PHP - Loading Specific Image When Certain Link In Navigation Is Clicked?

Hi there,

I've been tasked with the job of re-doing the company website from scratch and I'm having a bit of trouble with some of the logic involved as I'm not a web designer by trade. Or by any reasonable stretch of the imagination.

Anywhoot, what I'm struggling with is this:

I have laid out the website so for each of the core business units there is one php page, call it 'page x'. On page x there are two sections; a sidebar and a content section. At the top of page x there is a menu bar with a links to a different category (eg. services, products, about, contacts, etc). What I have at the moment for page x is an INCLUDE statement in each of the subsection which pulls through a html page and plops it down in the right place.

What I am struggling with is how to use the links at the top of the page to pull through a different html page depending on what link I click.

I was thinking that I could use something a couple of variables, $sidebar and $content, and then some kind of on-click function to pass a string to each of the variables and then use the INCLUDE statement to call the correct pages.

What I have tentatively come up with is this :

Would this work in principle? How do I go about making sure that the variable in the link is declared properly? Is there a better way to go about doing this that I am missing due to my ignorance?

Hope someone can help because Uncle Google is getting fed up with my vague search terms.

I know with a submit button I can have a new record created when clicking it, but is it possible to do with a text link?

I feel like a moron asking this question as it seems to be one of the most common things done with php but I cannot find a tutorial (probably because I don't know the correct wording to search under) on this specific thing..

Anyhow.

I'm spitting out a list of the Titles of my test table like so (and its working as expected):

It's no surprise it's not working (with many variations etc), but I am only familiar with using <form> GET or POST, and these of course are not form elements, so I cant seem to call them the same way.

My suspicion (and from the research data I could find) is that I need to pass values in my link: <a href='posting_details.php'> ...

I could not get it to work, but I was trying variations like: <a href='posting_details.php?get[title&get[description]]'> but it seems like I am screwing things up even more by doing this..

Anyhow. If anyone could show me a tutorial that covers this specifically or some suggestions on the best approach to this would be much appreciated..

i'm new to php and don't really know where to start here...  i'm automating a system that scrapes a site for a particular pdf download link (got this far), downloads it, parses the pdf, etc...  problem is that you must be logged in (while viewing in the browser) in order to access the pdf...  if you're not logged in, you are redirected and the download fails...  i do have a proper login...

how would i go about utilizing my login in order automate the pdf download?
is there a way to send the login with the url request?  or open a stream, login, and retry the download?

Hi

I'm trying to create a page where there is a grid of images and if you click on one of those images it will expand. Once the image has expanded and you click on the i icon that is below it, the i icon will display the information about that image.


This isn't like a popup or anything like that, because when you click on the image and it expands, it expands in the same spot and it doesn't popup.   Here is the html

Is it possible to build a PHP Template page that selects and publishes a row of data from a MySQL Database when a linked is clicked?

I would design: Template.php
Text links (perhaps on homepage of navigation bar): ProductA, ProductB and ProductC

If you click link ProductA Template.php would display data for ProductA and likewise for ProductB and ProductC.

I would also like search engines for find ProductA, ProductB and ProductC PHP pages. (Not just my single Template.php)

Any ideas as to how this could be done without designing individual PHP pages for each product?

Hi, I have three divs all with different z indexes. One div shows a  clickable world map that goes to the monsters and background divs, which is set up in an array. The problem is, when the map is clicked, it doesn't go to the first element in the array, and when I go "back" with the back button, it doesn't go all the way to the map. Also, I want to link 2 image maps togather, and I don't know how to do it. any help GREATLY appreciated. Here is the relevant code.

Hello again, guys!
I have a couple of questions that I hope anyone can answer.

I am making a form that is storing the information in a database, and in this form I also want images to be uploaded.
I want to make a function that allows the user to upload as many images as they would like to have in their ad on my website, and I also need something that can handle the upload process, and see how many images the user is trying to upload. Any easy solutions for this?

I also have another question:
As you can see on the example image underneath this text, I have a form with multiple inputs where the user is suppose to choose how many inputs they want to fill in themself.
How should I store this information in the database, and how can I make a script that detects how many of the forms the user actually filled?

I use the Wholesale Suite Premium Prices plugin with WooCommerce. I have 6 specific wholesale roles out of 15 that I wish to hide two specific shipping methods from being selected for the 6 exceptions. I'm just trying this on my staging server at this time using a code snippet example that I found and modified for my specific conditions. Would the following work for this purpose?
