Table Issue - Multiple Location Values For User Pushes Values Out Of Row Instead Of Wrapping In Cell
Hey guys, I am a webmaster for my church and I am fairly new to PHP. What am trying to is when a visitor goes to our radio ministry page and clicks a button which the message number is displayed in the read only textbox, it will go to my request CD page and auto populate the message number in that text field form the readonly text field from the previous page. I have a form where I have inserted 7 pre-populated relational lists. All of the information is pulling correctly from the databases, but when it posts, it's posting the value "ids" instead of the chosen text. Being a newbie at PHP coding I'm at my wits end trying to figure out:
a) how to pull-in values from a delimeted text field (in a MySQL table) and check/select the appropriate checkboxes, based on the values that were stored in the text field,
b) how to write any changes (made by the user) back to the tables' text field.
Note that this is for an "update.php" file/process.
My "create.php" file/process uses the following HTML to display and accept the checkbox values:

Now, I've figured out how to bring-in, and separate the stored values using the following code, however I have no idea what to do next...in order to have only the approprite boxes checked/selected (in the event that all boxes were not selected during the create stage).

All works perfectly. The dropdownlist consists of 3 parts <optgroups> first is current selection (what is the usesr current selection)works fine, The second <optgroup> is existing words, what words we(the site) have given as options, and the third <optgroup> is the words that others have used. This is where im having a small problem. Because its a text field when i call the data from the database, it calls the entire text box as a single option in my select list.. I want to break the words in the text field (at the comma) and have them listed each one as an option in the select list. When I run a query to pull user information, when the user has multiple sites to his or her name, its adds the second / third sites to the next columns, rather than wrapping it inside the same table cell. It also works the opposite way, if a piece of data is missing in the database and is blank, its pull the following columns in. Both cases mess up the table and formatting. At the end i want to sort the output by alphabetic order of the keys which i should achieve with sort() i guess?
