PHP - How To Write Php Code?

this is an array returned after parsing YAMl file using spyc api.
i want to write a code to to extract value related to key topic name and put in a separate 1d array say $topicnames

i tried using simple for loop but not working..
pl help me out.   

I have a small project. I have a control board that is connected to the parallel port.

It controls 8 strips of LED on the LPT1 port.

I can turn these on and off via the command prompt, using LPTOUT.exe   ie lptout 1  turns on the 1st LED

lptout 2  will turn off 1st LED and turn on 2nd,  lptout 4 turns on 3rd and 2nd off, etc
 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128.     and combinations ie lptout 3  turns on LEDS 1 and 2, and so on.

However lptout seems very unresponsive sometimes I have to do lptout 1  twice before LED 1 turns on.

Is there another command I can use to write to LPT1 port.

I need some PHP code to control the outputs.

I want to sequence the outputs ie  1on (1second) 2on (1 second) 3 on (1 second) 4 on  etc. to 8, then all off then repeat.

Can anyone help me.

I am a complete newbie. I have installed xampp. I created a database and the tables but that is all. I need to create all my relationships and test my database. to do this, do I now need to write the php code to view the results in a browser or... do I do it in MySQL. If so, Can someone just point me in the direction I need to go for my next step.   Thanks

I am trying to make a loop simply write "static" code...if that is the correct explanation....  But it seems PHP wants to "process" such things as 'IF' and other Conditions which is defeating the purpose.

The problem specifically is that I NEED for a dynamic write to happen based on a variable  that will put the following lines

I would very much appreciate knowing how to make the code keep looping whatever $meta_key names turn up on this page and then use those names to write the complete lines as STATIC PHP so that the IF conditions don't get "processed" while this function is called.

In effect, I want to duplicate the effect of having the code lines WRITTEN, so that they perform exactly as if I had written them as PHP hard-code, as many lines as there will be $meta_keys, but not SEE the code--- just have it valid PHP.  This function does NOT make the same thing happen internally.  As soon as I replace the function with the HARD CODE PHP then it works...but, I have reached the stage where these lines of code have to happen dynamically.

I am baffled how to get this to happen!  If I use Echo then I get errors about the "IF".

I have a form that users input user name, password, and email... all writes to csv fine.  My problem is I need to concatenate a a string with a variable and some html code will preserving the html when written to the csv..

I need the csv to be this

username,password,email,user,category,text with http://sub.domain..com/splash/,something,something

This code works but it just seems a bit tedious. I may also include up to 20 images to check if they exist. Better way to do this?

i wanna php code that makes me able to write some text to this text file (file.txt) then save it as zipped file to be (zipped.zip)

Hi, I have a form on my homepage which on submit sends the data to my email.  I need to know if it it possible to include in the form a read only field containing the refererid in the URL

(for instance, if someone were to have visited my homepage by entering; http://www.mypage.com/?refererid=7777, could I capture that 7777 in one of the form fields so that when the form is submitted I recieve the refererid?)

Hi,   sorry if there already is a topic regarding my question.. I probably didn't find the right words to describe it properly.. would appreciate a link if anybody knows   I'm making a search form for an archive and my problem is that the labeling says e.g. "1400-3500 A-C".. Now i don't want to make thousands of entrys for 1 file.. How do i find that one file while searching for a number in between, like "1420" or "B"?   Thanks in advance!   Greetings localhobo

how can i find reference to  something like this "navigationID=3" or "navigationID=44" within a string and then re write it to become something like this "/en/content/3/Link_Name"?

there could be more than one reference within the string and the integer val (ie 3 and or 44) will not be known.

I am trying to create a query that selects results from a table called matches.  The results from this table must be based on whether or not there are results from another table called match_results.  The results from the match_results table must be based on whether or not the row has either a home_id equal to the current team id, or a visitor_id equal to the current team id.  If the current team id is equal to the home_id of the result from the match_results table, then the home_score must be greater than the visitor_score.  If the current team id is equal to the visitor_id of the result from the match_results table, then the visitor_score must be greater than the home_score. 

In short, I am trying to make a query that finds a team's match record(wins and losses).  If the result from the matches table doesn't have any results from the match_results table with the same match id, then it hasn't been played it.  I hope this makes sense.  Is there any way to do this in one single query?
