For example two links
url1.html
url2.html
url1.html shows up when a user clicks that link the link auto changes to then when a new user clicks the linke url2.html then back to url1.html and so on?
Don't know where to start on how I would do this let alone have the server remember to keep which ever link to be held for the next user?
Hello,
I am using this collapse menu from bootstrap:
http://getbootstrap....cript/#collapse
What I did is instead of putting text in the content section I added many links. The links only show up when one of the menu link is clicked.
Now my problem is that in one of the menu sub, there are about 30 links, therefore the user has to go down the page to see the content.
Is there a way to have the menu collapsing on itself when a link is clicked please? Like a reset to reset it like on page load
Thanks all,
Ben

I need to create a textarea , drop down list and submit button . At first , I can type whatever I want in the textarea , but for certain part I can just choose the word I want from drop down list and click submit , then the word will appear in the textarea as my next word . But I have no idea how to make this works , is there any simple example for this function ? Thanks for any help provided . Folks, When someone click on a link on my webpage and if that Link takes the visitor off my site, then i want to make an entry in my database. But if that link goes back to some other link in my Site then i do not want to Count that link. So, is there any code that lets me detect any outgoing link Click? Cheers Hi All,
this is my first post after joining the forum.
First of all, I am not a programmer. My field is of Building design and Architecture. I work for an Architectural company.
I have a great interest in programming and I started learning php, mysql, html css and jscript, to develop a timesheet application for the company. The web application was created and successully implemented in April this year...! However, all these are purely 'self learning', and it has its own downsides as well. This was just a small intro..., let me come to what i request help on. This is for further development of the application.
I have a page to edit the 'utilization' rate of each employee, based on their designations. So the page has all the designations listed as <labels>, next to which a textbox, for the user to fill in the utilization rate. Scenario is that the user will not save each designation's utilization rate immediately after filling it. User will keep going till he fills the last item and then hit the submit button to save. Now, in php I can get all the values from the Request Array. But, how will I know which designations these values belong to? So, what i have as a solution is to name the textboxes with the designation_ids as suffix. May be like;
utilTextbox_1, utilTextbox_2, utilTextbox_3 etc...
Then when the form is submitted;
Check each Request Array element to see if its name starts with 'utilTextbox'
If Yes, split it using '_' to get the designation_id
Update the db table with the value of the text box
Check the next Array Element.....and so on...
is this the correct method or is there a better way of doing this?

Hi, I've recently started working on a site that someone else created. I'm not advanced with PHP like the previous guy was, so picking it up as I go. Currently there is an admin page for managing a database of images uploaded by users. The table on this page grabs the database field values and just fills in the table with tick boxes, etc to manage. Rather than display thumbnails of each of the images on the page directly, the website owner wants to have a list of links to images in the table (this is done), but on hovering over the link, show the thumbnail, have a pop up thumbnail right on the mouse cursor. There already exists the function to grab the thumbnail into the table, but I am unsure how to have this work in a hovering thumb image. Any help would be great. Hello dear friends, I've simple question if i've file called file.php and i want to make button (not href link) just button as <input> when i click on it, it will run file.php just like (href) thanks This one requires lots of up front information: I have a page, for this example that I will call page.php. It takes get parameters, and for this example I'll call the parameter "step". So I have a URL like this: page.php?step=1 This page has a form with an action of page.php?step=1. The code on the page validates the posting information. If the information is bad, it returns the user to page.php?step=1; if it is good, it takes the user to page.php?step=2 via header( "location:page.php?step=2" ). So redirection is done by relative path, not full URLs. This all works as expected. Now what I've done is set .htaccess to be HTTPS for this page, via this code: # Turn SSL on for payments RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} \/page\.php [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] This works (initially). However, once you try to post the form, it just redirects back to the step=1 version of the page. I really don't know how or why that would be. I'm not sure how else I can explain this or what other information you may have. But it's frustrating to not get a page working in HTTPS that works in HTTP. Very odd. Any suggestions? (I don't even really know the best location to figure out when/why it's redirecting back to the original page.) <?php $counter_name = 'Counter.txt'; if (!file_exists($counter_name)) { $f = fopen($counter_name, "w"); fwrite($f,"0"); fclose($f); } $f = fopen($counter_name,"r"); $counterVal = fread($f, filesize($counter_name)); fclose($f); $counterVal++; $f = fopen($counter_name, "w"); fwrite($f, $counterVal); fclose($f); echo $counterVal; ?> This is click counter... Counter.txt only number... How to add a date? Counter / Date 1. 2021-02-28 19:50:47 2. 2021-02-23 17:57:11 etc
Ok, I'm not sure if this is even possible but I will try and explain what I want to do and then maybe someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Say I have a link to an external site like google for example, when that link is clicked the target (google in this case) will open in a new window and the page on my site remains the same, is it possible to insert data into a table in my database at the same time when the link was clicked like an id value for the link, effectively creating a count, which can be displayed somewhere on the page? I really hope that makes sense, any help would be much appreciated! Hi, I have an image map mixed in with php, and it won't click when I click the mouse on it, it won't work. (View image to get an idea of what we're talking about). On this page are 6 columns. ID (autoincremented) This is the # the request is Userid - the user's id artist - the name of the artist the user requested title - the name of the title the user requested added - after I have manually added the sheet music to my site, i click added which will set the "added" column in my sql table to "yes". Also, once added is clicked, an email will be sent to the user that originally requested the sheet. delete - This deletes the row in the sql database, and removes it from view on my page. At the bottom of the page, there is also a button called "Added All", which goes through and sets the "added" status to "yes" for all rows on the page. So, the problem I'm having right now, is emailing the user after I have selected Added. After I figure this out, I need to implement it into the "Added All" button, which will email all the corresponding users. Here is what I have come up with. Any input appreciated. I'm not getting any errors at this point. I tested my variables and all are echoing out correctly. The area that I have specified to email the user is in this if statement: if ($confirm=="true" && isset($_GET['id'])) Here's my code.
