PHP - Searching For Next Event In A List

I have a listener which executes a HTTP request to a remote API before the User entity is persisted and uses the response to set one of the entity's properties.  It will also listen for update and remove and will make the appropriate HTTP request to the API but will not modify the entity.  All works as desired... Almost.  If when persisting the entity, I have some error, the remote API and my application become out of sync.  I wish to change my application to perform a second call to the API if an error occurs and reverse the previous call.  My thoughts on how to implement a

Place a try/catch block when executing the query.  Don't like this approach. Add an ExceptionListener which somehow retrieves the entity and makes the applicable changes.  Maybe part of the solution, but too complicated to be the full solution. When adding, updating, or deleting a user from the remote API under UserListener's three methods, adding a callback which gets executed upon a PDOException.  I think this is the best approach and expanded my thoughts below.

Okay, how do I actually do this?  Was thinking of modifying UserListner as follows:

But when trying this approach, I get a PDOException, but my callback never gets excecated.  I've also tried replacing KernelEvents::EXCEPTION with '\PDOException' (note the quotes) with no success.

Any ideas what I should be doing differently?

Maybe some totally different approach?  I suppose I could make the request to the API after the DB query is complete for updating and deleting, but not for adding.

Hi im really confused and annoyed

Im making a real estate website and im stuck ont eh searching for a house part.

Im trying to set up some searches on the different parts of the house usign text boxes for area and postcode and drop boxes for type and bedrooms and bathrooms

i now you have to set up a form with input type text and then call it a name use get/post on a php side and then  $_POST['search'];

But i dnt seem to be able to make a search was hoping someone was kind enough to knock me up some quick code so it is functional and makbe i can work from it

A;so any help towards searching using dropboxes would be awsume and if i have 2 boxes for price upper and lower how would this work

Ok I have a set of PDF files that i need to be searchable. My question how do i go about doing this. Can this be achieved with php or do a need to do something else?

So I've full text indexed the columns I want searchable:

Yet when I run a match() against(), I get 0 results:



If I do:

I get 2 results. Why does that work, yet keywords don't?

I've been reading a few tutorials on how the best way to search key words in a database and at the moment im trying to get this query to work but its coming back with a error:

#1191 - Can't find FULLTEXT index matching the column list

query:

any help or advise on how the best way to search 2 columns on matching words...thank you  

Hi, I want to create a search which uses the 'title' of my 'product' table and matches the terms the user has submitted.
At the moment, my products are displaying one by one.

For example,
I have an apple and apricot in my table.
The user searches 'a' and the search results show 'apple' but not apricot.

Hi,
In my mysql database i have a text input option, in the registration form and edit my details form i have a multiple select dropdown list, which user selects options to populate the text input box, which ultimately populates the text field in the mysql database.
All works perfectly.

The dropdownlist consists of 3 parts <optgroups> first is current selection (what is the usesr current selection)works fine, The second <optgroup> is existing words, what words we(the site) have given as options, and the third <optgroup> is the words that others have used. This is where im having a small problem.
Because its a text field when i call the data from the database, it calls the entire text box as a single option in my select list..

I want to break the words in the text field (at the comma) and have them listed each one as an option in the select list.


Example what i need:

Words in text box:(my input allows the "comma")
word1, word2, word3, word4, word5, word6,

How i want them called/displayed:

It works ok, and putting my files, everything works, but when I put 8 pictures with price and other details, it just show one image with details and another image below with details, and the third image below and so on ..
Can I split dynamic list to show 4 images with details on the left side and 4 on the right side?

This works great, but now I want to do something similar with a checkbox list, where each checkbox has an associated 'onchange' javascript function and I'm getting pretty stuck.

My checkbox list is of the following form:

What I want to do is have 'Option1', 'Option2', etc. stored in an array in LISTS.php and have a PHP script that populates the checkbox list accordingly, in a similar manner to my select menu above. I can't work out how to get the ID of the next <li> and the next <input> in the list to go up by one each time, e.g. 'li1b' then 'li2b', 'li3b', etc.

Now I have a list of Arrays and I would like to see if our variable value (i.e 5000|6000) is in that list of Array: Here is the ArrayList:

How do we find this through code, do we need some kind of looping or how do we check it.

I need the code which would give the user an option to search using AND, OR, ALL functions.

The result must come in another webpage which has numbered display results, like page-1, page-2, page3...

I am working on a poject, where the search functions doesnt work as the user wishes. The coding is technically correct, but the idea behind it is wrong.

Basically at the moment, the script receives this:

thesite.com/search.php?q=xxxx&Submit=Search

The search script then runs a database query to search the tag coloumn, looking for like $q. This would work, however the structure of the coloumn is tag1, tag2, tag3, tag4.

So my resolutions is this so far:

I explode the $q variable, via the + (if you search more than one term "thesite.com/search.php?q=search+stuff&Submit=Search"

I then count the elements in the array and write the database function accordingly

The problem with the current system, is because the pictures have alot of tags and the database query is $like $q, it just shows all images in the database as the result
