PHP - Csv Files And Dos Ascii Charset
Similar TutorialsHey guys I'm having a bit of a problem trying to convert this string to UTF-8 encoding Quote 組ですが、 中には5- 6本のおす すめ番組の エッセンス が、ぎっし り詰まって います。 I've used $strTem = mb_convert_encoding($strTem, "UTF-8", "auto"); and while that detects the correct current encoding it doesnt change it at all and utf8_encode doesnt work at all, dont know what to use. Thanks I am writing a script to read a mail box and fetch mail body using php function "imap_fetchbody". If mail content encoding is UTF-8 then no problem but mail send from IPAd having ascii encoding and replace the new line with =20 along with many other changes. can anyone help me out with this in converting it to UTF-8 ?? Heres my code: Code: [Select] $string = 'It'; html_entity_decode($string); echo $string; It should be echoing "It", but its just echoing the ASCII codes. Am I using the wrong function? I also tried htmlspecialchars_decode and it changes nothing. Hey there, wondering if anyone knows what this topic will be about okay lets start: I have a search function on my site. Basically I do this: Code: [Select] if $_POST -> redirect ?search=$_POST if $_GET['search'] - > sql_query($search); Of course I am working with functions like mysql_real_escape_string - addslashes - htmlspecialchars , but I have the following problem: when redirecting chars like & % ? ! kill my $_GET var. Which function solves this? My solution: I convert every char in $_POST into an ascii code -> redirect ?search=$ascii_codes convert back into $string and do safe search. Hello everyone, I am trying to see if a term, sent from a form, is in an array that has been pulled from the database. The problem I am having is that while the terms look the same the one from the database is using an Ascii character for a forward slash. & # 047 ; I have tried adding the Ascii to the form value but it just rendered as a forward slash (no surprises there I suppose) So the main reason for asking is that for all the other items in the form I can use in_array. This keeps things really tidy and easy to use. Any ideas how I can still use in_array and get around the Ascii problem? Cheers Ian I have the following code: Code: [Select] $str = ($stringcontents[$step+38]); $str1 = ord($str); $bgcolor = convertchar($str1); ?> <td bgcolor='<?php echo $bgcolor;?>'> <span title='<?php echo $fieldname;?>' style='color: <?php echo $fgcolor;?>; font-size: 12pt'><font color="<?php echo $fgcolor;?>"><?php echo $stringcontents[$step];?></font></span> the convertchar function takes the ord value of the ASCII chr and sets a variable for bgcolor and fgcolor using HTML color codes. The background sets correctly, but the foreground ASCII chr is always black and does not use the font color code. What do I need to do to get the ASCII chr to change to a color other than black? Added: I am using a default charset: <META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=IBM437"> I guys, i´m seting up a template from themeforest for a customer, and i got to change the charset of the pages, it seems that everything was working, but to my surprise the text inside the h1 tags did not accepted the latin caracters, i`ve tryed everything but they still not changed, can you give me a hand?
Hi How can I make the data in phpmyadmin accept Arabic Language. Now Arabic language shows as question markss ?????????????. Is there anyway to do this via php? I searched online and seen some complex c and c# code which I didn't understand much of. But how do I generate an array with all string combinations based on length and from a charset? E.g. charset = {'a', 'b', 'c'} Length = 2. Then it should generate first all 1-char strings: a b c Then all 2-char strings: aa ab ac ba bb bc ca cb cc And then all added to the same array. I think there's some way of doing it with recursion but to me it's like thinking with a 4th dimension my mind can't grasp this logic! hi i am calling some text from a database with php and echoing it to flash. i have no idea the charset anything is in. all i can see is that calling the text from the database and placing into flash yields in some missing chars, but if echo the called text to the browser, copy it and echo that to flash, all characters appear. now, i kow this is not a flash forum, and im not going to ask for a flash solution because there's just too many different charsets and code i cannot control/ nor see so i was thinking of doing something along the line of having php creating a clone of the copied text that appears in the browser, and having it echo that text to flash. it there something php can do, similar to what i described? regards Hello I have a simple question about file handling... Is it possible to list all files in directories / subdirectories, and then read ALL files in those dirs, and put the content of their file into an array? Like this: array: [SomePath/test.php] = "All In this php file is being read by a new smart function!"; [SomePath/Weird/hello.txt = "Hello world. This is me and im just trying to get some help!";and so on, until no further files exists in that rootdir. All my attempts went totally crazy and none of them works... therefore i need to ask you for help. Do you have any ideas how to do this? If so, how can I be able to do it? Thanks in Advance, pros So far I have managed to create an upload process which uploads a picture, updates the database on file location and then tries to upload the db a 2nd time to update the Thumbnails file location (i tried updating the thumbnails location in one go and for some reason this causes failure) But the main problem is that it doesn't upload some files Here is my upload.php <?php include 'dbconnect.php'; $statusMsg = ''; $Title = $conn -> real_escape_string($_POST['Title']) ; $BodyText = $conn -> real_escape_string($_POST['ThreadBody']) ; // File upload path $targetDir = "upload/"; $fileName = basename($_FILES["file"]["name"]); $targetFilePath = $targetDir . $fileName; $fileType = pathinfo($targetFilePath,PATHINFO_EXTENSION); $Thumbnail = "upload/Thumbnails/'$fileName'"; if(isset($_POST["submit"]) && !empty($_FILES["file"]["name"])){ // Allow certain file formats $allowTypes = array('jpg','png','jpeg','gif','pdf', "webm", "mp4"); if(in_array($fileType, $allowTypes)){ // Upload file to server if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath)){ // Insert image file name into database $insert = $conn->query("INSERT into Threads (Title, ThreadBody, filename) VALUES ('$Title', '$BodyText', '$fileName')"); if($insert){ $statusMsg = "The file ".$fileName. " has been uploaded successfully."; $targetFilePathArg = escapeshellarg($targetFilePath); $output=null; $retval=null; //exec("convert $targetFilePathArg -resize 300x200 ./upload/Thumbnails/'$fileName'", $output, $retval); exec("convert $targetFilePathArg -resize 200x200 $Thumbnail", $output, $retval); echo "REturned with status $retval and output:\n" ; if ($retval == null) { echo "Retval is null\n" ; echo "Thumbnail equals $Thumbnail\n" ; } }else{ $statusMsg = "File upload failed, please try again."; } }else{ $statusMsg = "Sorry, there was an error uploading your file."; } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Sorry, only JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, mp4, webm & PDF files are allowed to upload.'; } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Please select a file to upload.'; } //Update SQL db by setting the thumbnail column to equal $Thumbnail $update = $conn->query("update Threads set thumbnail = '$Thumbnail' where filename = '$fileName'"); if($update){ $statusMsg = "Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly."; echo $statusMsg ; } else { echo "\n Failed to update Thumbnail. Thumbnail equals $Thumbnail" ; } // Display status message echo $statusMsg; ?> And this does work on most files however it is not working on a 9.9mb png file which is named "test.png" I tested on another 3.3 mb gif file and that failed too? For some reason it returns the following Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly.Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly. Whereas on the files it works on it returns REturned with status 0 and output: Retval is null Thumbnail equals upload/Thumbnails/'rainbow-trh-stache.gif' Failed to update Thumbnail. Thumbnail equals upload/Thumbnails/'rainbow-trh-stache.gif'The file rainbow-trh-stache.gif has been uploaded successfully. Any idea on why this is? |
