PHP - Split A .csv File
How do i specify that i want the fgetcsv() to use a ; to separate instead of a ,
p.s.(i have no control over the .csv file so i cant change it from ; to ,) Similar TutorialsThis script is supposed to run in the command line. Hey guys, I'm a total newbie here, and just about as a new to php. My issue: I have a very large .html file that contain multiple articles (I actually have a few of these, but we'll start with one for practicality). The article titles are all wrapped in <h2> tags, there are 10 articles in one file. The articles are very simple, just a title wrapped with <h2> and then a few paragraphs wrapped in <p> tags. What I want to know how to do: I want to know if there's a way to open that file, and have each article saved as it's own .html or .txt document (the title & following paragraphs of each article). Ultimately taking my 1 large file, and creating the subsequent 10 smaller files from the articles inside of it. I am having trouble explaining this in text so I'll try to illustrate: I have "Articles.html" - which contains (article1,article2,article3.. ..article10) I want to split "Articles.html" and create "Article1.html", "Article2.html", "Article3.html", etc. Is that possible? Or am I looking at something far more complex than I can imagine at this point - perhaps something I'd be better off doing by hand? Ultimately I intend to stick all these articles into a database, but that's the 2nd part of what I want to do (and I think will be the easier of the tasks). Let me know if you need any additional information in the event my description above is unclear... I simply am having issues figuring out how to separate out the text into individual articles. i wand to split the 24h of a day to parts and select the time that i wand to start the 24h circle to count!
lets say
i give 2 int variables
$day_starts_to_count_from=00;
$split_day_to_parts=4;
so!
$hours_per_part = 24/$split_day_to_parts;
this gives me $hours_per_part = 6 (i split the 24h every 6hr)
how to know the part of my current hour?
lets say the system time is 15:35
how to find that im at the 3d part 12:00-18:00 if the 24h circle starts to count from 00:00

I am using includes for header, footer, and contents which go into a table to keep them organized and a standard look. I can put it all together well, except i dont know how to change the contents.php. I could eventually have hundreds of content pages. Right now i just have one and named it contents.php. So if i add another and called it contents2.php for example, how do i call it or replace the original contents.php. If i used a plain page i could just link to the next page but i dont want to do that. Hi I am trying to split a form as shown in this simple code. I tried what I thought should work but obviously it is not working.
This submits the first part of the form but does not go to the second part of the form. So First name, Last names and Age are submitted but email and cell are not and it throws a undefined index warning for those.
Can someone please take a look at this and suggest if what I am trying to do can be accomplished using PHP.

What's the difference between str_split() and chunk_split()? They seem to perform the same task? Quote A LOT better ways to secure passwords rather than md5'ing it and sticking it in the database if you want to look into them I thought md5'ing a password was the only option on making it more secure. Can point me in the direction of other SECURED options? I'm getting the number of friends in each STATE.
