I've included a truncated version of it, There are a lot more fields. Basically when i hit the submit it processes input.php but after its been successful the page is still at input.php in the browser Is there anyway to take the page back to the page i was using to input data Code: [Select] <form action="insert.php" method="post"> <p>Adornment Name: <br> <input type="text" name="name"> <br> <br> Quality: <br> <select name="quality"> <option value="Other">Other Not Listed</option> <option value="Superior">Superior</option> <option value="Greater">Greater</option> <option value="Lesser">Lesser</option> <option value="Raid">Raid</option> <option value="Faction">Faction</option> </select> </form> Code: [Select] include 'db_connect.php'; $sql="INSERT INTO $db_table (name, quality) VALUES ( '$_POST[name]', '$_POST[quality]')"; if (!mysql_query($sql,$db)) { die('Error: ' . mysql_error()); } echo "1 record added"; mysql_close($db) ?> what I am trying to accomplish is for the user to select the state they wish, hit submit. At this point another form should show asking which county based on the state they picked, then hit search. At this point, I'm having an issue having the state variable being passed to the 2nd form also having the state they selected stay selected. <?php $default = "Step 1. Pick Your State"; $select = "<option name='statebox'>$default</option>"; echo "<br/><form method='POST' action=".$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']." >"; echo "<select name='search'>"; echo "$select"; /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //Connect to the database include_once 'phpforms/connect.php'; $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM states"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($sql)){ $state = $row['states']; echo "<option name='statebox'>$state</option>"; }//End While /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// echo "</select>"; echo "<input align='left' type='submit' name='stateboxbutton' value='Ok'> "; echo "</form>"; echo "</td>"; echo "<td>"; if(isset($_POST['stateboxbutton'])){ $statesearch = $_POST['statebox']; $selected = $_POST['statebox']; $select = "<option name='statebox'>$selected</option>"; echo "<br/><form action='../search-results.php' method='POST'>"; echo "<select name='search'>"; echo "<option name='default'>Step 2. Pick Your County</option>"; /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //Connect to the database include_once 'phpforms/connect.php'; $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM counties WHERE state LIKE '$statesearch'"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($sql)){ $co = $row['counties']; echo "<option name='county'>$co</option>"; }//End While /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// echo "</select>"; echo "<input align='left' type='submit' name='button' value='Search'> "; echo "</form>"; }else{ }//End Else ?> Alright, so I play a browser game called Politics and War. I run an alliance that has 74 members. In that alliance we offer a bank service for all our members, but I - being the leader - am the only one who can access the bank. I have been building a site that works with the game API to gather data for members and create a dashboard. One of the features I am trying to build is allowing them to withdraw from their account instantly.
So, what I need: To be able to submit a POST request to login to the site (specifically on this page --> https://politicsandwar.com/login) with my username and password, but then I need to keep the session active and navigate to a different page (the alliance bank page). On that page I first need to scrape a value from a hidden input (token) and then I need to submit a POST request to this same page while still being logged in.
I am not asking someone to do it for me, but rather someone to help me know how to go about this. I have never submitted post requests with PHP, but I have used PHP cURL in the past. I also have made POST requests with JS, but never PHP.
Thank you so much for anyone that is able to help! Hey Guys. I am working with a form that shows the grand total on the checkout page. The value of the grand total is inside a hidden field. When click on submit, the _POST array doesn't get back the last value of the grand total. I need to hit the button twice to get the last value. The weird thing is when I echo the value of the grand total it display the latest value, but not with the POST array
For example. If the grand total is $10.00 and I click on submit. It will show the POST['grand_total'] as empty. If I click on submit again it will show the grand total of $10.00.
Below is my code that I am working with. Any help would be really appreciated.

