PHP - Please Help With Update Problem

" with query ". $Sql); The problem is the date field resets to 00-00-0000 in the DB if I don't change the date ij the update orm. How can I fix this? My database is updating correctly, but the checkbox is not. Every time i do it, it won't do the addition but update the table with the current price. Please, what am i doing wrong?

Hi guys, basically, I've got a web application I'm working on for someone; they want a system where they can book drivers, and they want a tick box where they can check the availability of a driver. The check box name is "field14" and has default value of "1" for ticked and "0" for unticked. Now, i've INSERT into the database a ticked box so in the "available" field is has "1" meaning yes, the people is available....but now the problem is if I want to tick off and say they're unavailable, how would I do that, because everytime I tick off it still represents the value of "1" and shows them as available.... Now everything works as it should until the data from the form (on the edit target page) should be updated in the database. I require that the user must update at least one field. For example they may want to extend the completion date so I would only want to update the completion date field in the database and the fields the user left blank should not be updated in the database. The problem I am having is regardless of if the user enter a value into the field it updates the database so if the user leaves a field blank it updates the database will a blank value. Please try again.'; } } } So the question I ask is how can I stop entering blank values into the database and only update the information the user enters into the form? Also I was thinking of having one mysql query at the end and using the IF statements to build the query. Thoughts? Thanks for any advice. been trying to get a code up and working for a update database form, couldnt really get any working i found from google and then after a bit of help from here i got a crazy idea and stopped dead and my tracks and switched gears. so i thought, why not just use the form i used to insert my database and change it around a little. same concept, how should this not be possible ? for reference here are my tables and structure Movies ID(PK) Title Category(FK) URL 0 Name 1 http://www. Sorry!</p>"; exit; } ?> Thanks in advance what Im basically trying to do is just like a phpmyadmin function... you select rows you want to update with a checkbox and then it takes you to a page where the rows that are clicked are shown in forms so that you can view and edit info in them... and then have 1 submit button to update them all at once. I'm new to PHP and I was able to figure out how to populate data from my database into my text fields. I am trying to add the update information to the same php file; however, I am now receiving errors within the data I was able to populate,

I tried setting up this query like the one which gathered the data, but I'm off by a little bit. I would like the option to be able to update all fields. Any help is appreciated. I'm trying to learn as I may get asked to update other forms in the future. (new boss asks a lot)

Hi Guys, I want my UPDATE function from the code below to only update those fields that are NOT empty - if they are empty on submit then do not update or change any values from that field. I know that sounds odd, but with my file fields, when I submit to change something else at a later date it will overwrite the photo, download1,2 & 3 values and as a result I loose my files from the mysql table. I'll only include the query part of the code since that's what is relevant to my problem. The idea is basically to upload a new picture onto the database if no picture already exists for that member and display the picture on the page. If a picture already exists, then the script replaces the old picture with the new one upon upload.
