PHP - Php-file Displaying In Iframe In Static Page
Ok, my php skills are such that I can customize an existing script to some extend, but I can't write one.
My problem is the following: I'm using a php-based forum script in a friends website. I load the 'forum.php' script in an iframe of a static page. When a user gets a response to a post that he wrote on the forum, he receives a mail with a link which - if clicked - gets him to the response he got ie. http://someurl.com/forum.php?todo=viewtopic&tid=6#t2 The problem is now that if he clicks the link, the file of course doesn't open in the iframe of the static page (http://someurl.com/forum.html) where normally this forum.php file opens. I guess I will have to make the static page also into a php-file and then use parts of the clicked url (forum.php?todo=viewtopic&tid=6#t2) and insert it into the iframe as the file to load ... would appreciate a lot if anyone can advice me how to do that! Thanks in advance, K. Similar TutorialsI have 2 php files. I am unable to get B's global variable from A's static method: A.php Code: [Select] class c_A { public static function f_A() { include_once( "B.php" ) ; print f_B() ; } } c_A::f_A( ); // only prints "B : " B.php Code: [Select] $gvs = "global variable from B" ; function f_B() { return "B : " . $GLOBALS[ "gvs" ] ; } any thoughts? thanks, Shannon I thought I was a beginner PHPer but now I'm not even sure I'm that. I have this class here which starts with: Code: [Select] private static $FormatType = ""; but then further down: Code: [Select] public function SetFormatType($NewFormatTypeId) { $this->FormatType = $NewFormatTypeId; } public function GetFormatType() { return $this->FormatType; } Do you suppose that the original developer just had a singleton or something, then latter on he found that he was making more instances and PHP tolerates this behavior? Or am I missing something? Anyone know how I can print a file (specifically a PDF) that is stored on the server to the clients computer with a button? I don't want them to be able to view it, just print it. I've done some research and understand that there is no way to print directly without popping up the Windows Print dialog. And that is fine. I just want them to print this file, but not no where it is or be able to type in a URL to access it. Thanks Mike Hello! Looking for some advice regarding displaying content from my databases on my members websites via an iframe. Here's what I want to do; Members on my site are rated and reviewed, what I wanted to do was create a piece of code that they could embed on their website to show their reviews. My first instincts where to create an iframe and use the source to pass get variables to my server to identify the member and then use these in a query to select member reviews. Here is the code; For their site; Code: [Select] <iframe frameborder="0" height="250px" width="700px" scrolling="auto" src="http://www.mysite.co.uk/reviews.php?ID=9999&aKey=123456"></iframe> Passes the member ID and a unique access key for that member. The page on my site; (reviews.php) include_once $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . // path to script files $ID=mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['ID']); $aKey=mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['aKey']); if(empty($aKey) || empty($ID)){ die("Key or ID not set,Selection Error"); exit;} $reviewresult = mysql_query("SELECT Name,Review,Date FROM Reviews WHERE ID='$ID' AND aKey='$aKey' Order by RAND() Limit 10"); //if there is at least one review if($reviewresult && mysql_num_rows($reviewresult) > 0) { while($review = mysql_fetch_array($reviewresult)) { // output reviews } } Are there any security risks with this script? Do you think it is the best method to accomplish what I want? Are there better alternatives? Any suggestions or room for improvement? Thanks! I am trying to make a PHP script that will read the linked file. It essentially is a map array using ASCII charactor codes. It has a 23 offset initial line for the name of the map, and then 76 offset for each row of the map. Half the 76 is for the actual map displaied ASCII chr and the other half for the color. I would think it would be fairly easy to do, but I can't seem to get the code to work. http://cid-b676d7f6bbd68862.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/file.map Anyone have some puesdo code to help me out. i want to display the size of a file but i round it off to the nearest kb. I am using... ($_FILES["file"]["size"]/1024/1024)."mb" i am geting it return something like this.... 1.0313243865967mb and i want it to be more like 1.03mb any idears??? I'm trying to determine why when I select Upload, on the html page I see a message "My extension is:" only, instead of My extension is: webM" for example.Here's the code, I look forward to any assistance: <?php foreach (array('video', 'audio') as $type) { if (isset($_FILES["${type}-blob"])) { $fileName = $_POST["${type}-filename"]; $uploadDirectory = 'uploads/' . $fileName; // make sure that one can upload only allowed audio/video files $allowed = array( 'webm', 'wav', 'mp4', 'mov' ); $extension = pathinfo($filePath, PATHINFO_EXTENSION); die("My extension is: " . $extension); if (!$extension || empty($extension) || !in_array($extension, $allowed)) { echo 'Invalid file extension: '.$extension; return; } if (!move_uploaded_file($_FILES["${type}-blob"]["tmp_name"], $uploadDirectory)) { echo (" problem moving uploaded file"); } } } ?>
