PHP - Php To Locate Certain Text In String

I have the following variable:

$text = "javascript:openimage('http://images.icecat.biz/img/norm/high/5966342-254.jpg',850,850)"

Now I want to put the string "http://images.icecat.biz/img/norm/high/5966342-254.jpg" into a variable called $url
( $url = "http://images.icecat.biz/img/norm/high/5966342-254.jpg" )

I am trying to take a string from a database and replace everything within {} with code... similar to how posting in a forum works.


so say I have "...Lorem ipsom {gallery:1} sit imet..."
it will take that string (from a DB) and replace "{gallery:1}" with "<?php gallery('1'); ?>". How can this be done? Or is there keywords I can search on to find the answer? Thank you in advance.

The table in the script has a set max-width. How can now a too long continuous text string as in "blaaaaaaaa", which also does not contain a space or dash, be broken, so the table does not become stretched to far?

Okay for some reason i cannot do this, when i open a file in php and search for string, it doesn't seem to work, some codes i tried:

I tried many others like strstr, stristr, preg_replace etc etc, doesn't seem to find it.. this is my text file:

I am trying to wrap a string with an anchor tag if it finds a match with a block of text. Here is an example text block:

CONOCO 1'10x8 VC DF TP SGN||PRINCIPAL ILLUMINATION||ENG: CO3028TP_0VPR||DWG: CO200428||TO BE: DYED DIESEL (SPEC)||

The string I would want to wrap with a link would be "CO200428". 

The next problem is the drawings (what I'm searching the text for) has over 115,000 possibilities. The text blocks to search are over 1300.

I have the drawing names stored in a simple mysql table...but doing a foreach takes forever...I imagine it will take even longer when looking in the text blocks...

Is there a way to easily to do the anchor wrap? I don't know regex very well...

I wanted to replace a strings in a large text file .. what would be the fastest way ?!

e.g the text file contains ..

I wanted to replace the string " VALUES (1, " with  "VALUES (" in each line ..

I have this but of php i have been trying relentlessly to get working.. for over a month.

You see, I get a responce only using the last line "$words[4]", (obviously, because I am pointing it the Matching word, (ie: with [4])
What i need to have is that the script will automatically "find" that Matching Word for me with ANYwhere of the string of $abs (not just the beginning or the ending)". 

not making it confusing, but the obvious word in this I am looking to find is the word, "words".

Hello, I am attempting to create a script where a user puts a text string into a form and clicking on submit. Then it adds that text string to a mysql database and gives the user a link back to it. Something like mysite.com/key.php?id=4 and when going to that link it will display the text string from the database but printed in an image. I wrote something up but I cannot get it to work. I may be a little in over my head. Any help is appreciated.   The way I coded this all to work is the user inputs the information into index.php which givekey.php inserts that into the database. I have not yet figure out how to do this in one single step. After that I wanted it to navigate directly to key.php which would display the key and the link to that page with the ?key=XX attribute.

In my Laravel 8 / jQuery 3.5.1 app I need to put string text in javascript like :

I try to replace crlf characters with method like

I have several "sites" located in my html directory, and each has a "general" access point and an "administrator" access point:

/var/www/html/site1/index.php
/var/www/html/site1/administrator/index.php
/var/www/html/site2/index.php
/var/www/html/site2/administrator/index.php
/var/www/html/site3/index.php
/var/www/html/site3/administrator/index.php

All sites are similar except that data will be specific to site1, site2, or site3, etc.   Users who log onto /var/www/html/siteX/index.php are totally unrelated to those who logon to /var/www/html/siteX/administrator/index.php, will have different logon credentials, are stored in different DB tables, and each should have their own session.  If a user logs off of either the general or administrator site, it should not effect the other site even if they were previously logged on to both on the same PC (and of course not effect other sites). When a user logs off, I would like to destroy their previous cookie and associated session.  Users for either will only use https.  I am using Apache to rewrite https://www.mysite.com/ to https://mysite.com/.  While I named the administrator site "administrator" above, the administrator user has the ability to change the directory name.   I am thinking I need to use session_set_cookie_params to specify where I wish the session cookie to be stored since /var/www/html/siteX/administrator/index.php is a sub-directory to /var/www/html/siteX/index.php, but am not really sure.  Sorry for the cryptic post, but I am not very well versed in this subject. How would you recommend setting up cookies/sessions for this scenario?  Thank you

I am trying to make some adjustments to uploadify.php which comes with the latest version of uploadify (3.0 beta), so that it works with a session variable that stores the login username and adds it to the path for uploads.  Here is uploadify.php as it currently looks:

I added Code: [Select]
echo $targetFolder; at the bottom so that I could make sure that the string returned was correct, and it is, i.e. '/songs/nick'.  For some reason though, uploads are not going to the correct folder, i.e. the username folder, but instead are going to the parent folder 'songs'.  The folder for username exists, with correct permissions, and when I manually enter Code: [Select]
$targetFolder = '/songs/nick';all works fine.  Which strikes me as rather strange.  I have limited experience of using php, but wonder how if the correct string is returned by the session variable, the upload works differently than with the manually entered string.

Any help would be much appreciated.  It's the last issue with a website that was due to go live 2 days ago!
