PHP - How Do I Put Checkbox Data In To Database And Take It From It?
Hi. I want to put data from these checkboxes (example):
Jan (value = jan) Chris (value = chris) Tom (value = 50) Jon (unchecked) Put janchris50 to the database after finding correct row with user ID, which is user_id for this example. Then, the user goes to another page and he should see this: Jan (checked) Chris (checked) Tom (checked) Jon (unchecked) In other words - page should get the information from the database and check the checkboxes that appears to be checked in the database. By the way, it should rewrite the row each time, as the user can modify it. Thanks. I'm not getting the value here unless I add a submit button. Guessing jQuery / AJAX is the way to go but can't seem to find any good tutorials on it, are there any other suitable approaches to this?

In the below example I am using two while loops, where the second one is nested inside first one, that check two different expressions fetching data from tables found in a MySQL database. The second expression compares the two tables IDs and after their match it displays the email of the account holder in each column in the HTML table. The main problem is that the 'email' row is displayed properly while its while expression is not nested and alone(meaning the other data is omitted or commented out), but either nested or neighbored to the first while loop, it is displayed horizontally and the other data ('validity', 'valid_from', 'valid_to') is not displayed.'

Thnks! I have an audio mix submitting form on my website. The first part of the form takes the details from the user and inserts a new row in the first table 'mix', auto incrementing to generate a mix_id primary key. The second part then uses a series of check boxes to select which genres the mix contains and a foreach for the resulting array to insert, into the 2nd table 'genres_for_mix', a new row for each genre id (foreign key for the genres table) that is selected and the mix_id that it concerns. Now I'm starting to think this is a bad way to do this because: 1. I don't know how to echo this out when a user edit's the mix to make all the relevant checkboxes selected. 2. When a user deselects a choice, it would be quite long winded to delete the nessesary row. So instead I'm thinking that it would be much wiser to user the serialise functions to put the array into the database However, I still don't know how to make the right checkboxes selected when I echo out the edit form. Hi, I've currently started to modify a chat script of mine to output a moderation panel but the moderation page seems empty(blank) every time I load it. What im trying to do is to take the ID part in my URL via the $_GET and look it up in my database table in the column named id, then select that specific row to be able to retrieve the StringyChat_ip and place it into another table to ban the IP and the second thing im trying to do is to be able to delete the specific row from my table.
