PHP - Do Not Show Emailed Results If Checkbox Is Empty .. ??

Hi again

probably a very simple code but not working.  I am trying to show a default image "fabric.jpg" if the recordset is empty.  If not empty it shows the recordset image at a size of 100X100.  This is the code I am using and have probably left something out, any ideas?

I have a DB of design work all the work is categorise as  Brand Identity, print or online
Some are a mix so project 1 is categorised as brand identity and online
Project 2 is print and online
Im trying to filter my results by using checkbox so when brand identity and online are checked and the filter button is clicked there val is sent to the display page, i am passing the val ok as i get this in the url bar (index1.php?cid=bi&cid2=online) but is not displaying only entry's with cat brand identity and online. its not displaying any thing but error msg

In my DB I have 3 columns cid, cid1, cid2.
cid= bi
cid1= print
cid2= online
I have 2 problems if anyone can help please.

1, I get no results on the display page(index1.php) when no filter is slected ie show all
i think this part needs a IF empty run this query  if not empty ie filters have been passed to the page run this query

having problems getting checkboxes to display all reuslts when a user selects more than one check box say in the category section and one in the location section - see page http://www.partyco.co.uk/event-and-party-venues/ - submit to see reults page:

I managed to get it to display reults if the user only seletc either a right or left column option OR one of each - BUT not when thet select multiple categories and one location - and ideas how to do this ? putting it into an array perhaps - but how - new to some of this....

I just cannot seem to get this to work, have been testing and searching all morning and not getting anywhere.

I have a form with a series of checkboxes which populates the MySqL database, this works fine.

Trying to print the results from the form if the row is empty show an unchecked checkbox, if there is a value show a checked checkbox.

I have tested my if statement and can echo correctly wether empty or not empty, just cannot get the checkbox to be unticked if there is no value in the row

The empty and full test echos do seem to work, showing me the if statement works.

The problem is even when the row is empty the checkbox shows checked....

The problem

The problem that makes me almost gonna cry,it takes long time to load then it will showing names (remember my_table of 100,000 entries) all at once  and sometimes it sudden shows huage amount once or even sometime it hang up.

My question

Is there any way that i can call it so that it showing me results one name by one name like streaming name1 (done),name2 (done),name3 (done),name4 (done),name5 (done),......etc not showing all at once

i'm afraid it may needs some ajax idea or somehow i really don't know but this is important to me so your help is very useful to me.

so anyone please helps me cause it would really save my hosting ram otherwise they would suspend me 

i have an html form which is a "post"

on it i have an array of checkboxes and a sumbit button, once button is clicked i go to another page where i handle those boxes checked
the problem now is if NO checkboxes are checked and i hit the submit...i get errors on the other page

Hello all,

I am making a database with all the Boeing deliveries sorted by month. I made a index with all the months and when you click on a month you will get a full list of the type and quantity of aircraft that has been deliverd.

I have two problems and I can't figure it out.
The first problem I have, is that I want to show the visitors which airline has bougt which type of aircraft and how many.
The second problem I have is a want to show them the total amount of deliveries, not just per type of aircraft, but a total number.

Here are some shots of my problem and what I have:

This is how my MYSQL-database lookes like. The columns I have a id, day, month, year, airline, aircraft, amount (just a simple translation of the Dutch words ).
As you can see, there are some airlines that received one type of aircraft two times (TUI Travel PLC has received 2x Boeing 737-800). Keep this in mind, I will get back to this.


This is the table on my website. The first column shows the type of aircraft. The secon column shows us how many of that type has been deliverd. In the last column I want to have all the airlines that has received that type of aircraft. As I mentioned above, TUI Travel PLC has received 2x B737-800, so in the row of B737-800 I want to have TUI Travel PLC (2x). If the airline received more then 1 aircraft, I would like to have (.....x) (and the amount on the dots --> TUI example: 2 aircraft, so 2x). So you will get TUI Travel PLC (2x).

Hello,   I want to show checkbox is checked when there is entry of that id in a table in my database.    I have 2 tables page and access_level. I am getting data from page table and displays it in <ul><li> tag with checkbox to select all or only few. After selecting the checkbox, i will store only selected checkbox value in access_level table along with table id. Page link and page name details will be stored in page table.    Now if i want to edit , i should display all the pages which is there in page table and i should also mark checked to those which are already stored in access_level table.   I am using LEFT OUT JOIN, It displays all the pages. But it is not displaying the check mark to those which are already selected.   Here is my code

i am building a voting system for my gaming website

people sign up for matches, and those will be played at 3-5 different maps
people can vote for wich maps they want to play

each player can choose 3 maps, also 3 x the same map

now the results of that voting system are shown on the page like this

There is 1 vote for Map 1
There are 5 votes for Map 2
There is 1 vote for Map 3
There are 2 votes for Map 7
There is 1 vote for Map 4
There is 1 vote for Map 5
There are 8 votes for Map 8

now i want to make a script that picks the maps that will be played, so only show the 3-5 best results

in the example above it woud be 2 x map 8 and 1x map 2
but im not sure how to start on this

the db table of the votes is built like this

Hi All,   I need to get a small function working for a site I need to build for a group of friends.   I was able to get a login page, and a way to add data to the data base.   Now I am stuck on the search and show results fuctionalities.   I have found tens of scripts on the internet, but most of them are outdated, or I cant get them to work, either it sends me back a blank page, does nothing or sends me to an error page   The GOAL User Inputs text in a text box, clicks submit, the data in the text box is looked for in the second collumn of the DB, The information of the collumns 2 to 7 of the DB for the name search are displayed either on the same page or on a new page.   Is there any chance you could hel me with that, taken into account that I dont need the html part of the code, I only need help with the php part...   Thanks in advance to all the people reading this and the ones helping me...