I hope one of the PHP/HTML gurus here can help me. I have a web page that has been altered a bit to add some Google Analytics stuff and I've moved it to a 2nd directory. The original one works fine, the 2nd one won't post the form when I click the submit button. 1st URL https://www.theneutralizer.info/neutralizer 2nd URL: https://www.theneutralizer.info/neutralizer2 I have changed the action property to the correct script, and it does exist. But the problem is when clicking the button nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas? I can send the PHP code if needed, but since it's HTML output, it should work the way it is displayed in the browser. David Hello, I have coded a contact form in PHP and I want to know, if according to you, it is secure! I am new in PHP, so I want some feedback from you. Moreover, I have also two problems based on the contact form. It is a bit complicated to explain, thus, I will break each of my problem one by one. FIRST:The first thing I want to know, is if my contact form secure according to you: The HTML with the PHP codes: Code: [Select] <?php if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'POST') { //Assigning variables to elements $first = htmlentities($_POST['first']); $last = htmlentities($_POST['last']); $sub = htmlentities($_POST['subject']); $email = htmlentities($_POST['email']); $web = htmlentities($_POST['website']); $heard = htmlentities($_POST['heard']); $comment = htmlentities($_POST['message']); $cap = htmlentities($_POST['captcha']); //Declaring the email address with body content $to = 'alithebestofall2010@gmail.com'; $body ="First name: '$first' \n\n Last name: '$last' \n\n Subject: '$sub' \n\n Email: '$email' \n\n Website: '$web' \n\n Heard from us: '$heard' \n\n Comments: '$comment'"; //Validate the forms if (empty($first) || empty($last) || empty($sub) || empty($email) || empty($comment) || empty($cap)) { echo '<p class="error">Required fields must be filled!</p>'; header ('refresh= 3; url= index.php'); return false; } elseif (filter_var($first, FILTER_VALIDATE_INT) || filter_var($last, FILTER_VALIDATE_INT)) { echo '<p class="error">You cannot enter a number as either the first or last name!</p>'; return false; } elseif (!filter_var($email, FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL)) { echo '<p class="error">Incorrect email address!</p>'; return false; } elseif (!($cap === '12')){ echo '<p class="error">Invalid captcha, try again!</p>'; return false; } else { mail ($to, $sub, $body); echo '<p class="success">Thank you for contacting us!</p>'; } } ?> <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'];?>" method="post"> <p>Your first name: <span class="required">*</span></p> <p><input type="text" name="first" size="40" placeholder="Ex: Paul"/></p> <p>Your last name: <span class="required">*</span></p> <p><input type="text" name="last" size="40" placeholder="Ex: Smith"/></p> <p>Subject: <span class="required">*</span></p> <p><input type="text" name="subject" size="40" placeholder="Ex: Contact"/></p> <p>Your email address: <span class="required">*</span></p> <p><input type="text" name="email" size="40" placeholder="Ex: example@xxx.com"/></p> <p>Website:</p> <p><input type="text" name="website" size="40" placeholder="Ex: http//:google.com"/></p> <p>Where you have heard us?: <span class="required">*</span></p> <p><select name="heard"> <option>Internet</option> <option>Newspapers</option> <option>Friends or relatives</option> <option>Others</option> </select></p> <p>Your message: <span class="required">*</span></p> <p><textarea cols="75" rows="20" name="message"></textarea></p> <p>Are you human? Sum this please: 5 + 7 = ?: <span class="required">*</span></p></p> <p><input type="text" name="captcha" size="10"/></p> <p><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Send" class="button"/> <input type="reset" value="Reset" class="button"/></p> </form> SECOND PROBLEM:If a user has made a mistake, he gets the error message so that he can correct! However, when a mistake in the form occurs, all the data the user has entered are disappeared! I want the data to keep appearing so that the user does not start over again to fill the form. THIRD: When the erro message is displayed to notify the user that he made a mistake when submitting the form, the message is displaying on the top of the page. I want it to appear below each respective field. How to do that? In JQuery it is simple, but in PHP, I am confusing! Some code from my pages ,

Hello, I am trying to echo a message before redirecting the visitor to another page. The destination is a variable. This is what i have so far: Code: [Select] <?php if (array_key_exists($_GET[id],$links)) { $red = $links[$_GET[id]]; header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently;"); header("Refresh:3; url=$red"); echo "You will be redirected to.."; } else { header("Location: http://www.example.com"); } exit(); ?> The problem is that it works in Firefox, but not IE. In IE it will work if there is no message and no delay, like the code below: Code: [Select] <?php if (array_key_exists($_GET[id],$links)) { $red = $links[$_GET[id]]; header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently;"); header("Location: $red"); } else { header("Location: http://www.example.com"); } exit(); ? Does anybody have any idea, what is wrong with this code? Thank you in advance! Hi,
I'm trying to display a message first before redirect to other page, but my code just directly redirect the page without display the message.please help me.