I want to make the news feed on my website easier to maintain. I just created a form that I will use to add the information. The form saves the files that it creates as "entry-date-time.txt" and places it in a folder for the year and a sub folder for the month. Such as "2011\09". I have displayed data from a single flat file before, but I am unsure how to go about displaying the data from multiple files. Can anyone show me an example? I want to be able to paginate the data, displaying a number of updates per page from newest to oldest. I don't have MySQL access on the server or I'd just use that, instead. Hello So in my index.php code i include('somefile.html');. In the html file itself there is an <img src="/images/picture.jpg">. When looking at index.php on a browser, the html looks fine everything loaded fine except for the <img> There is a little broken image link displayed on the page. i checked through the browser if i mistyped the img src link but somefile.html in the browser displays the image fine. But if i try to display the img in the html file through the php file, its a broken link. Any reason why this is happening? Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance. Hi! I'm a total stupid newbie. Please humor me. So, I'm trying to make a guestbook, just as practice. So far I have a form that writes entries to a file, each entry on a new line. Entries look like this: Code: [Select] 11:11 am, Oct 12th, 2010|name|website|message My dividing character between parts of the entries is the vertical bar. I don't know if that's a bad idea. As I said, I'm a newb. I should probably find out how to make a code that makes it so people can't use that character in the form. Anyway, this is my code so far trying to display the entries. So far, I just want to show the date of the first entry. $file = fopen("posts.txt", 'rb'); while(!feof($file) && fgetc($file) != "|"){ $date = $date.fgetc($file); } echo $date; fclose($file); I already have a problem. The code does stop at the vertical bar, but instead of showing the date as "11:11 am, Oct 12th, 2010" it shows "11 m c 2h 00". I'm just super confused, and I don't know what to do. Thanks. (: Hello again. I'm trying to load data from a Facebook Share Data XML file and then displaying them in a WordPress plugin. Here's my code so far: // Fetch Share Count Data function fb_button () { $fbshareUrl = urlencode(get_permalink($post->ID)); $fbshareTitle = urlencode($post->post_title); $fbLinkStats = simplexml_load_file('http://api.facebook.com/restserver.php?method=links.getStats&urls='.$shareUrl); $fb_params = '?u=' . $fbshareUrl . '&t=' . $fbshareTitle . '' ; // Vertical Facebook Button $fb_share = ' <div class="fsbsharer" id="fb"> <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php' . $fb_params . '" class="facebookShare"> <span class="fb_share_size_Small fb_share_count_wrapper"> <span></span> <span class="fb_share_count_nub_top "></span> <span class="fb_share_count fb_share_count_top"> <div class="fb_share_count_inner"> '. $fbLinkStats->link_stat->total_count .' </div> </div> <span style="cursor:pointer;" class="FBConnectButton FBConnectButton_Small"><span class="FBConnectButton_Text">Share</span></span> </a> </div> '; echo $fb_share; } This code works for everything except the title and the share count. I can fix the title myself but the share count isn't working. When I use this in plain HTML: <?php echo $fbLinkStats->link_stat->total_count.''; ?> it works fine, but when I combine it all into another function to echo, it no longer works properly. Thanks. I am using the following php script to display all the files that are uploaded in a directory on a page. There are two files in the folder I do not want displayed: .htaccess & index.php. Can someone help me out and provide a little guidance about what I need to do to print all the file names EXCEPT for those two. I imagine some sort of if statement. CODE: Top of page: Code: [Select] <?php $dirname = "."; $dir = opendir($dirname); ?> Body: Code: [Select] <?php while(false != ($file = readdir($dir))) { if(($file != ".") and ($file != "..")) { echo("<a href='$dirname$file'>$file</a> <br />"); } } ?> Thanks so much! So, I'm trying to get this read my text document "news.txt" and display the contents. My code: Code: [Select] div.newscontent{ padding:0px; margin-top:60px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:400px; margin-right:0px; position:absolute; width:457px; height:330px; text-align:center; color:#FFFFFF; } Code: [Select] <div class='newscontent'> <?PHP $filename = "news.txt"; $arr = file($filename); foreach($arr as $line){ print $line . "<br/>"; } ?> </div> This is the output I get: Code: [Select] "; } ?> Whats wrong? Hi, I have a separate form created using Dreamweaver that calls a separate php script when the Submit button is clicked. Currently I am able display form validation messages in a new html page. If the user leaves fields blank, I would like the messages to appear on the form itself instead of in a new page. How do you make the messages from the php form validation code display into the calling html form? I know I could just do this with Dreamweaver but I would like to learn to do this using php. It might be easier to embed the code within the html page but I was thinking that using the separate script would be more secure. My form can be found here. Validation is working but opens a new page: http://www.tallfirshoa.com/adform.htm Thanks! Rob
