PHP - How To Split Listing In Column And Remove Space Between Rows <ul>
How to split the attribute-options after row 15 so it show attribute 1-15 than split the listing than show row 16-30 in a new column split again and show the next 15 attributes and list them in a new column?
Also how to remove the space (3 mm) between each row Code: [Select] echo '<tr><td><ul><li style="list-style: none; "><input type="text" name='.$i.'_quantity value="" style="text-align:right;" size="3"> '; echo tep_draw_hidden_field($i.'_id[' . $products_options_name['products_options_id'] . ']', $products_options_array[$i]['id']) . $products_options_array[$i]['text']; echo "</li></ul></td></tr>";[code] Similar TutorialsHello everyone,
I new to the php world and I'm only working with it for 5 days now. So I'm a noob
But I've got a good start atm, I already could connect a database with my webpage and show all my coloms I need.
Now I got a problem with the fact, my database is way to big to display on 1 page. To much load-time, so that's the reason why I want to split up all my products.
20 for each page, like in this tutorial: http://www.phpjabber...hp25.html?err=1
I think I'm almost there, my problem is that when I click on the number from the next page (like nr 5), it doesn't show my next 20 products.
But when I look to the url, that seems ok, because I get something like this; index.php?page=1
Can someone help me to find out, what I did wrong? And plz, remember, if you give me an answer, plz keep it short and simple. I'm a noob at this.
This is my code:
<?php include('connect-mysql.php'); if (!empty($_GET["page"])) { $page = $_GET["page"]; } else { $page=1; }; $start_from = ($page-1) * 20; $sqlget = "SELECT * FROM artikel, images LIMIT 0, 20 "; $sqldata = mysqli_query($dbcon, $sqlget) or die('error getting'); echo "<table>"; echo "<tr><th>A_ARTCODE</th><th>A_NUMMER</th><th>A_OMSCHRN</th><th>A_REFLEV</th><th>A_WINKEL</th><th>I_ARTCODE</th><th>I_FILE</th></tr>"; while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($sqldata)){ echo "<tr><td align='right'>"; echo $row['A_ARTCODE']; echo "</td><td align='left'>"; echo $row['A_NUMMER']; echo "</td><td align='left'>"; echo $row['A_OMSCHRN']; echo "</td><td align='left'>"; echo $row['A_REFLEV']; echo "</td><td align='right'>"; echo $row['A_WINKEL']; echo "</td><td align='right'>"; echo $row['I_ARTCODE']; echo "</td><td align='right'>"; echo $row['I_FILE']; //echo "<img src='000000-001000".$row['I_ID']."' />"; echo "</td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; $sql = "SELECT COUNT(A_ARTCODE) FROM artikel"; $rs_result = mysqli_query($dbcon, $sql) or die ("mysqli query dies"); $row = mysqli_fetch_row($rs_result) or die ("mysqli fetch row dies"); $total_records = $row[0]; $total_pages = ceil($total_records / 20); for ($i=1; $i<=$total_pages; $i++) { echo "<a href='index.php?page=".$i."'>".$i."</a> "; }; ?>I hope someone can help me. Edited by GetAWeapon, 03 June 2014 - 07:25 AM. I'm familiar with 'trim' and even tried the following: $datanew = str_replace(array("\n", "\r", "\t", " ", "\o", "\xOB"), '', $data); but for the life of me I can't remove any white space within the source code which is messing everything else up. This is what I need: What people see.... Code: [Select] word1 word2 word3 The source... Code: [Select] word1 word2 word3 This is the current situation What people see... Code: [Select] word1 word2 word3 The source... Code: [Select] word1 word2 word3 For whatever reason, if I can strip the whitespace from the source code then I can use the content accordingly. How would do you strip the white space? Does this even make sense? I'm looking for an update statement that will remove all the extra space from a specific field. For example, all data on this field a "Apple " "Orange " "Grapes Banana " I'd like to update the database to remove the space at the end. Thanks. I have a mysql table that looks like this: id int(11) autoincrement artist varchar(50) title varchar(50) I need to check for any rows that have the same titles. So for example, if I had the following rows: 1 - Bob - Hello World 2 - Charlie Brown - Theme Song 3 - Joe - Hello World 4 - Joe - Is Cool 5 - Bob - Magic Dude The query would display Row 1, and Row 3 as duplicates. Any idea how I can do something like this? Hi Everyone, I am working on implementing a blog comment system using the query below to display comments. My question is what is the best way to do a row count for the id column with this query or do I need