PHP - Return Mail Address
Hey all, having a very odd problem Ive never encountered.
I am trying to send mails via PHP's built in mail function. I set the From and Reply-To like so: Code: [Select] <?php $headers = "From: noreply@contractortraining.energy.gov\r\n"; $headers .= "Reply-To: noreply@contractortraining.energy.gov\r\n"; Now here is when things get weird. When this email sends the return email gets changed to noreply@doe.golearnportal.org. Oddly enough it only happens when the From is "contractortraining.energy.gov". For example: If I send with these headers the email comes in as doe.golearnportal.org However if I change the headers to be something like "sometest.org" or "nowhere.golearnportal.org" or anything other than "contractortraining.energy.gov" it will come through using the specified headers. It is only when I use "contractortraining.energy.gov" that the headers get changed. Any ideas what could be responsible for this type of behavior? I dont think its a PHP issue at the moment, and this code is working successfully on several other servers. So if someone called bob filled out the form the resulting email would show as; From: bob<default@myserver.com> My client doesn't want to add an email box to use as the from address so is there anyway i can hide my address being included in the email header? thanks Richard I have a function that is supposed to find the email address of the user that's logged in my application. going by their ID:

What I'm trying to do is incorporate that into sending a simple email to the person that's logged in after they submit a file. But the email is not being sent and I'm getting this message:

For some reason it is not sending the emails to the CC or BCC email address event though GMAIL shows it was included in the email. Am I missing something in the below code? It works fine but the customers are adding spaces in the mailing address for example 111 mailing address A V E, 1 1 1 ma iling address A V E etc. and my sql query doesn't see that as an address that's a duplicate.
Their alslo adding email address like my@emailaddress.com and m.y@emailaddress.com, m.y.2@emailaddress.com etc to bypass that comparision also.
Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
