PHP - Sql Update/insert Result Keeps Returning False
Does anyone see anything wrong with the SQL? This function keeps returning false.

I get no connection errors, no PDOExceptions, the db structure is correct, and there is valid data in the database. Any help appreciated, thanks. I find it a bit buggy that strpos returns false instead of -1.

The problem with returning false is that false can also evaluate to 0 which can also happen to be the first index of a match. Therefore, you have a hard to find bug. I know that you can use the identity operator to check for falseness: ===. But wouldn't it be a better design for the function to just return -1?
I am trying to take all the information from $results and input it into a text file, sometimes we get duplicates in $results so I want to check the text file for the entry before writing it in so we don't get duplicates in the text file. I'm having some issues with a select statement containing ABS().
Here's the select query:

What happened to 13?! printing the "husnr_range" values shows "3,4,5,6". What puzzles is the row missing, as I only get 4 results, with a "LIMIT 5". Can anyone explain why the last resulst isn't included? this is only returning one record, when I know there are more, and it's an endless loop crashing my browser, can someone tell me how my brackets are wrong, or what is wrong? If there are the same number of inputs in the db compared to the number of inputs received from the select boxes, the update query will simply kick in. 2. If there there are less number of inputs in the db compared to the number of inputs received from the select boxes, the insert query will only insert those values that aren't already in the db. I will use a Cron to report the amount of views. Do I? (1) INSERT a record every time and count up at end. Remember, I'm using a Cron to report amount of views so won't be counting up on every page request!! (2) UPDATE a table (but won't I need to SELECT previous value first)? Unless, "UPDATE field1 and add 1 to it's value" is possible. Hi All, I have the following code which is a form that pulls records from a database to show and it also allows you to dynamically add new rows to the database and im stumped. when I submit a form the record that previously existed is updated perfectly but any time I add a new record it is adding it but one field called total is getting its value from the first row of the database instead of using the data from the form. any help is much appreciated.
