PHP - Help With Textarea, Syntax Errors In Update
I used to have a straight forward piece of code that updated multiple rows of info using a foreach loop.
However, ever since I've introduced a textarea box into the mix, it's been throwing up syntax errors. Hey all, I have a CRUD php project I am working on. I have insert working reading and deleteing. The only one I have left is update. My page submits the form but when the btn is clicked my page refreshes and does not update in the db. All the controls are cleared. Or something like that... I am not sure how to put this.. Anyway, I'll just get started with explaining my problem. I have an admin-page in which you can delete the comments given on blogs, using checkboxes and clicking on a button with the value 'verwijderenSubmit'. The deletion part works just fine, nothing wrong. However, I also want to be able to EDIT the comments with an other button called 'bewerkenSubmit', using the same checkboxes that I use for deletion. Selecting the right CID (CommentID) is no problem, because that works the same as the deletion-part, but selecting the right textarea to update into the database is the problem... Ok this is puzzleing. I am geting "Could not delete data: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '1' at line 1". but its is deleting the entry that needs to be removed. The "1" is the entry. Just not sure what is causing the error. I do have another delete php but I have put that on the back burning for the time being.

How do I display the actual errors in IIS 7.5? If I miss a semicolon, I get: "HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error" absolutely useless. I created this code to upload a member's main picture on his member page on website. I'll only include the query part of the code since that's what is relevant to my problem. The idea is basically to upload a new picture onto the database if no picture already exists for that member and display the picture on the page. If a picture already exists, then the script replaces the old picture with the new one upon upload. But for whatever reason I don't understand, when I try to replace the old pic, it gets inserted in a new row on the database instead of replacing the old row, and the new pic gets displayed on the web page alongside the old.
