This is set to retrieve 20 Posts per page for each thread. What I want to do is At the bottom under </table> is display a drop down box which will add a selection for each page of posts. How would I work out how many pages this drop down box needs to add? The posts table is stored in a constant called FORUM_POSTS and they are sorted into threads by thread_id in that table. Similar Tutorialshi guy's i have on one page select from table, and i don't know how to limit showing content from database on 3, and rest to make number under it and when i click on that number next 3 is showen? Something like on forum when you have more topics then you can show, on botom of page are showen numbers (links). Hello everyone, I'm trying to code a section of the site which is like an advertising website (i.e, gumtree) where people can post an Ad on the site and have any responses sent to them via email. The thing is that I have a form where they can enter their details and need to POST the information to the following page which is a preview page of their Ad. I have the form action returning to the same page for validation but I need the $_POST vaules to populate the following page without sending information to the database (in an effort to keep the database clean should they decide not to publish their Ad. There are 3 pages in total CREATE AD > PREVIEW AD (where they can go back and edit if they need to) > Publish AD (where they confirm terms and send to database). I do have session variables already set after login in and a seperate table to hold the details after they have confirmed the Ad & terms. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I know my userid is valid and and the date is set above (I've echo'd these out to make sure). Since the id is auto_increment, I do not put that in my sql (though I've tried that too), nor in my params (tried that too). What am I missing? I feel certain it is something small, but I have spent days checking commas, semi-colons and spelling. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

I need to display a number(the number is retrieved from the db) in the form input field such that only the last 4 digits is visbile, the remaining can be masked as * or X or whatever is applicable. I know the last 4 can be obtained as follows: Code: [Select] $number=substr($number,-4,4); But when i hit the submit button the form validates the input field and checks if the number is a valid number of a specific format. Therefore when I click on the submit button then I should still be able to unmask the masked numbers or do something similar that would help me validate the whole number. It takes get parameters, and for this example I'll call the parameter "step". So I have a URL like this: page.php?step=1 This page has a form with an action of page.php?step=1. The code on the page validates the posting information. So redirection is done by relative path, not full URLs. This all works as expected. Some of you may have seen one of my many posts about email issues. Some users don't get them, and I have determined it is probably because we are marked as spam.
We are a service that grades sales team members on their phone skills. Listening to pre-recorded calls, grading and uploading them to our site, and then another part of our business looks them over and sometimes leaves a message that then get's forwarded to this persons work email.
I have determined there is ways to get marked as spam as default by not having an opt out link. This is not an option, these sales members employer has opted in, and the emails are going to work related accounts hosted at that employer. Also, if one of these staff members is not so bright, or disgruntled they may mark us as spam anyways. The bottom line is that we have very little control over whether we are or are not marked as spam.
So we want to start looking into sending text messages and this is where I start to question how good of an idea this is.
First off, if it was me, and the messages where being sent to a device that my employer did not provide, I would in no way want work related text messages coming to me. Unless there is a vested interest in getting them. IE, I'm the boss at this place and am always on the clock. What if you are on the bottom? It's just a job for you.
What if it is a pre-paid device, text messages cost money. What then? What if they don't even have, or want a cell phone?
The short of it is this. If I'm at a job that is just another job, and this employer tells me that I have to get these messages. I'm going to look for another job. I see the organizations having continuous issues and complaints from their employees. Thus us as a business having issues keeping clients.
What am I getting into here? What are your opinions on this matter? What are your recommendations as to alerting users of something on our site that we can rest assured are being received 100% of the time?

like if I'm displaying a hundred entries , my website will be super long in length so I wanna break those hundred entries into maybe like 12 per page . Then click next page or the page number to view the next 12.