to do a second db query to accomplish this? The purpose of this is to echo out the number of comments for that post, before displaying them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance, kaiman <?php // get url variables $post_id = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['id']); include ("../../scripts/includes/nl2p.inc.php"); // connects to server and selects database include ("../../scripts/includes/dbconnect.inc.php"); // table name $tbl_name3="blog_comments"; // select info from comments database $result3 = mysql_query ("SELECT count(*) FROM $table_name3 WHERE id='$post_id' ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 1") or trigger_error("A mysql error has occurred!"); if (mysql_num_rows($result3) > 0 ) { while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result3)) { extract($row); // display number of comments // display date $row_date = strtotime($row['date']); putenv("TZ=America/Denver"); echo "<p class=\post\">On ".date('F, jS, Y', $row_date)." "; // display commenter name if($row['url'] == "") { echo $row['name']." wrote:</p>\n"; } else { echo "<a href=\"".$row['url']."\" target=\"_blank\">".$row['name']."</a> wrote:</p>\n"; } // display content $comments = $row['comment']; echo nl2p($comments); } } else { echo "<p class=\"large_spacer\">No Comments</p>"; } ?> Hey all, Im currently working on a site which I save a cookie on users computer for 1 month as well a row in a table with the 1 month expiring date plus cookie id. What I would like to know is if theres a way to make the server check the table every day at say 12pm to see if any corresponding user cookies in each row have expired on that day as to remove them from the table to match the expiring cookie on the users computer? I would like not to have to rely on a user/admin accessing in to make a script run instead have something thats timed to go off automatically instead? Is there anyway of doing this? Thanks! I've been using this code for a long time and realised it's very repetitive, but the id_column I want changes all the time function getRows() { $query = mysql_query($sql); $rows = array(); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query)) { $rows[$row['id_column']] = $row; } return $rows; } So I wrote this function that will automatically create an array with a column I choose if I wish, but I'm not sure if it's very efficient. function getRows($query, $column_id = false) { $rows = array(); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { if($column_id === false) { $rows[] = $row; } else { if(isset($row[$column_id])) { $rows[$row[$column_id]] = $row; } else { $rows[] = $row; } } } return $rows; } I would appreciate some input as to make it better. Thanks. Hi all, This topic has been moved to MySQL Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=349563.0 Please help me. I'm fairly new to php and have been looking for answers on Goog for about two weeks or so with not an answer. This is my first post on a forum of any type. I have a form on a php page that when submitted sends a value to a confirm php page Code: [Select] <form action='buyconfirmorder.php' method='post'> Purchase: <input type='text' name='ask_shares'><br /><br /> You Will Pay:  <input type='text' name='ask'><br /><br /> <input type='hidden' name='postcardname' value='$postcardname'> <input type='submit' name='submit' value='Order'> </form> I need to take the users input from the form and subtract each row from a mysql DB one at a time until the users input is down to a remainder and then I need the remainder (I'll be working with the remainder as well). Code: [Select] $query = mysql_query(" SELECT * FROM ask, search WHERE search.id = ask.card_search_id AND search.card_name = '$postcardname' ORDER BY ask_price ASC"); The array will be numbers only. So an example would be: User input from the form is 100.00 Code: [Select] while($rows = mysql_fetch_array($query)) { $ask_price = $rows['ask_price']; } Let's say the array is 50.50, 40.50, 35.00 I need some code to do: 100.00 - 50.50 = 49.50 49.50 - 40.50 = 9.00 9.00 - 35.00 = <0 does not do anything so remainder = 9.00 would it be something like Code: [Select] $new_ask_shares = $_POST['ask_shares']; //some sort of a loop or array or combo of both ($new_ask_shares - $ask_price); the numbers are just an example as the actual numbers will be different each time I query my DB. Thanks in advance what Im basically trying to do is just like a phpmyadmin function... you select rows you want to