PHP - Read Directories Inside A Directory
i am getting this as a echo, Code: [Select] Directory handle: Resource id #2 Files: . ..why? Code: [Select] <? if ($handle = opendir('images')) { echo "Directory handle: $handle\n"; echo "Files:\n"; /* This is the correct way to loop over the directory. */ while (false !== ($file = readdir($handle))){ if (is_dir($file)){ echo "$file\n"; } } closedir($handle); } ?> Similar TutorialsI have used the following script to correctly display the first file from the array across the selected directory and its sub-directories. Does anyone know how to modify this code to only echo the most recent file based on filemtime across the directory/subdirectories? Code: [Select] function ListFiles($dir) { if($dh = opendir($dir)) { $files = Array(); $inner_files = Array(); while($file = readdir($dh)) { if($file != "." && $file != ".." && $file[0] != '.') { if(is_dir($dir . "/" . $file)) { $inner_files = ListFiles($dir . "/" . $file); if(is_array($inner_files)) $files = array_merge($files, $inner_files); } else { array_push($files, $dir . "/" . $file); } } } closedir($dh); return $files; } } echo array_shift(ListFiles('media/media/images')); I must be brain dead...I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find a snippet for this. I'm just looking for some code to show a directory listing, but only certain files (by extension) and I don't want to show any sub-directories. I thought I might have been able to do this in the .htaccess file, but I can't find anything that will get rid of the sub-directories. So, I figure there must be a way to get a file listing, check the extension, add it to the page, or skip it if it's a sub-directory or doesn't match the extension. Or, I could just be totally, way off...anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated...I'm fairly new to php. Hello I have a problem. I have been trying to copy my music folders structure but not copying the mp3s; instead using the file names as a file name for a .txt file and inserting the URL to the file in the .txt file. Eg. E:\My Music folder 1 folder 1.1 file.mp3 folder 2 folder 3 to G:\My Music folder 1 folder 1.1 file.txt folder 2 folder 3 and inside "file.txt" would be one line saying "http://www.xxx.com/my_music/file.mp3 how to read all files in folder and save their name in databas .. i want that in a input field i give folder name that that read all files in that folder and return their complete name with extention and that i can save each name separate in database Here's my directory read code.. $dir = "renamed/"; $fileCount = 0; // Open the directory, and proceed to read its contents if (is_dir($dir)) { if ($dh = opendir($dir)) { while (false !== ($file = readdir($dh))) { $fileCount++; echo $file . "<BR>"; } closedir($dh); } } That part works 99%, for some reason the echo $file . "<BR>"; part echos two weird things. A singe dot and two dots as displayed below. Hi, I need to read files from a web directory. I have tested the "opendir" function but it doesn't work. <?php if ($handle = opendir('http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLiteCity_CSV')) { echo "Directory handle: $handle\n"; echo "Files:\n"; /* This is the correct way to loop over the directory. */ while (false !== ($file = readdir($handle))) { echo "$file\n"; } /* This is the WRONG way to loop over the directory. */ while ($file = readdir($handle)) { echo "$file\n"; } closedir($handle); } ?> How can I read files from a directory like this? Best Regards, Hello,
I try to get website speed of some website, but i can read only ''domain.com'' i can't read website files like css , js ... why ? i use proxies for this job.
here is the php code:
$options = array( 'useragent' => "Firefox (+http://www.firefox.org)", // who am i 'connecttimeout' => 120, // timeout on connect 'timeout' => 120, // timeout on response 'redirect' => 10, // stop after 10 redirects 'referer' => "http://www.google.com", 'proxyhost' =>'85.25.8.14:80' ); $response = http_get("http://solve-ict.com/wp-content/themes/ict%20theme/js/jquery-1.7.1.min.js", $options , $info);but it works fine with http://domain.com/ , but with files css or js it gives 404, using some free proxy servers available ? Thanks. Hi guys, I've been working on a script for a while now, and I'm sure it doesn't look great and all, and it's probably really messed up.. But right now I've finally got it working! There's only 1 thing I'd really like to add.. Searching through & listing of remote directories! The directories I'm trying to list have directory listings enabled, and I think it *should* be possible. I just have no clue how. Here's my current code in a beautiful mix of HTML and PHP: <? $border_size = "0"; function returner($what) { $what=explode("/",$what); $tps=count($what); $what=$what[$tps-1]; return $what; } $page_url= ""; $home_url=returner(__FILE__); if(isset($_GET['q'])) { $qtext=$_GET['q']; } else { $qtext=""; } function getdirsize($directory, $format=FALSE) { $size = 0; if(substr($directory,-1) == '/') { $directory = substr($directory,0,-1); } if(!file_exists($directory) || !is_dir($directory) || !is_readable($directory)) { return -1; } if($handle = opendir($directory)) { while(($file = readdir($handle)) !== false) { $path = $directory.'/'.