PHP - Creating An Image. Receiving "the Image Cannot Be Displayed...contains Errors"
Been just trying to test out some basic code that utilizes gd. In Chrome i receive a blank page. In firefox I get "The image "image.php" cannot be displayed because it contains errors". There is no whitespace before or after the php tags, which seems to cause this error sometimes.

I looked at other common causes. gd2 is un-commented in php.ini. phpinfo shows: GD Support enabled GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible) FreeType Support enabled FreeType Linkage with freetype FreeType Version 2.4.3 GIF Read Support enabled GIF Create Support enabled JPEG Support enabled libJPEG Version 6b PNG Support enabled libPNG Version 1.2.46 WBMP Support enabled XBM Support enabled gd.jpeg_ignore_warning 0 0 I have not found any other solutions to try, or maybe I have made an error is checking these solutions. I basically have a database record that outputs to screen and I need the code in the <code> tags to be rendered to the screen. This works by having the actual image name stored in a hidden session variable, using the following lines of code on my readfile page "label.php" like this: Since I do not want customers to be allowed to ever see the image again after logging out, is it okay to rely on a hidden session variable for the filename as I described above? (Potential hackers will be less tempted to "try different image names and numbers" like "id1.png, id2.png, id3.png" because they will have no idea if the image will be a gif, jpeg, or png, nor have any idea of a numbering sequence.) I'm attempting to set up a script that will choose a "random" image from a directory and then place it in an article when it's posted. I currently have a php file that randomly assigns a picture on each refresh, however my employer wants the image to be static after posting. So I guess the short of my question is, what would be the best way to go about something like that or is it even doable with PhP. Hi all, I'm iterating 4 images out in a loop. All 4 images exist (definitely), and using an earlier script, have been resized to a width of 200px, so they are not large. I'm finding that if I use the following code: Code: [Select] $image_info = getimagesize($filename); $type = $image_info['mime']; echo $type; .. some of the images come up with no mime type. Is this normal? As a (possible) result of / link to having no mime type assigned to it, I'm getting: [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory .. but I am positive the image exists. Viewing the image info in a browser gives "image/jpeg", so I'm a bit weirded out as to how the script queries the image for a mime type, and it returns nothing. The database table is of type innodb. I see some errors in my log file of the nature, "(1205) Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction". I have a class which contains the session handler callbacks and have made it a singleton class. session_set_save_handler( array($this, "db_open"), array($this, "db_close"), array($this, "db_read"), array($this, "db_write"), array($this, "db_destroy"), array($this, "db_gc") ); In my "db_read" method, I am doing a "SELECT FOR UPDATE" on the row with the session id. So, while performing load testing on my app. which has a lot of ajax calls, I noticed the "lock wait timeout" errors. How do I resolve this problem? Any suggestions? 1) Should I catch these errors and issue a explicit "commit" in the read or write methods? 2) Should I specify a higher timeout value for "innodb_lock_wait_timeout"? Ive set up a booking form on my website to be sent directly to my email once the client clicked on the send button.. If I could find out why it cannot create the remote file, that might do a world of good. But I've been through all of /var/log and some log messages acknowledge the ssh session, but don't give any clues as to what goes wrong. I've looked at the user, password, host name and port name in and around the ssh2_connect() call. They are all good. I've also checked the permissions and ownership on the destination directory. They aren't the problem either. I've also tried duplicating the call w/a command-line scp call, and that test passes also. Hello again, I'm trying to work out the right way to do this, and I'm wondering if some of you could give me some tips or point me into the right direction. Basically what I'm looking to create is an "editable" proposal generator to make things a bit easier around the office. Basically you would have a landing page to select your product, select the options, add pricing, and plug a price into a lease payment generator that would spit out the math for the 12/24/.../60 month payment options. I thought about just creating it all in PHP with html forms for all of the variables (customer name, which product, options, etc) and then using PHP to do the math for the lease payments (easy enough I think,) but the part where I'm having trouble is the actual printing and archiving of the proposal once it has been generated. Ideally I would like it to fit perfect on a page every time, obviously, but there are other problems such as the header/footer parts coming out on the page (which I know is a client side thing that I can't really get around.) Is there a better way to do all of this? Is there another language I should be looking at that would make this easier conceptually? I'm sure a few of you have run across this "Editable Invoice" ( http://css-tricks.com/examples/EditableInvoice/ ...) I imagine it behaving similar to this (written with css, javascript.)
