PHP - Remove Selected Items
Hi guys!
I'm trying to make a <select> button for car positions which displays a set of numbers like 1-5 or 1-10 so on.. I need to remove the numbers that is already been selected. Selected numbers are stored in the database and i fetch them in a simple query then compared it to the max number of cars. I have this code, it kinda works but it shows the number 1 which is already been selected. Selected numbers are 1 and 3, it successfully removes number 3 but not 1, The output is 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 I added some comments for clarity.. Code: [Select] function position_available($event_id, $number_of_cars) // receives id for ref. in the database { $selected_positions = check_selected_positions($event_id); // query to get selected positions while($positions = mysql_fetch_array($selected_positions)) { $position = array(); array_push($position, $positions['car_position']); // 'car position' is the name of the field } for($i = 1; $i <= $number_of_cars; $i++) // $number_of_cars is the total number of cars { if(! in_array($i, $position)) echo "<option value='{$i}'>" . $i . "</option>"; } } Did i miss something simple? thanks for the help in advance! Similar TutorialsI have say about 7 different interests and beside each interest I want a check box. How would I go about having multiple check boxes checked so I can remove however many interests at one time... For example: [Checked] Hockey Soccer Baseball [Checked] Basketball And the remove all selected button would remove the checked interests. Thanks, Sean I have a webpage where all the database items are displyes in a table format.The table also has a check box.Upon clicking the delete button i need to delete all the items whish has the checkbox checked. How will i do that Is it possible to add up a bunch of selected rows? For example, something like this: $sql = "SELECT (and add up) weight FROM store WHERE id LIKE $id" (there are multiple $id's) Obviously that isn't the answer - but hopefully it gives an idea of what I'm after. 0 downloads Hi guys, When I remove 1 session item using this it works fine when I select more than 1 item to be removed I get unexpected results, I have checked the outputted html to see what positions get echoed into the remove check box and they are correct, so I guess the problem lies in my remove code here is the part of the form that sends the remove check box <?php for ($basket_counter=0;$basket_counter<$_SESSION['ses_basket_items'];$basket_counter++) { $price=sprintf("%01.2f",$ses_basket_price[$basket_counter]); $quantity=$ses_basket_amount[$basket_counter]; $code=$ses_basket_stockcode[$basket_counter]; $itemID=$ses_basket_id[$basket_counter]; $name=$ses_basket_name[$basket_counter]; $image=$ses_basket_image[$basket_counter]; $size=$ses_basket_size[$basket_counter]; $sizechoice=$ses_basket_sizechoice[$basket_counter]; // create array from sizes and make the option box selections if ($sizechoice!="" && (!in_array($sizechoice, array('One Size', 'one size', 'free size', 'Free Size', 'Adjustable', 'adjustable')))) { // add size trigger $sizelist="add"; //create the array $sizepick=explode(",", $sizechoice); } else { $sizepick=$sizechoice; } // adjust gst for AU customers if ($country=='AU') { $price=sprintf("%01.2f",($price*1.1)); $unit=sprintf("%01.2f",($price/$quantity)); } else { $unit=sprintf("%01.2f",($price/$quantity)); } ?> <tr> <td align='center' class='rescon' style="border-bottom:solid #330000 1px;"><input type="checkbox" name="remove[<?php echo $basket_counter; ?>]" value="<?php echo $basket_counter; ?>" /></td> and here is the part of the code that processes the removal of the items $remove = $_POST['remove']; if (isset($remove) && ($remove!='')) { foreach($remove AS $key => $remove_position){ array_splice ($ses_basket_name, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_amount, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_price, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_stockcode, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_image, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_size, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_sizechoice, $remove_position, 1); array_splice ($ses_basket_id, $remove_position, 1); $_SESSION['ses_basket_items']--; } } I am using a form with checkboxes named remove[$remove_position] and the positions in the form are correct for each item in the array, but when I select more than 1 item to delete they are not always the correct items only the first 1 selected. What am I doing wrong here?? I have users in my database with many stored points ie age, gender, interests etc. about 20 points in all.
I have a table of products that I want to recommend only applicable products. They each have saved like minage, maxage, gender, interest etc for the ideal consumer. ie dress gender=f
This is the bare bones of what I have so far:
$result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM user_table WHERE hash='$session_id'"); $rowuser = mysql_fetch_array($result); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM products"); $rowproducts = mysql_fetch_array($result);So now I have $rowuser['gender'] = m , how do I remove all from $rowproducts where gender = f? Is there a best way to do this knowing I have about 20 points to go through before I am left with an array with just the best selection of products for this user in it? I have this loop on a shorturl website i own that selects domains from my website and lists them in a dropdown list where users can select one domain to use as url shortener. The problem is that when a users selects and entry from the dropdown list this created only the [[[main_url]]] entry from the database table bellow can be used. When someone selectes "coolartistname.site.com the submit button cannot be pressed. in other words it's not adding the SELECTED attribute other than the [[[main_url]]] domain. Can anyone see on the code bellow why this would happen?
