PHP - Dreaded Unix Time Stamp Problem - Anything Beyond 01-18-2038

I am trying to enter a new time stamp into mysql database when a user logs in at my site.
I read on the update syntax but can't seem to get it to do it.. It reads the values just doesnt write the values into mysql.

Hello, i need a fast convertor that converts the date format 03-03-2008, 08:26 PM into a timestamp fast.
Like, you paste 03-03-2008, 08:26 PM into a post form, submit and it gives you the time stamp.

I made a convertor a whille ago, but you need to insert each numbers into a separate input box (day, months, year etc)
I cant remember how exactly it functions etc asi haventtouched PHP In a while.....

Apparently PHP doesn't like time()

I'm having a problem with getting the timestamp to attach to the filename.  Currently when it's uploaded in the database it says $timestamp in front of the filename instead of the time.

I have to two variables $cronlast and $cronnow in my php code.
I need to have the time 7am of previous day in $cronlast variable and  7am today in $cronnow variable.
I need the time in UNIX timestamp format.
So everyday when I print the variable I should have:

$cronlast=7am Yesterday(in Unix Timestamp)
$cronnow=7am Today(in Unix Timestamp)

I would appreciate any help.

Hello. I have a mysql database with an 'entrytime' field which contains the unix timestamp the record was added.

How do I create a mysql query to select all records for a given month/year?

For example, if I wanted to create a query to display all records for October 2010 how do I go about it?

I would like to implement a questionnaire/survey system that has only two Answers (Yes /No).

Basically, this questionnaire system will be widely used on Mobile Phones.

Lets say a user selects a response as No (Using the above slider button for a question). That response should be recorded in the database with User Details + Time Stamp.

Also, I would like to generate a report for each question (Responses of Multiple Users) and a report at a User Level for the entire questionnaire/survey (s).

Can some one guide me the fastest & easiest way to achieve this? I'm a new learner of PHP.

I've been using unixtime on my web pages for decades. And I have always known there is a limit to how far in the future I can use it... specifically Jan 19, 2038. I noticed the other day, though, that a page I created to create and process unix times was allowing me to go beyond that date. It's here and not password protected... http://www.widgetseniority.com/unixtime.php.   However, thinking it was now allowed, I attempted to add a field to a table in a MySQL database that showed unixtimes for dates, many of which would go beyond Jan 2038, and when I used mktime() to calculate them, it had that max limit. 

Both these pages are on the same server. 

Any ideas why one might honor the limit, and the other not? I asked the help desk of my web host, who are normally wonderful, and they punted it, saying it was an issue for PHP experts. 

I have a PHP web system that store in a windows server. In the system, there is a function for user to upload files to another server (Shared server in Unix).

When i try to upload a file, it gives warning:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(\\unixserver/sharedfolder/upload/test.txt) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\wamp\www\upload\index.php on line 40

For your information, my username has been assigned in xxx's group that has access to read and write on that folder. Besides, i'm able to open,create and delete files on that folder's server manually (samba).

The safe mode setting is off.

Does anybody has any idea why this thing happen?

Hi,   I'm new to php,   I'm trying to get the month value from a date stamp (ie I have a variable with the following sort of value: 2014-08-20 07:32:20 )   how do I create a new variable with just the month values (ie 08) of the date stamp??   any help would be appreciated.   Thanks !
