PHP - Creating Variables From Multile Rows In Table
ok, I'm not sure I know how to ask this question, but I've created a table that allows the user to add rows. The problem is, upon submit only the last row creates variables. How can I make sure every cell in every row sets a different variable?

I need to assign each row to a different variable so that I can then display them in different locations on a page. I cannot make each row of data a different field because of other constraints. My data is very well normalized. I am using mysqli so something like the old mysql_result would be lovely! How can this be done without hitting my database 20 times? Thanks for the help. Hi all, I have a database which contains customer details. We have a php script which pulls the records from the database and puts them into a table on the page. Currently, it fetches all the customer records. This wasn't such a problem when there was only a few customers in the db but this is a bit higher now! Is there any way I can modify the script to only show 20 per page and add links to page 2 etc along the bottom, which can be clicked to show the next 20 and so on? I can echo out the 1st variable correctly, but as soon as I add the second I just get Code: [Select] allow-nether= level-name= The variables $nether and $lname exist and I have echo'd them to check. I have a table in a MySQL database where I keep a list of user privileges. I am trying to create variables where the name of variable matches the privileges in the table.
This is also known as variable variables (I think).
EDIT (17/07/2014 04:02 PM): This might be a better way to describe what I'd like, so if the value from the table is admin_panel I'd like to dynamically create a variable with that name.
I have created a code so far, but all I seem to be getting is a list of Notice errors telling me that the variable is undefined. (I have supplied a list of errors a bit further down the post).

For example I normally do something like this.

Then when I use it in my HTML I would call the variable like so.
$tData .= "<div style='{$tableWrapper}'>\n";
But for something like this
$ul.alertLegend liWouldn't work because of the period. Is this possible to do? I really need to be able to do this since the color that will be included in the class is being pulled from an array depending on a certain value. I am now updating the site so that it takes all information from a database (for easier update). On my test page (at bottom) I have recreated the fixtures table using my db: http://www.cfrclunj.co.uk/db_test.php What I am wondering is if there is any way to get the grey monthly separater row into my table. Could this be done by inserting a row of data into the db table that uses an if statement to change it's appearance? Or could I somehow use MYSQL/PHP to make it put a row in for each separate month? I've been working on this bit of code for weeks now. I've written numerous versions and made endless revisions; trying pieces from many similiar source and well, it's still not quite working out for me. The form I've been trying to finish will have multiple rows. The user will input values specific to each row, but I'm trying to make it so that each row is synonymous with each other in regard to the database table. Like an order form, an inventory form, or a roster. I'd really like to make this code work out because I can think of numerous applications for it's use. I'm sure others could use it for even more. So, as you see; the html code represents the table that contains the form. Currently, I only have five of these rows in the form, but would like for anybody using the code to be able to add in code for as many rows in the table as needed. My problem arises when there are an odd number of rows in the first table. This results in the first row of the second table being coloured white, not blue. I would like the first row of each table to be blue. Is there a simple way to reset the counter for each table? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks. |