**Index.php** // get base urls $shortUrlDomains = getShortUrlDomains(); <?php foreach ($shortUrlDomains AS $k => $shortUrlDomain) { // active domains only if (($shortUrlDomain['premium_only'] !== '1') && ($shortUrlDomain['premium_only'] !== $Auth->id)) { continue; } echo '<option value="' . (int)$k . '"'; if (isset($_REQUEST['shortUrlDomain'])) { if ($k == (int)$_REQUEST['shortUrlDomain']) { echo 'SELECTED'; } } echo '>'; echo $shortUrlDomain['domain']; if ($disabled == true) { echo ' (' . safeOutputToScreen(t('unavailable', 'unavailable')) . ')'; } '</option>'; } echo '</optgroup>'; ?> FUNCTIONS.PHP function getShortUrlDomains() { // if we already have it cached if(defined('_SETTINGS_SHORT_URL_DOMAINS')) { return unserialize(_SETTINGS_SHORT_URL_DOMAINS); } // get connection $db = Database::getDatabase(true); // load from database $domains = $db->getRows("SELECT id, domain, premium_only, status FROM url_domain ORDER BY premium_only ASC, id ASC"); // organise and replace site url $rs = array(); foreach($domains AS $domain) { if($domain['domain'] == '[[[main_url]]]') { $domain['domain'] = _CONFIG_SITE_FULL_URL; } $rs[$domain{'id'}] = $domain; } **MYSQL DATABASE** url_domain (id, domain, premium_only, status, date_created, owner) VALUES (1, '[[[main_url]]]', 0, 'enabled', '2019-03-02 08:13:00', 1) (14, 'coolartistname.site.com', 6, 'enabled', '2020-04-18 19:21:59', 6);
First problem fixed. My second problem is if the result is 0X.XX,0 or 0X.XX,1 I would like to remove the first 0 The X.XX are numbers, but the 0 is not always there. Can anyone help please Thanks Hi all, I have a html drop down menu and want to show the initially selected value as the one stored in the mysql database that a member selected. I have 180+ rows in mysql that a member could have selected and would like to basically do this: IF (value of option == $row['value'] ) { echo "selected=\"selected\"; } I could put this in every one of the rows it would be much better to have an if statement. As there are so many values I do not know where to begin. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks How can I select the last 5 db items? I was thinking a timestamp or some thing. What is the best way to capture items that someone wants to purchase when they don't have an account yet? And I prefer not using cookies.
Guys, i want to display ads after 4 items to be displayed. Iam fetching item using mysql database & iam showing 8 items per page. I used below code but its not working because i used the item id to specify the first number but the items is not listed as correct order Code: [Select] <?php // first number $first = $row['id']; // second number $second = 4; //checking if the first number is muliple of second. If true then display ads. If($first % $second == "0") { echo 'ads to display'; } It will work if i list items in correct order. Please let me know correct solution. Thanks in advance ! Hi Guys, I have a script that shows the user of my shop what they have looked at. I was wondering if someone can tell me how I can limit this so it only lists 10 and no more. Here is the code: Code: [Select] if(RECENTVIEWED ==1) { if(isset($_COOKIE['jimbeam'])){ $productUrl = SITE_URL."ecom/index.php?action=ecom.pdetails&mode="; $productUrl = $this->libFunc->m_safeUrl($productUrl); foreach ($_COOKIE['jimbeam'] as $name => $value) { $this->obDb->query="SELECT vTitle FROM ".PRODUCTS." WHERE vSeoTitle = '".$value."'"; $rsProd = $this->obDb->fetchQuery(); $this->obTpl->set_var("TPL_VAR_PRODUCTTITLE",stripslashes($rsProd[0]->vTitle)); $this->obTpl->set_var("TPL_VAR_PRODUCTURL",$productUrl.