PHP - Export Data From Php[mysql Db] To Excel In Particular Cell.

So i have this script, it pull data via mysql and inserts it into an excel file.
However it does not properly tab each field as it should nor go to a new lines as it should instead it stick everything into 1 whole row.

Ok but here's the kicker... this same identical script runs 100% fine on another website. The only difference is the query string. There it works fine on this new site it bugs out.

any idea where the bug is?

Hi All,

I am exporting data to excel, but run into a problem if the text contains a line break.  When it gets to the line break, it cuts off the rest of the text.

The subject could be a bit vague, but my problem is simple. (I think so)

So I made a php test site that is quite similar to a forum. Where you see a title or a subject and when you click on it you will see more details about that subject.
I made my database and script for inserting data into my mySQL database.

I also did my output aswell, so every topic is posted on a webpage "archive" where you can see all the subjects.

But now I want to see the full details of that type of subject by clicking on it. I have no idea how to make that happen
googled it but didn't find any results...just wondering if it's even possible to do that.

Trying to get rid a line feed which is coming from a excel cell which has Text and a line feed after that word.
After the excel file has been saved-as tab-delimited, that text transforms to this: "Text"
That line feed is between t and the last double-quote. Hex viewer shows: 22 54 65 78 74 0A 22 so it must be that 0A.

I have tried with trim() and with str_replace("\x0A","",$data) but nothing (like \r or \n) works.

How do I get rid of that hidden character? Is that \x0A correct?

if I run the script from the server. (http://localhost/export.php) it is work. (pop-up window if i want save or open the file)

but if i run the script from the client (http://192.168.1.5/export.php) it is not work. (nothing happen)

any idea how to solve this?

Hello everyone,   I have one humble request and I hope someone here will help me.   Before I start, I have to say that I'm clueless about PHP and I'm in a little rush, so that's why I don't have a lot time to learn about PHP.   My problem is:   - I have a IBM DB2 table on one side, and PHP application on other. DB2 table is like a "temporary" table.   -  All data from table has to be inserted into PHP  application, which should then send those data to another tables back in DB2, with same types.   I'm trying to automatically insert some values made in MS Excel solution via DB2. Values should be inserted into PHP application and saved, so that user can see those entries done. I'm just trying to eliminate double entering of same data from MS Excel. I believe when values are inserted and saved, all datas will be automatically send to another tables - because application allready does that.   Table data is: _Date_,_Name_,_Start_Time,_End_Time_ (and PHP application has input fields for that)   What I need is just some links to what kind of PHP coding I should use, or maybe even better If someone provides me a simple example. Code should prefferable be generated from a cmd_button in PHP application.   I'm sorry in advance If question is stupid, probably only some export command should be done, but I still need an example of PHP code for that.   I hope I was clear!   Thanks for help !!