update with a checkbox and then it takes you to a page where the rows that are clicked are shown in forms so that you can view and edit info in them... and then have 1 submit button to update them all at once. I have a table with postcodes in it. At some point some of the codes will be entered with spaces (LA12 5TH) and some without (LA17HU) what i need is a function to check if there is a space, if not - count back 3 characters from the end of the string and insert a space. I don't know which string function to use - looked at pad but that seems to be for either end of string and not the middle - any ideas? I have 2 queries that I want to join together to make one row
Hi friends, i want to ask a question. i have two page: "slider.php" and "mansethaberler.php" i extract two data from the database, named "addnews_headline" and "addnews_image" in slider.php. i create link to extracted "headline" from the database. Now i want to do that. When i clicked the link in "slider.php" i want to listing the image and headline in "mansethaberler.php". "mansethaberler.php" <?php $veri = $db->query("SELECT * FROM haberlerekle ORDER BY haberekle_id",PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)->fetchAll(); ?> <div class="col-lg-9 col-md-9 col-sm-12 col-xs-12"> <?php foreach ($veri as $haber) { ?> <div style="border:1px solid black; height:50px; background-color:#17a2b8; color:white; line-height:50px; text-align:center;"><?php echo $haber["habereklesayfasi_baslik"]; ?></div> <div class="row no-gutters"> <img class="col-lg-12 mt-2" src="upload/images/<?php echo $haber["haberekle_resim"]; ?>" style="max-height:444px;"> </div> </div> <div class="col-lg-12 ml-auto mt-1 mb-1" style="padding-left:7px;"><?php echo $haber["haberekle_konu"]; } ?></div> "slider.php" <img src="upload/images/<?php echo $row["haberekle_resim"]; ?>" width="832" height="502"> <!-- upload/images/ ile <?php ?> tag'leri arasında boşluk olursa link kırılıyor. Edited August 19, 2020 by CodingStudent i forgot to put the most important codes I am trying to have an event with each performance listed for the event underneath. I have worked with the MySQL Forum and have gotten to the point where my coding for MySQL is complete, but it still will not work. I was told from the MySQL Forum group that I need to now post these in this forum... Here's how I tried the coding: Code: [Select] <p class="categoryHeader">Theatre</p><?php $last_eventtitle = NULL; // remember the last EventTitle while ($Row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($TheatreResult)){ $eventtitle = $Row['EventTitle']; if($last_eventtitle != $eventtitle){ // a new or the first EventTitle was found echo '<p>'; if($Row['Ranking']<10){ echo '<img src="http://www.myalaskacenter.com/images/logos/acpa/weblogo-small_nowords.jpg" alt="Alaska Center for the Performing Arts" width="80" height="80" border="0" align="right">'; } if ($Row['FreeEvents']==TRUE){ echo '<img src="http://www.myalaskacenter.com/images/free.gif" alt="Free Event" width="67" height="64" align="right" border="0">'; } echo '<a href="' . $Row['ShoWareEventLink'] . '"><img src="https://alaskapac.centertix.net/UPLImage/' . $Row['thumb'] . '" alt="' . $Row['EventTitle'] . '" title="' . $Row['EventTitle'] . '" align="left" border="0" style="padding-right:5px"><span class="Heading3_blue"><br />' . $Row['EventTitle'] . '</span>'; echo '<br />Presented by <a href="' . $Row['website'] .'" target="_blank">' . $Row['Presenter'] . '</a><br />'; if($last_eventtitle != NULL){ // not the first EventTitle, close out the previous section echo '<br />'.date("l, F j, Y", strtotime($Row['startDateTime']). ' at ' . date("g:i a", strtotime($Row['startDateTime']))).' - <a href="'.$Row['VenueSite'].'" target="_blank">'.$Row['VenueName'].'</a>'; } $last_eventtitle = $eventtitle; // save the new EventTitle // output the heading/start a new section echo '<br />'.date("l, F j, Y", strtotime($Row['startDateTime']). ' at ' . date("g:i a", strtotime($Row['startDateTime']))).' - <a href="'.$Row['VenueSite'].'" target="_blank">'.$Row['VenueName'].'</a>'; echo '<br /><br /></p><hr>'; } } ?