PHP - Way To Get Url Of Page Requested From.
I want to make an image that will get the url that the php image was requested from...
I read the manual for the _SERVER superglobal, but I am still not clear on which element will do that. Thanks. Similar TutorialsThe attached code works but I have one issue. When I type in a date for the fields "Submitted to Office" or "Submitted to Supervisor" in the format 2011-05-05 & then click the submit button, it gets entered into my MySQL databse correctly. My question is, is there any way to edit this code so the user will get a pop up box if the enter a date other than in the format YYYY-MM-DD? Basically, I want them to enter it as YYYY-MM-DD so it will update the MySQl database like it is supposed to. Code: [Select] <b> <p> <i> To go to the main page <a href="http://tnep-g-psrflow/flow/index.html">click here</a>.</p> </i> <?php # edit_dqa.php $page_title = 'Edit a Record'; $con = mysql_connect("localhost","username","password"); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("psrflow", $con); ini_set('display_errors',1); error_reporting(E_ALL); if ( (isset($_GET['id'])) && (is_numeric($_GET['id'])) ) { $id = $_GET['id']; } elseif ( (isset($_POST['id'])) && (is_numeric($_POST['id'])) ) { $id = $_POST['id']; } else { // No valid ID, kill the script. echo '<h1 id="mainhead">Page Error</h1> <p class="error">This page has been accessed in error.</p><p><br /><br /></p>'; include ('./includes/footer.html'); exit(); } if (isset($_POST['submitted'])) { $errors = array(); if (empty($_POST['pacts'])) { $errors[] = 'You forgot to enter your PACTS number. I need to be able, when a user clicks the submit button in this code, the data is updated in the mysql database, and sends that data to an email address based off of the location. At this time I just have first name, lastname, and location in there. So if a user chose office1 the data would go to office1@mail.com. Everything works except the email part. I thought I had it earlier but was wrong. Can someone please assist? Thanks Code: [Select] <?php # edit_dqa.php $page_title = 'Edit a Record'; $con = mysql_connect("localhost","uname","password"); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("psrflow", $con); if ( (isset($_GET['id'])) && (is_numeric($_GET['id'])) ) { // Accessed through view_users.php $id = $_GET['id']; } elseif ( (isset($_POST['id'])) && (is_numeric($_POST['id'])) ) { // Form has been submitted. $id = $_POST['id']; } else { // No valid ID, kill the script. echo '<h1 id="mainhead">Page Error</h1> <p class="error">This page has been accessed in error.</p><p><br /><br /></p>'; include ('./includes/footer.html'); exit(); } $query = "UPDATE psrinfo SET fname='$fn', lname='$ln', location='$loc' WHERE fid=$id"; $result = @mysql_query ($query); // Run the query. // Send mail according to location switch($_REQUEST['location']) { case "office1": $email = "myemail@yahoo.com"; break; default: echo "Error, no location selected!!!"; break; } $Message = "<p>An employee has edited the information below.</p><br> Location : {$_REQUEST['location']}<br>First Name : {$_REQUEST['fname']}<br>Last Name : {$_REQUEST['lname']}"; $Headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\n"; $Headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\n"; $Subject = "Please Review"; $Headers .= "To: DQA <$EmailAddress>\n"; $Headers .= "From: The Database <sender email>\n"; $SendMail = mail($EmailAddress, $Subject, $Message, $Headers); if (mail($EmailAddress, $Subject, $Message, $Headers)) { echo "<center>An email has been sent for editing"; } else { echo "This system is not working properly. Below Is the code I am using and the Link to the Tutorial:

Working on a site with a couple hundred virtually identical landing pages to maximize SEO. Rather than hard code the pages, I am wondering if there is a way to have one page that handles all the url's and dynamically codes and loads with title, keywords, content & alt tags all specific to the particular url requested. Seems like the challenge is doing it in a way that does not constitute a redirect. Is it better to do this in the .htaccess? $to=sammieave@ave.com,samuel@ave.com; $subject = "New Event Logged"; $message = "Test"; $headers = "From: Samuel<sammieave@ave.com>;\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-Type: text/html"; mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers); I am having the above code but unfortunately the error I am getting is: Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local in C:\xampp\htdocs\CRM\support\mailer.php on line 139 Hello! I have the following php code: Code: [Select] <?php // The message $message = "[request("Id_From")]\n [request("ID")]\n [request("CUT")]\n [request("MAKE")]\n [request("CARAT")]\n [request("PRICE_PC")]\n [request("CLARITY")]\n [request("LOCATION")]\n [request("CERTIFICATE")]\n [request("SUP_STOCK_REF")]\n [request("Measurements")]\n [request("Total_Depth")]\n [request("Polish")]\n [request("Table_Width")]\n [request("Symmetry")]\n [request("Crown_Height")]\n [request("Culet")]\n [request("Parillion_Depth")]\n [request("Graining")]\n [request("Girdle")]\n [request("Remarks")]\n [request("TotalPrice")]"; // In case any of our lines are larger than 70 characters, we should use wordwrap() $message = wordwrap($message, 70); // Send mail('gary.impact@gmail.com', 'HIGH PRIORITY DIAMOND ORDER!', $message); ?> where I am trying to send an email to myself which will send me the listed 'requested' values. These values are to the script in the form of: Code: [Select] http://www.somedomain.com/somepage.html?Id_From=123&ID=50250430&CUT=Round&MAKE=VG+-+G++++&CARAT=.5&PRICE_PC=5719&COLOR=D&CLARITY=VVS1&LOCATION=California+%28U.S.A.%29&CERTIFICATE=GIA&SUP_STOCK_REF=3540-6&Measurements=5.03x5.08x3.17&Total_Depth=62.7%25&Polish=V.good&Table_Width=60%25&Symmetry=Good&Crown_Height=&Culet=None&Parillion_Depth=&Graining=&Girdle=&Fluorescence=None&Remarks=&TotalPrice=2860 I am getting the error: Code: [Select] Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING Which starts on the first line of my requested data ("[request("Id_From")]\n). Any help on this would be truely appreciated! Thank you! Quesion: Show each movie in the database on its own page, and give the user links in a "page 1, Page 2, Page 3" - type navigation system. This topic has been moved to HTML Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=323045.0 I am using Magento (Ver 1.9.x) If i try with my localhost success url like, http://192.168.1.65/magento/index.php/checkout/onepage/success/ and return success message with order id. if i try with live, success url like, https://abc.in/payubiz/redirect/success/ success page like blank page. How to solve the issue? Code : https://github.com/ZusZus/Payubiz Edited February 4, 2020 by aveevaI have a page with results from a query that displays that has a link (works fine - passes variables etc) that deletes that line item from a database. It goes to the delete.php and actually executes and removes the item from the database and then has the line header("Location: page.php"); which returns BACK to the page displaying the results. However, it shows the old results until I hit Refresh in the browser. Its like the header is redirecting to a cached version of the page.
