Lets say that I have several arrays, as follows:

$array1 = ('A', 'B', 'C', 'D', 'E', 'F', 'G');
$array 2 = (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ;
$array 3 = ('!', '@', '#', '$', '%', '^');

These three arrays are stored as session variables, and the page showthem.php displays the arrays. However, the page can only display a maximum of 4 items at a time. Therefore, the pages should display as follows:

Page 1 =
-> Table 1 (LETTERS) A, B, C, D

Page 2 =
-> Table 1 (LETTERS) E, F, G
-> Table 2 (NUMBERS) 3

Page 3 =
-> Table 1 (NUMBERS) 4, 5, 6, 7

Page 4 =
-> Table 1 (NUMBERS) 8
-> Table 2 (CHARACTERS) !, @, #

Page 5 =
-> Table 1 (CHARACTERS) $, %, ^

I can't figure out how to use the count() function and the array indexes to create proper pagination on showthem.php

Obviously I would like, at the top to have page numbers that link to the appropriate content from the arrays.

As in:

Hi,

I am trying to create a view where the user can sort by any column.

What I have made so far works great, but when it comes to pagination, which I will be trying soon, I foresee a problem .

The thing is, my code gets data out of a database and puts it into a multidimensional array, which is sorted using afew array sorting functions.

It is a query that drives the main loop, and inside that loop are other queries that get various data from other tables, which is where the problem lies when coming to sort with pagination.

What I would like to know is how would I build a myslq query that can accomplish the same thing as my code, but do away with the need for the arrays?

I know maybe it can be done using many subqueries(?) but I am pretty average at MySQL.

I'm having troubling with trying to create a function to spit out a single array with the following array. I can write it in a away that looks through the arrays manually.

Sorry to bug yalls with yet another problem, but I tried applying pagination to the page I use to display the news on my website, which is stored within mysql, and I'm having major issues. Here's the code below for both the pagination and getting the news out of the database to display. Not sure what's going on here. I tested the script and it does everything fine except it doesn't display the information stored within the database.
