PHP - Multiple Data To A Same Page
Hi there. I have a page(portfolio.php) that shows all the pictures from my db. Now what i want is: when i click on the picture to send me to a page(portfolio_single.php) where other datas are shown but those datas that are related to that picture.
ex: when i click first picture it will open (portfolio_single.php) showing the infos of that picture, then when i click to the secon picture it will open same page with different datas (retreiving them from db). I seem to be having difficulty inserting data into my database from checkbox items. My database has a column for each each fruit. I would like for each column to be populated with either a one(1) for checked or a zero(0) for not checked. Currently, my attempts have failed. I can either get all checkboxes to insert all zeros or I can get the first column to insert a one(1) while the others as zeros. Is there anybody here that can help me figure out what I am doing wrong and help me to re-work my code so I can get this to work? If anybody can help me using OOP methods that would be fantastic. Basically what I have is a link table linking together source_id and subject_id. For each subject there are multiple sources associated with each. I had created a basic listing of sources by subject... no problem. I now need a way of having a form to create an ordered list in a user-specified way. In other words, I can currently order by id or alphabetically (subject name lives on a different table), but I need the option of choosing the order in which they display. I added another row to this table called order_by. No problem again, and I can manage all of this in the database, however I want to create a basic form where I can view sources by subject and then enter a number that I can use for sorting. I have a product database w/ tables each for product series, model, sub-model and optionals. One item in each of these makes up one product. So Series K, Model 7, sub-model 2, optional 3 will be a product called K 7/2-3 .The permutations and combinations of these are all possible products.
In the same db, I have a quotations table. Each quotation has a unique id / record. A quotation can include any number of products : it can have K 7/2-3, KA 561/1-2 , FPN 311/2-1 or it can only have KA 561/1-2 etc.
Now I am stuck. Don't know how to
a. structure the quotations table
b. create a MySQL select so that one statement can make multiple selections . I thought of using a checkbox but that doesn't work either since the series/model/sub model/optionals must chosen sequentially.
Any ideas I can follow thru ?

However, I have a question for any of you gurus out there that may be able to help me with an issue that I always run into with certain types of queries. I know how to do multiple queries in one and to do joins but they can only return one row as far as I know of. The only other way that I know how to do this is by ordering them by name and selecting them directly from the photos table and then just getting the gallery name like this: SELECT *,(SELECT name FROM galleries WHERE id=gallery_photos.id) AS gallery_name FROM gallery_photos ORDER BY gallery_id Then I could just do one loop and see if the name has changed and if so to output the new name. But I would like to know if there is a way to get a second set of results as an array from a query so I could just select the galleries and photos all in one query. Any help is appreciated. Hello,

Here i am not getting how to store it in that table. Actually all the 24 inputs are not mandatory. If user fills only 2 then also it should store it in the database table.

Hi everybody. So I tried to do some research on this and the answers I found were pretty complicated and hard for me (as a newbie) to understand. What I am trying to do is send the results of an HTML form (radio buttons) to more than one php script (currently name_BB1.php but I would also like to send it to name_2.php). Is there a simple way to do this? Is it even possible?
All I need to pass from the script is the name of the department chosen (Music Books or Video) and the first script uses that information to access related databases. However the second script also needs to know the name of the department originally chosen and I don't know how to get that variable over there without asking the user a second time.