NOTE: This script used to work fine untouched when we where on a shared hosting account. We JUST updates to VPS hosting by the same host. Now this problem has risen and I can't figure out what is wrong. From what I can guess is there is something in php.ini that is either not set, set or set wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi, I am a php newbie, who has a page that relies on some php scripts, and to which I am trying to add a login page written in php. I took the example from he http://www.howtodothings.com/computers-internet/how-to-make-a-login-system-for-your-website Basically it consists of adding: <? require("log.php"); ?> to the top of any page I want to protect, a log.php file which performs the actions of the form, linking to a mySQL database, and a login.php file which contains the form. I have the login working fine, but it breaks one of the PHP scripts on the page that is protected. It is an upload script, called Weaverbox, based on FancyUpload. The uploads which are handled by a file called upload.php, aren't happening. The progress shows that they are being uploaded, but nothing is uploaded, and there is no success message. As soon as I remove the code from the top of the page requiring log.php all works fine again. I think I may have to add some rules/extensions to resolve this conflict, but I don't know how to go about this. Would someone be able to help me get it sorted? Thanks Nick Can someoneplease help, I need to setup an error page like IF Username and Password are wrong then show an error also if there is no username or password in the fields and I just click LOGIN, I get a blank page?! Can someone please help me here or point me to a relevant tutorial? thanks here is my page: http://www.retroandvintage.co.uk/default.php here is my code: Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); include_once("config.php"); $ebits = ini_get('error_reporting'); error_reporting($ebits ^ E_NOTICE); /* Login script: This script does the following: Checks that the user is NOT already logged in - if they are they are redirected to the members page by the 'checkLoggedIn()' function. Checks if the login form has been submitted - if so, the 'login' and 'password' fields are checked to ensure they are of the correct format and length. If there are any problems here an error is added to the $messages array and then the script executes the 'doIndex()' function - this function basically outputs the main 'index' page for this script - ie the login form. If there are no problems with the previous step, the 'login' and 'password' field data is passed to the 'checkPass' function to check that an entry exists in the 'users' table for that login/password pair. If nothing is returned from the 'checkPass()' function, an error is added to the $messages array and the 'doIndex()' function is called as above. If a row of data is returned from the 'users' table, the data is passed to the 'cleanMemberSession()' function - which initializes session variables and logs the user in. The user is then forwarded to the members page. If the form hasn't yet been submitted, then the 'doIndex()' function is called and the login page is displayed. */ // Check user not logged in already: checkLoggedIn("no"); // Page title: $title="Member Login Page"; // if $submit variable set, login info submitted: if(isset($_POST["submit"])) { // // Check fields were filled in // // login must be between 4 and 15 chars containing alphanumeric chars only: field_validator("rsUser", $_POST["rsUser"], "alphanumeric", 4, 15); // password must be between 4 and 15 chars - any characters can be used: field_validator("rsPass", $_POST["rsPass"], "string", 4, 15); // if there are $messages, errors were found in validating form data // show the index page (where the messages will be displayed): if($messages){ doIndex(); // note we have to explicity 'exit' from the script, otherwise // the lines below will be processed: exit; } // OK if we got this far the form field data was of the right format; // now check the user/pass pair match those stored in the db: /* If checkPass() is successful (ie the login and password are ok), then $row contains an array of data containing the login name and password of the user. If checkPass() is unsuccessful however, $row will simply contain the value 'false' - and so in that case an error message is stored in the $messages array which will be displayed to the user. */ if( !($row = checkPass($_POST["rsUser"], $_POST["rsPass"])) ) { // login/passwd string not correct, create an error message: $messages[]="Incorrect login/password, try again"; } /* If there are error $messages, errors were found in validating form data above. I would design: Template.php Text links (perhaps on homepage of navigation bar): ProductA, ProductB and ProductC If you click link ProductA Template.php would display data for ProductA and likewise for ProductB and ProductC. I would also like search engines for find ProductA, ProductB and ProductC PHP pages. (Not just my single Template.php) Any ideas as to how this could be done without designing individual PHP pages for each product? Kind regards, Matthew. About a year ago I wrote a mod_rewrite in at sites htaccess file. It was to call a page that queried the database based on a unite code that was assigned to a member. If the member was assigned a code that was FL1001, the URL www.marketingteammates.com/FL1001 would bring up a page that quaried that member and displayed their database content.