Hi! The file login.php and the config file containing the db connection are in the model folder and the login_view is in view folder. I have a script (main file is index.php) that is called into an iframe src via an url reference... http://www.xxxx.com/folder/userfolder/folderwithemailname/index.php works perfectly!!.. How can i prevent someone getting direct url access to the file? if someone were to take the url: http://www.xxxx.com/folder/userfolder/folderwithemailname/index.php and place it into the address bar, they have access to the file... points to note: -i have no database for this script, -the iframe is called directly into a html file, - i dont know the userfolder or the emailfolder names, - and the index.php is linked to several other .php and .js and .html files in different folders.... // i can add something like this to these file:(i found this on the net). Add this to the page that you want to only be included <?php if(!defined('MyConst'){die('Direct access not premitted');} ?> then on the pages that include it add <?php define('MyConst', TRUE); ?> this will prevent the files being accessed, but then i cant access the file via the iframe url.. please any ideas??? best regards Tony Hi, i have export the search result to excel file, but arabic characters not displaying properly in excel file, eventhough i mention the header content type as utf-8 here my code... Currently I have a site set up where I manually edit the txt file and the site pulls it from the text file and displays via php. I wanted to automate it by creating one file which contains the sunset times for the whole year, and have php determine todays date and then display the corresponding sunset time. Can someone please point me in the right direction? maybe it can be set up in a way where each line in the txt file represents the day of the year. ex: Jan 1 would be line 0, Feb 1's sunset time would be on line 31 etc. Thanks I was wondering how I would go about doing a sorting of a new element being added on the page. This element would have to be alphabetically sorted into the existing elements onto the page. For example: I am making a file manager, so when a user creates a new file, it would be sorted into the already existing files and displayed in the spot that it should.
All necessary details would be provided by PHP, so I would only need help with the JavaScript part.
Honestly, I have no clue how I would get around to doing that. I was thinking earlier that it would involve looping through each class of file_name and getting the text() value. Then add all of the values into an array and sorting it somehow. Then it would be getting the <tr> of which file_name is before it, and then append under it somehow.
I'm not asking for any free code, but I was wondering which (JavaScript/JQuery) functions I would be looking for. I was also wondering if the idea I had would be beneficial or not, or if there were any other ways. Here is how the files are displayed as is:
<?php // There may be undefined variables, this is only part of it $return = '<table id="manager" class="table table-bordered"> <thead> <tr class="table_header"> <th><input id="select" type="checkbox"></th> <th>Name</th> <th>Size</th> <th>Last Modified</th> <th>Type</th> <th>Permissions</th> <th></th> </tr> </thead> <tbody>'; $path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']; // Scan the directory and remove the paths from the result $files = array_diff(scandir($path), array(".", "..")); // Get the number of files in the directory $num_files = count($files); // If there are no files in the directory, return the empty directory variable we defined earlier if($num_files == 0) return $empty_dir; $directory_array = array(); $file_array = array(); foreach($files as $file) { // Set the path correctly $file_path = $path."/".$file; // If the item is a directory if(is_dir($file_path)) $directory_array[] = $file; // The item is a file else $file_array[] = $file; } // Sort each of the arrays alphabetically sort($directory_array); sort($file_array); // Merge the directories and files into one array - directories shown first $files = array_merge($directory_array, $file_array); // Loop through the items foreach($files as $file) { $file_name = $file; // Set the path correctly $file = $path."/".$file; // Get the information for the file if(is_dir($file)) $file_size = "--"; else $file_size = @filesize($file); if($file_size === false) { $checkbox = '<input id="files_check" type="checkbox" name="files[]" value="'.htmlentities($file_name).'">'; $file_name = htmlentities($file_name).
