PHP - Http Header Change And Output Buffering

Hi i turned my output_buffering to true on my php.ini because i need some of its features for trailing the system my problem now is when im getting .csv file using header function, it seems that it gives me the source code of the interpreted code instead of the expected .csv contents.

im just wondering does output_buffering true  in php.ini affect the output here? if so
any other suggestions there of how i can download .csv files using php? thank you much for the people who will help

Ok so I have this script that I wrote and it works really good.  I wanted to display the number of records in a table and since the db only changes once per day I thought I would put the couner on the back end.  I have this script that changes the value of the text file every day.  But I would love it if it outputted with commas.   Now it reads: 1234070   Want it to read: 1,234,070   Any thoughs?

Is there any way to have html output and then clear the output to allow for headers to be changed?  This is still while the php file is executing.  The reason I ask is that I am trying to output a progress bar of an excel file being created.  So while the file is being created by php, I want to output to the browser a progress bar and then once it is complete, I need to set headers so that it downloads it as an excel file.

Is this possible or does anyone else have any ideas?  Should I maybe save the file on the web server temporarily and then redirect to the file afterwards?

Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to run a simple program that, when submitted, stores the username and password as cookies.  When clicking Submit, I get the error  "HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed". If the username and password fields are left blank when submitting it's suppose to give a message to enter a username and password, but, I still get that error message.

How do I only redirect the page when index.php is present?

Well I have a script that executes a scan on a system set to run infinitely, and I need it to echo out a message each time it loops through, but I don't want it to echo out the message with the next loop message below it, and the next one below that etc... I've tried using the flush(); function and been messing around with that with no luck. For security reasons I don't want to release any of the processing code, but here is the basic construction of the script:

Hello everyone, I'm just starting out with PHP as I need to create an online bookstore for a school project. I'm working by a magazine which should teach you exactly how to do this using PHP, but I've had a bunch of problems with the code they use and I don't really know what's going on. Anyway, this looks really simple and basically  what it does is allows you to post a comment on a book, then returns you to the book's page. Problem is, I'm getting the Header may not contain more than a single header, new line detected. error and I can't figure out why. I've tried researching into the matter but all the cases I found had to do with returning to an url, which is not my case.

conectare.php connects to the mysql database. $inapoi is the variable which returns the user to carte.php (the book he posted a comment on), where id_carte is the book's unique id. Can anyone help me? I've been stumped on this for a few days now and I've just let it pass and started working on other bits, but it's bugging me too much and I'd like to fix it.

I am trying to build an app which will scan a site multple times, the only problem is the 403 error, how do I get around this.
Searching seems to imply curl or user_agent, but can't get it working.

Any suggestions?

I already have it to strip they <a href="whatever

but not sure if I can do the other.

I am learning PHP using the book "Beginning PHP and MySQL 5 - From Novice to Professional", and I have come across a lesson in the book which I am stuck on.
The lesson is on using the echo() statement. I've typed in the following code and saved it as a php file....

My Apache and PHP is working fine as my other PHP files work properly.

When I try and view the file it says...
"The website encountered an error while retrieving http://localhost:8888/phpdocs/multiplestringsecho.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly."

and when I click on more information it says...
"HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."

Any ideas? Have I done something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I don't know very much about php.
I don't know any at all, actually. I play a game called Roblox where you get to use the programming languange, "Lua" to script your own games. What I am requesting has been done before on this game, but I only know Lua. I was also told PHP cURL is needed. Anyways, let me get to the point. I am essentially trying to create a system on my webserver (You can send HTTP Requests to external sites in this game via script) that will essentially log into an account on Roblox, to perform a task. My current idea would be to have the Lua script send a request to my webserver with an generated code that would access the username and password of my roblox account (Which would be on the webserver). It would then perform a task.

Is this a good way to go about this? If not, I am open to suggestions. If you can find the time to actually help me set this up on my webserver, I would greatly appreciate it!