if($num_rows == 0) { echo '<script type="text/javascript">alert("Please Enter Correct Details!");</script>'; header ('Location :login.php'); } on my index page, I have a form with the action of formData.php which is this code Code: [Select] <?php include("includes/connection.php"); //opens the database connection //connection.php //function connect() { //global $mysql; //$mysql = new MySQLi('localhost','user','password','billPay') or die('couldn not connect'. mysql_error()); //} connect(); if(isset($_POST['submit'])){ $firstName = $_POST['firstName']; $lastName = $_POST['lastName']; $companyName = $_POST['companyName']; $homePhone = $_POST['homePhone']; $cellPhone = $_POST['cellPhone']; $companyPhone = $_POST['companyPhone']; } $insert = $mysql->query("INSERT INTO names('firstName','lastName','companyName'), phone('home','cell','company') values('$firstName','$lastName','$companyName','$homePhone','$cellPhone','$companyPhone'"); if($insert){ echo "success!"; } else { mysql_error(); } ?> when I push the insert button, it goes to the formData.php page like it should be instead of giving an error or a success message, it's blank. Hello all, my first post after joining this very informative site, unfortunatly I was unable to find the answer to my simple yet frastrating dilemma. I am in the process of building a website that will enable users to log-in through a dedicated loginU.php page, I have all of this working but I would like to display an error message on this page saying if the user has entered a wrong username/password, I have the message displaying on a blank white page, but I would like it to be displayed within the container I have created. the validation code is contained within a different login.php file. At the moment I am using an iframe to display the messages, which I know is not the right way to do it, so am asking for a better way to do it. here is what I have so far: loginU.php Code: [Select] <div id = "div-Login"> <form action="login.php" method="POST" target="loginerror"> <center><h2>Login Here</h2> <p> Username: <input type="text" name="username"><p> Password: <input type="password" name="password"><p> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Login"> </center> <a href="register.html"><pre>need to register? Click Here!</pre></a> </form> <iframe name="loginerror" style="border: 0px; width: 200px; height: 100px; overflow: hidden;" src="login.php"></iframe> </div> login.php Code: [Select] if ($username==$dbusername&&$enc_password==$dbpassword) //if the username & encrpyted password matches the records in the database { if($admin !=0) //if the admin flag is true { $_SESSION['level']='ADMIN';//admin is logging in header ("Location: admin.php"); //the user is an admin, direct to admin page } else header ("Location: index.php"); //user is a customer, direct user to index page $_SESSION['username']=$dbusername; //set the session name to the database record username. } else //$nopass='TRUE'; //header ("location: loginU.php"); echo "Incorrect Password, Please try again"; // if incorrect password } else die ("That username doesn't exist"); // if user doesn't exist } else die ("Please enter a username and password"); //if either field is empty ?> how do I make it so that $message displays on form submit on the same page?: Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); // Must start session first thing /* Created By Adam Khoury @ www.flashbuilding.com -----------------------June 20, 2008----------------------- */ // Here we run a login check if (!isset($_SESSION['id'])) { echo 'Please <a href="login.php">log in</a> to access your account'; exit(); } //Connect to the database through our include include_once "connect_to_mysql.php"; // Place Session variable 'id' into local variable $userid = $_SESSION['id']; ?> <?php $message ='Registration has been verified!'; // Process the form if it is submitted if ($_POST['submit']) { $verified = $_POST['verified']; $sql = mysql_query("UPDATE Events SET verified='yes', WHERE barcode='$verified'"); exit(); } // close if post ?