PHP - Help, Php Form Problems

This is related to how PHP processes checkboxes in a form. I have a checkbox in a form called chkNewpart:

In my db, the field that holds this value is a tinyint, and the default is 1, which stands for true. So when I display the checkbox, if the value of the field is 1, then the box should be checked. That part works.

The problem I have is when I uncheck the box and save the checkbox to a php variable, and then the database field.

I get no errors but php doesn't seem to change the field value, when I look at it in PHP Admin.

How do I handle the values of checkboxes properly? I'd like 1 to be true and 0 to be false.

I have Gender, Date of Birth, and Captcha validations. Though they are not working.

Lets start with gender. Then captcha, then DOB.

I call the Gender check via doing if(user::isValidGender($this->gender) == FALSE) $errors[] = "Invalid gender";
"user" is another class.

The function isValidGender() is as follows

When I do if(in_array($gender, $validGenders) == FALSE) die("error"); it doesn't die. It displays "Invalid Gender" which means that if it doesn't do the die() it returns true. Though it checks if the function returns false when calling "isValidGender()".

If I put the die() above the if, it dies. So it obviously is returning true, but why is it displaying the error?

I am very new to php and mySQL and i am currently working on a new site which I want to create a form where my sit visitors can leave their details so i can send them emails with future promotions...

I have uploaded the files and when testing the form there doesnt seem to be any errors messages, but then when i go to my phpMyAdmin to check i it has worked. I can not see any of the information to which i ave entered from the form n the website.. I would be very grateful if somebody can please help me... the code for the php is as below..

I have a form which is working, but the client wanted to add a recapatcha field so I am implementing that and placed the recaptcha code in the same directory as my form. The recaptcha displays, but you can enter in anything and the form still submits, so it's not doing any good!

Not sure where the problem lies exactly, but was hoping for some help if someone has experienced anything similar.

as far as everything goes, i have it working but not quite perfect yet...
you may assume already what im trying to do, and yes im making a comment box option for each news posting I have. I have it working up to the point of showing comment posts and posting them. But my issue is, anytime i submit a comment for one news post, it will repeat the post for how many news postings i have and will place them in each news posting.

I have a form on a page which is accessed when a user logs into their account.
The form dynamically pulls bits of the users info from 2 tables in a mysql database, Tables (ITEMS) and Table (USERS).
Table (USERS) holds the users info (NAME, EMAIL ETC) while Table (ITEMS) hold information about the users items for which they may have several of.
When the form page is accessed all the users items from Table (ITEMS) are dynamically shown on the form with several radio buttons at the side of each item.
The user can tick certain radio buttonss at the side of each item and click the send button.

TRYING TO ACHIEVE...
After the form is sent a thank you message is returned on the same page with details of the items and what radios were ticked.
An Email of the same is sent to user with info of the items and what radios were ticked.
An Email is also sent to me with same info of the items and what radios were ticked.

WHAT I AM ACHIEVING SO FAR WITH CODE BELOW:
The form page is ok showing all users items, radios, send button etc.
The returned thank you page is fine showing items, what radios were checked etc.
Even the email part is working sending an email to the user and myself.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT A SEPERATE EMAIL IS SENT TO BOTH OF US FOR EACH ITEM THE USER HAS IN THE DATABASE.
I JUST WANT ONE EMAIL SENDING TO BOTH OF US DETAILING ALL ITEMS.

I realise this is because of the while statement in the call to the database which is looping the below code for each item thus sending an email for each item.

What I can not suss out is how to send just the one email with all items on.
Tried moving the closing loop bracket all over the place and parts of the code but to not avail.

I am trying to use pagination on the record getting displayed into the table and there's restriction on record that at a time total 15 records can be displayed and others will be displayed by clicking on NEXT (on which i did the following coding).
In my SQL query 'where' clause there is

It was working at one point, but it's not anymore. Also, when it was working, the "specialty_vacation" field (which is a checkbox) would not pull in any data. Do I need to do something different to access checkboxes?

I am in the process of converting to Object Oriented from Procedural. To cater for this I have built an admin_login function, contained within a class: 'siteFunctions'.

However, I am having trouble pointing the admin form to the function correctly.

Every time I click 'submit', the form does not process anything. It doesn't even 'think' about it i.e. show the egg timer....

I have built this script heaps of times using the procedural method, so I guess I am somehow doing something wrong with respect to referencing the action attribute of the form (due to my new approach).

I am very new to OO so please go easy on me: I know the script isn't particularly advanced. I just want to get used to putting functions into classes, and then calling the code, before I move onto more advanced stuff.

I have placed all of the files within the same folder in order to rule out driectory path issues.

SECOND PROBLEM:If a user has made a mistake, he gets the error message so that he can correct! However, when a mistake in the form occurs, all the data the user has entered are disappeared! I want the data to keep appearing so that the user does not start over again to fill the form.

THIRD: When the erro message is displayed to notify the user that he made a mistake when submitting the form, the message is displaying on the top of the page. I want it to appear below each respective field. How to do that? In JQuery it is simple, but in PHP, I am confusing!

I have read around and can't seem to find the right coding for what I need on this forum and some other other forums.

I have a contact form (as listed below) and I need 2 locations (Print Name and Title) fields to auto-populate on a separate form (can be a doc, pdf, etc. any form of document which is easiest) and this form can be totally back end and the individual using the form never is going to see the form.

It's going on a contract form, that we would like to auto-populate.

Also is there a simple attachment code so individuals can attach documents to the code?

Hello, first time poster..  I've looked the web over for a long time and can't figure this one out.

- Below is basic code that successfully checks MySQL for a match and displays result.  I was debugging and forced the "height" and "width" to be 24 and 36 to make sure that wasn't the problem.  That's good.. 
- I'd like to give the user ability to select width and height from a form.. and have it do an onchange this.form.submit so the form can be changing as fields are altered (thus the onchange interaction)
- In a normal coding environment I've done this numerous times with no "Page cannot be displayed" problems.  It would simply change one select-option value at a time til they get down the form and click submit...  but in WordPress I'm having trouble making even ONE single onchange work!
- I've implemented the plugins they offer which allows you to "copy+paste" your php code directly into their wysiwyg editor.  That works with basic tests like my first bullet point above.
- I've copied and pasted the wordpress url (including the little ?page_id=123) into the form "action" url... that didn't work...  tried forcing it into an <option value=""> tag.. didn't work.  I'm just not sure. 

I've obviously put xx's in place of private info..

Why does this form give me Page Cannot Be Displayed in WordPress every time?  It won't do anything no matter how simple.. using onchange..