> Now it lists the first performances correctly; although it does NOT list the correct number of performances and the first performance is sometimes listed twice -- so almost there. See webpage http://www.myalaskacenter.com/centermail/_upcomingevents.php. For example, Anchorage Youth Symphony only has one performance, but it lists 2; while It's a Wonderful Life has 17 performances, but it lists only 2. What am I doing wrong still? I have a mysql database set up with 4 fields - id, month, day, event. The database will be filled with something like: month=Jan, day=4 and event=Meeting. All are text fields. The display will be Jan. 4: Meeting I can set up the PHP to display the database in a unordered list. The code for this is: <?php $result = @mysql_query("SELECT id, month, day, event FROM homecalendar"); if (!$result) { exit('<p>Error performing query: ' . mysql_error() . '</p>'); } while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo '<li>' . $row['month'] . $row['day'] .': ' . $row['event'] . '</li>' ; } ?> How can I limit the code to display items for only the current month and the next month? directory listing: hi guys, im using a PHP script to output a list of documents in different directory's using a single index.php (apart from the style obv), its not a major issue but bugging me as to how to get it to ignore the "up" link for directory navigation. its outputting the below: . .. this is annoying me... is it possible to get it to ignore these and not output them? Code: [Select] <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css"> <span class="note"> <?php echo "directoryname3"; ?></span> <?php $dir="directoryname3"; if ($dir_list = opendir($dir)) { while(($filename = readdir($dir_list)) !== false) { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo $filename; ?>"><?php echo $filename; ?></a></p> <?php } closedir($dir_list); } ?> <br><br> <span class="note"> <?php echo "<b>directoryname3</B>"; ?></span> <?php $dir="directoryname3"; if ($dir_list = opendir($dir)) { while(($filename = readdir($dir_list)) !== false) { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo $filename; ?>"><?php echo $filename; ?></a></p> <?php } closedir($dir_list); } ?> <br><br> <span class="note"> <?php echo "<b>directoryname3</B>"; ?></span> <?php $dir="directoryname3"; if ($dir_list = opendir($dir)) { while(($filename = readdir($dir_list)) !== false) { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo $filename; ?>"><?php echo $filename; ?></a></p> <?php } closedir($dir_list); } ?> <br><br> <span class="note"> <?php echo "<b>directoryname</B>"; ?></span> <?php $dir="directoryname"; if ($dir_list = opendir($dir)) { while(($filename = readdir($dir_list)) !== false) { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo $filename; ?>"><?php echo $filename; ?></a></p> <?php } closedir($dir_list); } ?> Hey guys I have found this peice of code and messed around with it. I got it to work with Thickbox and I would like to know how to seperate my images aka files to every 4th column. Heres the code I found and tweaked. The images would look great if it was every 4th column they break. Also where would I place he echo command if I want it to display information about that image. Heres the code... Code: [Select] <? /** * Change the path to your folder. * * This must be the full path from the root of your * web space. If you're not sure what it is, ask your host. * * Name this file index.php and place in the directory. */ // Define the full path to your folder from root $path = "images/default/"; // Open the folder $dir_handle = @opendir($path) or die("Unable to open $path"); // Loop through the files while ($file = readdir($dir_handle)) { if($file == "." || $file == ".." || $file == "default.php" ) continue; echo "<a href=\"images/default/$file\" class=\"thickbox\"><img src=\"images/default/$file\" height=\"150\" width=\"150\" border=\"0\"></a>"; } // Close closedir($dir_handle); ?> Ok so I don't even know where to start with this idea so I thought I would poke around here for some inspiration. On my server I have a Directory. In that directory I have roughly 300 folders with 5,000 files + 1 index.php (so 5,001 files but I want to ignore the index.php in the listings) per directory. Anyway what I am trying to do is list all the files and load them into a database. What my ideal goal would be is device a script that I would put in the root directory with the 300 or so subdirectories and let it run through the directories automatically one by one, listing all the files in them and then storing them in the database. I'd break it down more but that part I can figure out on my own cause I do want to do more than just store the file names and corresponding directory its in in the DB. My issue is I can find anything or figure anything out that will cycle through all directories, thats what I need to figure out first. |
