PHP - Problem Unzipping Files

Hey, guys, in the following code, why i cannot see my ~/test.txt file? It seem he is not doing what i want, to create a .txt file with 'is just a test'. I'm using Debian.

As the subject says, I'm having encoding problems in my includes files, the "accents" and some special characters don't work.

However, they do work in my main HTML.

I really don't know what the problem is and how to fix it.

We are using a FileZilla server for our upload ftp server and we encountered a problem in uploading files. When we upload files 1KB - 1.5MB it will be a success but when we upload a file higher than that an error says:

"Filename cannot be empty in C:\wamp\www\gankgame\myaccount.php on line 53"

Furthermore, when we upload a file much greater than that like 30MB+ it will not upload but has no errors.
Is there any way to configure the upload maximum size? or to fix this errors ? Help us please

Hello, I have a serious problem with includes

So in the past I didn't have any organizing done when creating a website it was just the root and I throw in my files and a folder for the images. Now I am organizing my files something like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/41987677@N03/4926503042/.
Now in index.php on the root folder I included the top.php, bottom.html and sessions.php as seen on global folder and inside of top.php and session.php are more includes to files like global.css the javascript files and images like logo and background of the top. now everything worked fine on index.php(root) and displayed everything.

Now under the karoobridge folder (index.php) I included the top and bottom files on global now its throwing an error. My question is: is the organization I'm using useless with includes should I stick with just throwing everything on root directory? Can you give me some advice?

I also tried $_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] and put that in the index of karoobridge folder to get the top.php, though i got the file the image in top.php didn't appear (I also used $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_rOOT'] for the images) what could be the problem?

I have a simple question about file handling...


Is it possible to list all files in directories / subdirectories, and then read ALL files in those dirs,
and put the content of their file into an array?

Like this:

array:
[SomePath/test.php] = "All In this php file is being read by a new smart function!";
[SomePath/Weird/hello.txt = "Hello world. This is me and im just trying to get some help!";

and so on, until no further files exists in that rootdir.

All my attempts went totally crazy and none of them works... therefore i need to ask you for help.


Do you have any ideas how to do this?
If so, how can I be able to do it?

So far I have managed to create an upload process which uploads a picture, updates the database on file location and then tries to upload the db a 2nd time to update the Thumbnails file location (i tried updating the thumbnails location in one go and for some reason this causes failure)

But the main problem is that it doesn't upload some files

And this does work on most files however it is not working on a 9.9mb png file  which is named "test.png" I tested on another 3.3 mb gif file and that failed too?

For some reason it returns the following

Whereas on the files it works on it returns

Ok i have been working on this for a day+ now. here is my delema

simple .ini text file. when a user makes a change (via html form) it makes the correct adjustments.
problem is the newline issue

1. if i put a "\n" at the end (when using fputs) works great, except everytime they edit the file it keeps adding a new line (i.e. 10 edits there are now 10 blank lines!!!!)
2. if i leave off the "\n" it appends the next "fgets" to that lilne making a mess

what in the world is making this such a big deal. i dont remember having this issue in the past
I tried opening with w+, and just w on the temp file

a typical text line would be

some fieldname = some value

the scipt cycles through the file ignoring comments that are "#"

the tmp file will overwrite the origianl once complete

all i really want to know is WHY i cant get the newline to work, and what is the suggested fix

i just tried PHP_EOL and it still appends another newline

first of all...its good to see the site back .   my question guys is i'm wondering is there a way of getting the column number when reading a .cvs file? ie. a, b, c, d, aa, ab etc?

I have told that the php files I was working on contains BOM by default cause of the editor I m using. I have installed other editor that can create php files without BOM.

So my question is  what's the difference between 2 files, one with BOM and other without BOM ? Any problems I may face for long term usage ? Which one is better to use ?

lets say I own a file, and you own a file,  both these files are the exact same file, the only difference is the filename. So lets say we both have The Gimp 2.6 but one is named TG2.6.exe and the other is named the_Gimp-2.6.exe. What would be the best way to count the files that are the same even if they have a different file name? Another example would be:

I have a file called me.jpg and someone else has a file me.jpg but they are two completely different pictures. What would I do to tell that?

I have a simple uploader form to upload video files. FLV and mpg files will upload without problems. But mp4, m4v, ogg and webm files will not upload. I get this error:

Error Video not loaded.

I have read about adding the files in config/mimes.php but I do not see that folder or files in my hosting service (which is servage).

Can you include a file and append info to be grabbed by using GET?   For example, can you have an include file like this...

And then in the file "file.php" I would use $_GET['id'] to do other things in the code.

I tried it and it's not working. I'm getting this error... "Warning: include(file.php?id=1) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in..."

Just want to find out if this should be doable before I continue testing why it's not working for me.

If it should work, should I be using something other than include maybe?  (like require or require_once?)
