PHP - Split Array Up In Two Parts And Swap Part A And Part B Around.

I'm trying to store the match I get in $result to a variable so that I can easily compare its other values against other values. Here is my code..

When I do $db_match = key($result); I get 0 each time and when I do: 

$db_match = array_search ( $order[ 'job_number' ], array_column ( $result, 'job_number' ) ) !== false && array_search ( $order[ 'line_item' ], array_column ( $result, 'line_item' ) ) !== false;

I get 1 each time...which I assume is the number of matches which meet that criteria instead of the array key I found a match on.

I wish to get only the last part of each array 'g'
And then show non duplicated 'g'
but in the same order that it was in the original array.

I have several job categories on a recruitment website:

$job_category[0]="accountant";
$job_category[1]="php programming";
$job_category[2]="baseball";

these job categories are contained within the urls imediately after the recruiting company's name and before the word "jobs", so we could have the following urls:

www.url.com/company_name_accountant_jobs
www.url.com/another_company_name_baseball_jobs
www.url.com/yet_another_company_name_php programming_jobs

Using the array $job_categories and the page path after the foward slash (e.g. yet_another_company_name_php programming_jobs) please could you tell me how to strip out the job category and the company name? (I'll extract the page path using a mod_rewrite)

hello guys   i wand to split the 24h of a day to parts and select the time that i wand to start the 24h circle to count!   lets say    i give 2 int variables   $day_starts_to_count_from=00;   $split_day_to_parts=4;     so!   $hours_per_part = 24/$split_day_to_parts;   this gives me $hours_per_part  = 6  (i split the 24h every 6hr)   how to know the part of my current hour?   lets say the system time is 15:35   how to find that im at the 3d part  12:00-18:00 if the 24h circle starts to count from 00:00     thanks in advance

I will try and explain simply.   I have a list of item codes eg.  size1 Acolor1 size1 Bcolor3 size1 Bcolor1 size1 Acolor3 size1 Acolor4 size2 Acolor1 size3 Bcolor1 size3 Bcolor2 size3 Bcolor2 size3 Acolor1   I want to take these and split them into parts:   size1 Acolor2 size1 Bcolor3 etc.   Then I want to create a form with 2 dropdowns. The first option would just have all unique sizes so: size1 size2 size3   Then when one is selected, option 2 would show the colours available in that size.   Is there a standard way of doing this? Can I use PHP to create the array and then jquery to display and hide the options?   I'm totally stuck and i'm not just looking for somebody to code it all for me. any help would be greatly appreciated   thanks Sam

I am having problems making it so that if I typed site.php?url=http://example.com it would auto get rid of the http://.

I opened a thread yesterday about an XSS vulnerability when the user is logged in. I'll summarize is in a short quote:

This vulnerability only works if the user is logged in. I want to secure it anyway to give the security companies contacting me about this a break.

He warned me it was a risky but I didn't take him that seriously. Well guess he was right.

The foreach loop he gave me does protect me from the XSS attack, but it also disables the users to use any kind of code in the pages. Next time xyph warns me its risky, I'll know he means it.

Now to my problem, how do I use this foreach loop without disabling the user of using simple html tags?

I'm using PHP to get a list of names from a mysql database, which then produces a drop down list for the user to select an option and then progress to the next page where the selection is displayed with other stuff. My problem is that my drop down list works fine, but when the user goes to the next page only the first part of the string is displayed, ie if the string is Fred Bloggs, only Fred is shown. I can get it to work by adding ' ' around the string name in the option section, but this shows 'Fred Bloggs' in the drop down list which isn't very pretty.

I haven't got the actual code to hand at the moment, but any ideas on where I'm going wrong?

Thanks to everyone that helped me yesterday with my file that finally connected to the database.

However, I have added a new field to my DB and now get further problems.

It works ok, and putting my files, everything works, but when I put 8 pictures with price and other details, it just show one image with details and another image below with details, and the third image below and so on ..
Can I split dynamic list to show 4 images with details on the left side and 4 on the right side?