> <?php // Query member data from the database and ready it for display $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM members WHERE userid='$userid'"); And this is the case when just after I solved a problem with my first contact form, I run into another problem again. My latest problem involves the form error thing that tells you that you did not enter any required fields. After I added a error message thing to my contact page and tested it, it doesn't show up. Oh and here's the code: Code: [Select] <?php if ($missing || $errors) { ?> <div id="maincontent"> <p class="warning">You did not enter the required information. Please try again.</p></div> Here is what makes up my contact form. Code: [Select] <?php $errors = array(); $missing = array(); if (isset($_POST['send'])) { $to = 'tate.mikey@gmail.com'; $subject = 'New Feedback Received on MikeyTateLive Productions website'; $expected = array('name', 'email', 'comments'); $required = array('name', 'comments'); require ('/www/zymichost.com/m/t/l/mtlproductions/htdocs/processmail.inc.php'); } ?> <div id="wrapper"> <div id="maincontent"> <p>*=required</p> </div> </div> <form id="feedback" method="get" action=""> <p> <label for="name">*Name:</label></br> <input name="name" id="name" type="text" class="formbox"> </p> <p> <label for="email">Email:</label></br> <input name="email" id="email" type="text" class="formbox"> </p> <p> <label for="comments">*Comments:</label></br> <textarea name="comments" id="comments" cols="60" rows="8"></textarea> </p> <p> <input name="send" id="send" type="submit" value="Send" </p> </form> This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=347360.0 I want to query a database (search) and pass the desired columns from the search results to another page like so: Code: [Select] <?php //address error handling ini_set ('display_errors', 1); error_reporting (E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE); //authenticate user require('auth.php'); if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { // Connect to the database. require_once ('config.php'); //Query the database. $sql = "SELECT* FROM members INNER JOIN images ON members.member_id = images_member_id WHERE members.ethnicity = '{$_POST['ethnicity']}'"; $query = mysql_query($sql); if(mysql_num_rows($query) > 0){ while(($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query)) !== false) { //Redirect to search results page. header("Location: search_results.php?friend='.$row['member_id'].'&me='.$_SESSION['id'].' &pic='.$row['image'].'&name='.$row['username'].'"); } } else { //If no results found. echo 'No results match this search query.' ; } } ?> I get the following error when i try to run the page (by submitting a form from another page which executes this page): Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/a4993450/public_html/profile_search.php on line 31 The culprit line is this one: header("Location: search_results.php?friend='.$row['member_id'].'&me='.$_SESSION['id'].' &pic='.$row['image'].'&name='.$row['username'].'"); As you can see, I eliminated all white space between the variables and concatenations, thinking that that was the problem but I keep getting the error message. I'm at a loss about what to do next. Any help? Hi I built a really simple customer review form https://kickasssoftwear.uk/dev/reviews.html (it's only been optimised for mobile view so far) and it works using the php mail script on this page https://kickasssoftwear.uk/dev/empty2.php - the emails are being sent to me and the format of the emails is OK, and the form redirects to the empty2 page with a mailsent message in the address bar. I know I can leave that page as is and write a nice thank you message in the html - but what I really want to do is have the customers name there too, Thanks 'name' your review has been sent, but I can't get it to work - it's been 4 whole days now and I really need to eat & sleep! Please if anyone has suggestions or advice for a noob, please help. Thanks how can i disply this message withing the form echo "data submitted successfully!"; currently after validation check when data is entered the message show on top of my page not within the form function insertDATA($postData) { if(!ifEmailExists($postData['email'])){ $sql = " INSERT INTO tbl SET email = '".$postData['email']."', name = '".$postData['name']."', phone = '".