PHP - Trouble With Very Simple Program :(

I'm trying to modify my existing comment form to only allow users to post comments.  Right now anyone can visit the site and comment.

When a user is logged in, I still get the "you must log in error"  Help please.

First time poster, and very amateur php coder.  I am trying to delete items that in a list using ajax.  I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So this code compares (or it should) the name entered by the user in the form to the list of names already in database. If the user enters a name in the form that is in the database I get and "ERROR" as I should. But is they enter a name that is not in the database I am not getting "rest of the code."

I need to include a exe program in a website. The only file of this program is the .exe file. It has a couple of textboxes, and when you insert values in these boxes and submit it gives an text output in the same window.

Is there a way in php that I can take in values from an html form and insert it into this programs form?
And then how can I read its output using php? Or is there another web-based language that I should rather use?

I stumbled across this site after being slammed hard elsewhere for being a novice and really not knowing what I am doing.  What I have read so far is more encouraging.  I just wrote my first program in php and it is not working at all right now.  All it keeps doing is opening window after window until I force the browser to close.  I am using a Mac running Yosemite and using MAMP.  Hopefully that is enough background.    I know this is an introduction area, so I will also post this in another forum in case this is closed for being off topic.   This is a login file to connect to the server:

HI,   I am a beginner at programing and I have to do this project where it is asking me to valid ISBN 10 and 13 using MySQL database to store the information. I checked my php code to validate ISBN 10 and 13 and it works, but when I try to store the data to MySQL it is not working. When I click show ISBN nothing happens and I am not shore why!   This is how  I have my table setup in MySQL Manually by clicking table and create table:   Columns: count                 int(11) Al PK ISBN                   varchar(45) isbn_type            varchar(45) TIMESTMP         datetime PK Valid_Invalid       varchar(45)       Can someone please tell me why when I click Show ISBN in the input page the first code pasted  I get nothing! I'd like to put a password requirement in this program & an expiration date (database record)so that at 11 months I output an alert and at the end of one year it shuts down. ?

I'm not a PHP master, now i'd like to program an online calculator on my website.
it's not the classical calculator with + / - / x / ln etc... but a specific, simple though, calculator.
I'd like even to be able to export the results of the calculations into a xls or csv file (that would be the next step)

Is that possible to do that with PHP ? or i should look more at javascript or java (dont like that idea) or flash etc...

I am trying to download a video file which has a wmv. The protocol is either mms:// or http://

I can see the video in my browser but I cannot download it using curl or wget in a program and I need to download a few of these.