$file; if($file != '.' && $file != '..') { if(is_file($path)) { $size += filesize($path); } elseif(is_dir($path)) { $handlesize = getdirsize($path); if($handlesize >= 0) { $size += $handlesize; } else { return -1; } } } } closedir($handle); } if($format == TRUE) { if($size / 1048576 > 1) { return round($size / 1048576, 1).' Thanks in advance. Edit; It might help if you know what the site currently looks like. *Click* Trying to get this done: Page_1 has many external links, when certain links are clicked i do not want user to go directly to page, but rather go to a special add page_2 where user must click a second time on the link to finally get there. The add page_2 must show on screen the name of the initial link from page_1, it must change accordingly with the link it came from page_1,once on page_2 the hyperlink redirects outside the site. So far i am thinking give an id to the div or "<a href..." on page_1 then somehow have page_2 detect that id and fill in the variable for the final external link. Other wise is there a way to detect a url from incoming? I guess a similar example is how some domain name sellers landing page will indicate the name of the site. Such as "Thisdomain.com" is for sale. same landing page but the name changes according to the domain that was typed. i have made an delete files script which works for only one directory but not sub directory so i want to delete files of same extention from directory and subdirectory. My current code is Code: [Select] <? $dir = 'hmm/'; function scanr($dir){ $arr = glob($dir.'/*.jpg'); foreach($arr as $vv){ //check if $vv is a file if(is_file($vv)){ //if file, get the filename $vx=explode('/',$vv); $file=$vx[count($vx)-1]; // if no extension delete the file unlink($vv); // print the deletion message echo $vv." deleted!<br>";}else{ // if $vv is a dir then scan it again for files scanr($vv); }} } scanr($dir); ?> I am using the following code: Code: [Select] <?php $target = "images/"; $target = $target . basename( $_FILES['uploaded']['name']) ; $ok=1; if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploaded']['tmp_name'], $target)) { echo "The file ". basename( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['name']). " has been uploaded"; } else { echo "Sorry, there was a problem uploading your file."; } ?> I am using this to upload photos to the directory called 'images'. How could I change this code so that I can choose an existing directory to upload it to and also create a new directory to upload it to if I wanted? Hey guys does anyone know of a good dynamic directory solution? What i mean by this is when i am creating an application and i use require_once 'includes/config.php'; and then i create a class that needs the config file so i include it into the class like so: require_once '../include/config.php'; then i make a new folder named member then i have to require this class (created above) and it fails to find the directory. What would be a good solution for this? Thanks guys!! So I have a simple template that I want to be the index page of the website that I'm working on, however, I don't want to have to create several almost identical files for each of the directories.
Is there perhaps anyway that I can change the content of the main div yet the address be a different directory.
So for example, this is the main index page:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <head> <title>Matthew Noskiw's website - Home</title> <link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='./inc/CSS/styles/default.css' /> <link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='./inc/CSS/static/navigation.css' /> </head> <body> <div id='Container'> <div id='Header'> <div class='right'> <ul id='Navigation'> <li id='NavButton' class='active'><a href='./'>Home</a></li> <li id='NavButton'><a href='./about'>About</a></li> <li id='NavButton'><a href='./blog'>Blog</a></li> <li id='NavButton'><a href='./contact'>Contact</a></li> </ul> </div> <span>noskiw.co.uk</span> </div> <hr /> <div id='MainContent'> <h2>Home</h2> <br /> <span> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. What I want to happen is that when I change the page, for example, go to /about I want it to read <h2>About</h2>. I have 4 different pages for this so far, is there any way to get it down to just one yet they be in different directories? P.S The reason this is in the PHP Help section is because I assumed that it would more than likely be something to do with PHP. Edited by ghostrider1337, 02 August 2014 - 02:36 PM. First I have a huge list of movies that I would like sorted in a drop down list alphabetically. I already have the drop down list made and the movies show up correctly. But I cannot figure out how to sort the list. Here is the code <?php $dir="/backup/Movies"; if ($handle = opendir($dir)) { while (false !== ($file = readdir($handle))) { if ($file != "." && $file != ".." && $file != "index.php") { $thelist .= '<option>'.$file.'</option>'; } } closedir($handle); } ?> <form action="listen.php" method="post" name="table"> <select name="Movie"> <P><?=$thelist?></p>' </select> </form> Second problem is inside this directory there are a few other directories is it possible to make the directories show at the top instead of them being sorted alphabetically with the movies. Thanks in advance Jake i need to convert the following path Code: [Select] $url=http://www.test.com/images/1/7/4/7/9/thumb.jpg to Code: [Select] $updated_url= /home/vhosts/test.com/httpdocs/images/1/7/4/7/9/thumb.jpgThe directories in the url are created dynamically Right now what i am doin is Code: [Select] $updated_url='/home/vhosts/'.$url.'/httpdocs/images/'.basename($url)which gives me /home/vhosts/test.com/httpdocs/images/thumb. But I also need to get the directories 1/7/4/7/9. It may be differ for different urls. Can this be done through some form of string replacement or pattern matching method? |