$value); $this->obTpl->parse("recent_blk","TPL_RECENT_BLK",true); } $this->obTpl->parse("mainrecent_blk","TPL_MAINRECENT_BLK"); } } Thanks, Jordan Hi, i have had some help from these forums building a shopping cart system and i can add items to cart, empty cart but i need some help on how to update quantities. Here is the code i use to add items Code: [Select] $pid = $_POST['prodid']; $q = $_POST['qty']; if(array_key_exists($pid, $_SESSION['cart'])) { $_SESSION['cart'][$pid]=$_SESSION['cart'][$pid]+$q; } ELSE { $_SESSION['cart'][$pid]=$q; } Im displaying my items in a table with a text field for quantities which can be changed then click update. i see there is 2 things i need to do, first is to somehow create a loop for all the items in my table, i have no clue where to start on that, and then in that loop i have my update command. im assuming the code to update would be something like Code: [Select] $_SESSION['cart'][$pid]=$_SESSION['cart'][$pid][$qty] where $qty is the value of the text box in my table. Any help would be appreciated. This is probably some obvious error I have made, but I cannot figure it out. I have made a few pages and now I am debugging them. My first page is called insert_purchase_order.php; on this page a person will enter some data in fields and hit the insert button. Then, the data is passed to another page, but when I try to insert into mysql it does not give me any errors, but I have no new rows either. The code for my 2nd page: Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); $action=$_GET[action]; if ($action==insert){ $randid=$_POST['randid']; $vendor=$_POST["vendor"]; $purchase_order_date=$_POST["purchase_order_date"]; $ship=$_POST["ship"]; $fob=$_POST["fob"]; $terms=$_POST["terms"]; $buyer=$_POST["buyer"]; $freight=$_POST["freight"]; $req_date=$_POST["req_date"]; $confirming_to=$_POST["confirming_to"]; $remarks=$_POST["remarks"]; $tax=$_POST["tax"]; $con = mysql_connect("localhost","root","pass"); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("main", $con); mysql_query("INSERT INTO purchase_order (randid, vendor, purchase_order, ship, fob, terms, buyer, freight, req_date, confirming_to, remarks, tax) VALUES ($randid, $vendor,$purchase_order_date,$ship, $fob, $terms, $buyer, $freight, $req_date, $confirming_to, $remarks, $tax)"); mysql_close($con); echo 'Data Accepted...'; echo '<br/>'; echo 'P.O. Inserted Successfully'; }else{ echo 'Error... Please Contact Bruce.'; echo 'Bruce, no data was passed from the insert_purchase_order.php page.'; } ?> <a href="http://localhost/insert_purchase_order_items.php?po= <?php echo $randid; ?>">Insert Purchase Order Items</a> I have permissions and everything. Thanks am currently building the cart system of a product, now there is this part wherein, the non-logged-in OR logged-in user should also be able to see the items that he/she viewed, how to do that?., am not asking for code snippets , just give me some ideas/hints/strategies/tips that may help me get the big picture on how to do this thing and proceed coding. Hi, I have this menu code which displays a drop down menu: <ul> <li><a href="<?php echo URL_PUBLIC; ?>">Home</a></li> <?php function submenu($list, $ul){ if($ul){ echo " <ul>";} foreach($list->children() as $newList){ echo ' <li>'.$newList->link($newList->title, (in_array($newList->slug, explode('/', $newList->url)) ? ' class="current"': null)); if ($newList->childrenCount() > 0) { submenu($newList, true); }else{echo "</li>";} } if($ul){echo " </ul></li>";} } submenu($this->find('/'), false); ?> <br style="clear: left" /> </ul> I am trying to exclude certain menu items based on their slug. I have this code, but can't work it into the above: $omit_pages = array('page1', 'page2'); if (in_array($menu->slug, $omit_pages)) { continue; } Does anyone have any ideas how I can work it in? Thanks Hello, In my Mysql database, it has a datetime field. and I have created a $today = date('Y-m-d H:i:s'); <- today's date and time How do I write a query to run in PHP in order to get all today's items by comparing datetime field and $today? Thanks! I have an array of products. The array has an ID and price. I'd like to know the most efficient way of adding up all the same ID fields in the array. Code: [Select] <?php $items[] = array( 'id' => 1, 'price' => 5.99, ); $items[] = array( 'id' => 2, 'price' => 1.99, ); $items[] = array( 'id' => 3, 'price' => 2.40, ); $items[] = array( 'id' => 2, 'price' => 6.99, ); $items[] = array( 'id' => 4, 'price' => 8, ); $items[] = array( 'id' => 2, 'price' => 3, ); $items[] = array( 'id' => 3, 'price' => 1, ); function add_like_items($items) { //manipulation return $sums; } //$sums would be an array like //$sum[1] = 5.99 //$sum[2] = 11.98 //$sum[3] = 3.40 //$sum[4] = 8 ?> Anybody have suggestions on the best way to go about doing this? |