$postData['phone']."' "; echo "data submitted successfully!";//this line withing the form executeSql($sql); } Hi all I have a script that I have patched together and got to work in pieces. I'm up to the last part. I have the form working and emailing. It also will upload an image by itself and put it in a folder. Now i just need to tie those together and have the image put in the email as an attachment then deleted from server. I have it at a stage where it sends me the users details.. and it tries to send the photo but it comes through as junk txt. I think its the MIME encoding stuff that I have wrong.. not sure? Here's what I have so far. Code: [Select] $attachment = $path_of_uploaded_file; $fileatt = $attachment; // Path to the file $fileatt_type = "application/octet-stream"; // File Type $start= strrpos($attachment, '/') == -1 ? strrpos($attachment, '//') : strrpos($attachment, '/')+1; $fileatt_name = substr($attachment, $start, strlen($attachment)); // Filename that will be used for the file as the attachment $file = fopen($fileatt,'rb'); $data = fread($file,filesize($fileatt)); fclose($file); $semi_rand = md5(time()); $mime_boundary = "==Multipart_Boundary_x{$semi_rand}x"; $headers = "\nMIME-Version: 1.0\n" . "Content-Type: multipart/mixed;\n" . " boundary=\"{$mime_boundary}\""; $email_message .= "This is a multi-part message in MIME format.\n\n" . "--{$mime_boundary}\n" . "Content-Type:text/html; charset=\"iso-8859-1\"\n" . "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit\n\n" . $data = chunk_split(base64_encode($data)); $email_message .= "--{$mime_boundary}\n" . "Content-Type: {$fileatt_type};\n" . " name=\"{$fileatt_name}\"\n" . "Content-Disposition: attachment;\n" . " filename=\"{$fileatt_name}\"\n" . "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64\n\n" . $data . "\n\n" . "--{$mime_boundary}--\n"; // create email headers $headers .= 'From: '.$email_from."\r\n". 'Reply-To: '.$email_from."\r\n" . 'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion(); @mail($email_to, $email_subject, $email_message, $headers); Thanks Wolfsta I am trying to use the new way of validating the entered email in a register form. Code: [Select] /* REGISTER FORM */ // check if submit button has been clicked if (isset($_POST['submit_signup'])) { // process and assign variables after post submit button has been clicked $user_email = strip_tags(trim($_POST['email'])); $user_email = filter_var($user_email, FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL); $nickname = strip_tags(trim($_POST['nickname'])); $password = $_POST['password']; $repassword = $_POST['repassword']; $month = $_REQUEST['month']; $day = $_REQUEST['day']; $year = $_REQUEST['year']; $dob = $year . "-" . $month . "-" . $day; $find_us_question = strip_tags(trim($_POST['find_us_question'])); // connect to database $dbc = mysqli_connect(DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASSWORD, DB_NAME); $check_query = "SELECT * FROM user WHERE nickname = '$nickname'"; $check_connect = mysqli_query($dbc, $check_query) or die(mysqli_error($dbc)); $check_count = mysqli_num_rows($check_connect); // Check if the email exists twice $query_get = "SELECT email FROM user WHERE email = '$user_email'"; $query_run = mysqli_query($dbc, $query_get); $num_rows = mysqli_num_rows($query_run); // check if username is already taken if ($check_count != 0) { echo "Username already exists!"; } elseif ($num_rows != 0) { echo "This email address is already registered in the database, you can not register it twice."; // check if fields are empty } elseif (empty($user_email) || empty($nickname) || empty($password) || empty($day) || empty($month) || empty($year)) { echo "Please fill out all the fields!"; // check char length of input data } elseif (strlen($nickname) > 30 || strlen($user_email) > 50) { echo "Maximum allowed character length for nickname/firstname/lastname are 30 characters!"; // check password char length } elseif (strlen($password) > 25 || strlen($password) < 6) { echo "Your password must be between 6 and 25 characters!"; // check if passwords match with each other } elseif ($password != $repassword) { echo "Please make sure your passwords are matching!"; } else { // encrypt password $password = sha1($password); I would like to implement now an error message stating something along the lines that the entered email address is not valid, how would I have to do the if statement to check the condition? |
