PHP - Need Help With Mysql And Php (matching Word With Database Values)

Hi friends. I want to php code on how i can modify my retrieved database values from a particular table before echoing out. Please could you help me correct the code. Or if there is any better way of editing loop datas before printing out, please kindly drop the code for me. Thanks

well - i guess that the answer to this will be the same no matter what language we are using.
If the db is a sql database we need to design the database schema and create the tables in the database.

The first step in accessing a db in our code is to get a connection to it.
If ruby is our choice of language, a search for "ruby sql connector" will give us
lots of options to read about.

Well - we also can do it in PHP. What do you think!?

Next, based on the schema we have designed, we need to create queries suitable for storing the data.
We will likely need to consider our transactional model.

Again, searching "ruby sql transactional model" will give us plenty of food for thought. Finally, we may want or need to close the connection to the database.

Am a newbie in php. Since I can't insert values to the database with respect to a user Id or with any other token using WHERE clause.

I.e "INSERT INTO receipts(date) VALUES(example) where id="**....."

What I need to do, is get the values from the input fields and then match them with the correct hidden field value

So if in the first input field, I typed in 'Test data' and the second input, i typed 'This is great'

On the POST, I need to find the the value ('Test data') and also the value from the hidden field.

I have 3 tables w/ the following fields:

I am trying to write a script (and still working on it) that will INSERT new cities in cities WHERE New_cities.state_id = Cities.state_id.

So basically what I am trying to achieve from this code is giving my page dynamic content based on if the the ?id= of a URL matches a row of my 'FullRegistration' column.   So for example if I have a URL like this "www.cars.com/carview.php?id=NG61CWJ" I then want my script check if there is a row that has that value in the 'FullRegistration' column of my table and then echo out the results of certain columns of that row like this example currently in my code:

In theory 

FROM import WHERE FullRegistration = $carId

should make this happen however for some reason on my server when I use the script above I get nil results returned instead of the results of the row that matches the GET id I get:   Mileage: 0 Engine size: cc I am aware my code is insecure at the moment however it isn't an issue at this moment in time.   Any ideas why I might be getting nil results returned, my other queries to this table have worked flawlessly however I am having bother with this one, can you see anything in this code that might cause this issue?   Here is the database connection file that is included at the top of the code block just in case this could be a bit of a problem:

All of these queries are working flawlessly on the live site so the db connection is obviously working.

In querying my database, I'm Selecting nameFirst and nameLast, and it produces a name like Joe Smith.  I'm trying to match a photo with the name.  Right now I'm uploading photos into a folder naming the file (e.g. SmithJoe.jpg). 

For reasons that involve writers being able to upload and access photos, I'm trying to use an image plugin.  When uploading photos, it strips capital letters, so SmithJoe,jpg goes in as smithjoe.jpg, and it's not matching my database query.

}it puts $data[#'s] in the database fields instead of the actual data that '$data[0]','$data[1]'... relates to.

I wrote a script to create the values in $headdata_1 based on the number of headers in $csvheaders1 but can't seem to get it working in the sql statement.

i am having the database consists of morethan one lac rows. we have a search option
in our website to search the database for required information. the present code is
like this:

with this some times the output comes in thousands of rows. with which we are facing
problems.


we want to search the two or more fields for getting more precise results.

it worked in the mysql console, and even in our website when we give all the
variables. but it displaying the entire database when we dont give even one field in
the search box. i tried to assign NULL to the variable which was not given. it is
also not worked. it works if any variable is replaced with NULL in the query. i
don't know how to do that.


i tried a lot of queries after searching in lot of code provider websites. but none
of them gave the desired results.hence i request you to provide me a sql query code
for search the database using all of the above fields or any two or even with one.
the code must work independent of number of fields we entered.
