hello all, i am hoping someone would be kind enough to help me.

All I want to do is copy one table to another (dropping the other first) as a backup, then recreate the original table but blank. I've tried running the functions in PHPMyAdmin, which works. I have a feeling it has to do with either my sql syntax or the escapeString function.
