed to update Thumbnail. Thumbnail equals upload/Thumbnails/'rainbow-trh-stache.gif'The file rainbow-trh-stache.gif has been uploaded successfully. Any idea on why this is? I am using WPSQT plugin in my blog site .I code some files in PHP also.how to add that files in plugin files.
Ok i have been working on this for a day+ now. here is my delema simple .ini text file. when a user makes a change (via html form) it makes the correct adjustments. problem is the newline issue 1. if i put a "\n" at the end (when using fputs) works great, except everytime they edit the file it keeps adding a new line (i.e. 10 edits there are now 10 blank lines!!!!) 2. if i leave off the "\n" it appends the next "fgets" to that lilne making a mess Code: [Select] ##-- Loop thruoght the ORIGINAL file while( ! feof($old)) { ##-- Get a line of text $aline = fgets($old); ##-- We only need to check for "=" if(strpos($aline,"=") > 0 ) { ##-- Write NEW data to tmp file fputs($tmp,$info[$i]." = ".$rslt[$i]."\n"); $i++; } ##-- No Match else { fputs($tmp,$aline."\n"); }//Checking for match }//while eof(old) what in the world is making this such a big deal. i dont remember having this issue in the past I tried opening with w+, and just w on the temp file a typical text line would be some fieldname = some value the scipt cycles through the file ignoring comments that are "#" ps the tmp file will overwrite the origianl once complete all i really want to know is WHY i cant get the newline to work, and what is the suggested fix EDIT: i just tried PHP_EOL and it still appends another newline first of all...its good to see the site back .
my question guys is i'm wondering is there a way of getting the column number when reading a .cvs file?
ie. a, b, c, d, aa, ab etc?
$row = 1; if (($handle = fopen($file, "r")) !== FALSE) { while (($data = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, ",")) !== FALSE) { $num = count($data); echo "<p> $num fields in line $row: <br /></p>\n"; $row++; for ($c=0; $c < $num; $c++) { //echo $data[$c] . "<br />\n"; } } fclose($handle); }now $num counts the columns...but i want to convert that into a alphabetical column...is there a easy solution? thanks guys I have told that the php files I was working on contains BOM by default cause of the editor I m using. I have installed other editor that can create php files without BOM. So my question is what's the difference between 2 files, one with BOM and other without BOM ? Any problems I may face for long term usage ? Which one is better to use ? Hey, Trying to learn to generate PDF files, something apparently WAAAAYYY more complex than I thought. Can someone please give me an explanation on '$optlist' from this function..... PDF_load_image ( resource $pdfdoc , string $imagetype , string $filename , string $optlist ) What is it? PHP.net doesn't have any info at all. Thanks, IceKat. BTW - Any (recent) tutorials or pages would be appreciated. Everything I find is out of date or doesn't work. lets say I own a file, and you own a file, both these files are the exact same file, the only difference is the filename. So lets say we both have The Gimp 2.6 but one is named TG2.6.exe and the other is named the_Gimp-2.6.exe. What would be the best way to count the files that are the same even if they have a different file name? Another example would be: I have a file called me.jpg and someone else has a file me.jpg but they are two completely different pictures. What would I do to tell that? Good day: I have a simple uploader form to upload video files. FLV and mpg files will upload without problems. But mp4, m4v, ogg and webm files will not upload. I get this error: Warning: copy() [function.copy]: Unable to access in /mounted-storage/home7/sub007/sc30390-PTUD/**********.com/admin123/insertvideo.php on line 32 Error Video not loaded. I have read about adding the files in config/mimes.php but I do not see that folder or files in my hosting service (which is servage). Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Can you include a file and append info to be grabbed by using GET? For example, can you have an include file like this... Code: [Select] include('file.php?id=1'); And then in the file "file.php" I would use $_GET['id'] to do other things in the code. I tried it and it's not working. I'm getting this error... "Warning: include(file.php?id=1) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in..." Just want to find out if this should be doable before I continue testing why it's not working for me. If it should work, should I be using something other than include maybe? (like require or require_once?) |