In the users table of the site, it quaried the field webPageID and the information was called. It called a page webpage.php that quaried the info. The URL in the address bar still displayed www.marketingteammates.com/FL1001. Here are the lines of code in the htaccess file.
RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^([A-Za-z])([A-Za-z])([0-9]+)$ /webpage.php?webPageID=$1$2$3 [NC,L]I now have a second page completely different from the webpage.php. It is a page storeNumber.php and would query a field storeNumberID. This field could contain any kind of string such as Store#101, or mystore101, or #101 is my store. I tried using the same rewite rule just replaceing the webpage.php and variable with storeNumber.php and $storeNumberID. This doesn't work. It also leads me to wonder if there can even be two different pages in the mod_rewrite. How would it diferentiate one from the other. Thanks for any help in advance. Mike ONE of my SESSION values isn't remaining after login while others do. This works fine on my localhost, it's on the live site that there is a problem and it just started yesterday. Before that it worked great. Out of the four SESSIONs made I can only echo three values on other pages, member id the most important doesn't transfered to other pages Notes: all these files are in the same folder, there is a SESSION started for the member id on the login page, you can see that it is used in the redirect below and the redirect works fine with the redirect going to the correct page " $home/member/index.php?user=$id_mem " Here is the login page // Here's the basic login page info <?php # login.php session_start(); ob_start() ...connect to db & header called... ...Form validation..... if ($e && $p) { // If everything's OK. // Query the database: $q = "SELECT id_mem, display_name, mem_group FROM sn_members WHERE (email='$e' AND password=SHA1('$p')) AND active IS NULL"; $r = mysqli_query ($dbc, $q) or trigger_error("Query: $q\n<br />MySQL Error: " . mysqli_error($dbc)); // or die("Error: ".mysqli_error($dbc)); if (@mysqli_num_rows($r) == 1) { // If a match was made. // Register the values & redirect: // Give SELECTED elements a session $_SESSION = mysqli_fetch_array ($r, MYSQLI_ASSOC); $_SESSION['agent'] = md5($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']); mysqli_free_result($r); // Update db for last login $id_mem = $_SESSION['id_mem']; // <<< SESSION member id has a value here because it's used in the redirect below $ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; // Get ip address of person logging in $q = "UPDATE sn_members SET last_login = Now(), ip = '$ip' WHERE id_mem = '$id_mem' LIMIT 1"; $r = mysqli_query ($dbc, $q) or trigger_error("Query: $q\n<br />MySQL Error: " . mysqli_error($dbc)); header("Location: $home/member/index.php?user=$id_mem"); exit(); // Quit the script. } ?> Here is the main page that a user would be redirect to above <?php // /member/ all member info is through this folder session_start(); ob_start(); if (isset($_GET['user']) && is_numeric($_GET['user'])) { $user = $_GET['user']; $user = $user; if ($user < 0) { header("Location: $home/index.php"); exit(); } } if ((!isset($_SESSION['id_mem'])) && (!isset($_SESSION['agent']) OR ($_SESSION['agent'] != md5($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'])))){ // If not a logged in member redirect header("Location: $home/index.php"); exit(); // Quit the script. } ?> Thanks in advance for the help SJ Hi, I have a, let's call it, Main page, and it refreshes every 5 seconds to check the database... If it finds a result, it kills the refresh function and allows a DIV to call a page into itself via another function on the Main page, which refreshes every second, it's a timer count down clock... The problem is, that if the timer runs down to zero, I have it do a lot of things, but then I need it to either refresh the Main page, redirect the Main page, or close the Main page entirely... Does anyone know how I could perform either 3 of those actions from within the page that's inside of the DIV? i am creating a responsive website.
I'll give you an example.
I am retriving 100 items from mysql database using php. I am only showing 20 items per page using simple pagination with arrows. I keep this format on desktop and tablets. However, I would like to show less items when I am viewing the page on a smartphone. So instead of 20 items per page, it'll show 5 items per page along with the pagination arrows.
I was wondering if this is possible with PHP or would I have to use javascript?
