PHP - Validating Currency In Text Field
Does anyone know how I can validate US currency using php that is entered into a textbox? The textbox is setup as a decimal in mysql and i'm trying to make sure only decimals are entered so when php calculates the values entered I don't receive errors.

Hi , As we know we validate the user input data while processing the from. We validate to avoid XSS for that we use html filter to filter invalid tags and all. If the data it self contains some tag like data Ex: <HOMETOWN RANGE> . the html filters truncating it to <HOMETOWN> though the the tag is not a HTML tag . The brief field is where user add info about their ad. Now people are including web url, phone numbers and email address in this field which make the ad look like spam. In the code there is already a function that check if they have entered their email address in the email field. I want to add a function to the check field to include the brief field. The function should either automatically delete any phone number/email addr/web url or replace with with my website name if detected in the brief field. Your help will be highly appreciated. The third file displays the already existing comments on the page. You have the option to reply to the existing comments on the page.
