PHP - Help Needed To Fix Script For Import Of Csv File To Mysql
Hi!
I hope somebody can help me what im do wrong. i have checked that the data from the file is in $source_file but nothing imports to the database Code: [Select] <?php include('config.php'); include('opendb.php'); if(isset($_POST['upload'])) { $source_file = @$_POST['userfile']; //$source_file = fopen('http://localhost/test/upload/test.csv', 'r'); $target_table = 'foretag'; function csv_file_to_mysql_table($source_file, $target_table, $max_line_length=10000) { if (($handle = fopen("$source_file", "r")) !== FALSE) { $columns = fgetcsv($handle, $max_line_length, ","); foreach ($columns as $column) { $column = str_replace(".","",$column); } $insert_query_prefix = "INSERT INTO $target_table (".join(",",$columns).")\nVALUES"; while (($data = fgetcsv($handle, $max_line_length, ";")) !== FALSE) { while (count($data)<count($columns)) array_push($data, NULL); $query = "$insert_query_prefix (".join(",",quote_all_array($data)).");"; mysql_query($query); } fclose($handle); } } function quote_all_array($values) { foreach ($values as $key=>$value) if (is_array($value)) $values[$key] = quote_all_array($value); else $values[$key] = quote_all($value); return $values; } function quote_all($value) { if (is_null($value)) return "NULL"; $value = "'" . mysql_real_escape_string($value) . I've searched for many third party scripts but none seem to work. So I've decided to move to the community to see if someone can give me insight on how i might accomplish this script. I have some third party scripts but I'm not sure if they'd be of any use. Thank you kindly I'm importing some text files from my windows servers in to a SQL database, but I'm running in to what I think is some sort of issue with either a special character or something to do with UTF-8, or UTF-16... I haven't dealt with this before, so I'm really not even sure. I read in the file as such: $handler = fopen($file, "r"); $Data = fread($handler, filesize($file)); fclose($handler); The text file itself contains the data formatted like this: Quote Unable to deliver this message because the follow error was encountered: "This message is a delivery status notification that cannot be delivered.". The specific error code was 0xC00402C7. The message sender was <>. The message was intended for the following recipients. OnlineHelp@somedomain.com If I simply echo out this data: echo $Data It'll come out in Firefox like the following. And I can see FF is choosing to view it as Western (ISO-8859-1), but if I choose to use Unicode (UTF-16) then the data displays correctly. Quote Unable to deliver this message because the follow error was encountered: "This message is a delivery status notification that cannot be delivered.".    The specific error code was 0xC00402C7.      The message sender was <>.      The message was intended for the following recipients.   OnlineHelp@EliteRacing.com   And finally, if I try to insert the data in to SQL, the data looks like this: Quote INSERT INTO Badmail VALUES( 2 , '00360053425643112201000000004.BDR' , 'U n a b l e t o d e l i v e r t h i s m e s s a g e b e c a u s e t h e f o l l o w e r r o r w a s e n c o u n t e r e d : " T h i s m e s s a g e i s a d e l i v e r y s t a t u s n o t i f i c a t i o n t h a t c a n n o t b e d e l i v e r e d . I'd appreciate any feedback or suggestions anyone has. Thank you. I've tried to make this as secure as possible by sanitizing and validating the data, but is there anything else I could do to improve it? I'm happy with the way it works so far.
All I can think to add is a meme check via php but I can't find a way to check whether it's specifically a csv file (other than just checking the extension but that's not secure)

I am trying to import a CSV file into a MySQL table, some of the data is interested properly into the rows however some of the CSV row do not get imported.
Here is my PHP script:
<?php $databasehost = "localhost"; $databasename = "name"; $databasetable = "import"; $databaseusername="username"; $databasepassword = "password"; $fieldseparator = ","; $lineseparator = "\n"; $enclosedbyquote = '"'; $csvfile = "db-core/feed/csv/test.csv"; if(!file_exists($csvfile)) { die("File not found. Make sure you specified the correct path."); } try { $pdo = new PDO("mysql:host=$databasehost;dbname=$databasename", $databaseusername, $databasepassword, array( PDO::MYSQL_ATTR_LOCAL_INFILE => true, PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE => PDO::ERRMODE_EXCEPTION ) ); } catch (PDOException $e) { die("database connection failed: ".$e->getMessage()); } $pdo->exec("TRUNCATE TABLE `$databasetable`"); $affectedRows = $pdo->exec(" LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE ".$pdo->quote($csvfile)." REPLACE INTO TABLE `$databasetable` FIELDS OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY ".$pdo->quote($enclosedbyquote)." TERMINATED BY ".$pdo->quote($fieldseparator)." LINES TERMINATED BY ".$pdo->quote($lineseparator)." IGNORE 1 LINES"); echo "Loaded a total of $affectedRows records from this csv file.\n"; ?>As you can see the script is importing the CSV into the table however only 40 of the rows are added to the SQL table when there are actually 80 rows in the CSV. I am also telling the script to IGNORE 1 LINES if that has anything to do with the issue. Here is one of the rows from the CSV file: "AETA83919","AETV34458584","SD57VUP","BLACK","Diesel","2007","76778","Hatchback","3","VAUXHALL","CORSA","1.3 CDTi [90] SXi 3dr [AC]","1200","3989","","Manual","http://images.autoexposure.co.uk/AETA83919/AETV34458584_1b.jpg","0","3","","0","2007 57 reg VAUXHALL CORSA 1.3 CDTi [90] SXi 3dr [AC], Manual, Hatchback, Diesel, 76,778 miles. Hi, I assigned a project where i have to import the mobile numbers from the file, but i have no idea how to proceed this. What kind of file to accept as input and how to read. Thanks Hi.. I have code for importing .xml file to database. the problem is I cannot upload my file but no error display. And also I got a problem in importing data from .xml file to database but not all row will be save. here is my code: Code: [Select] <?php $data = array(); $con = mysql_connect("localhost", "root",""); if (!$con) { die(mysql_error()); } $db = mysql_select_db("mes", $con); if (!$db) { die(mysql_error()); } $sql = "select * from sales_order"; $result = mysql_query($sql); if (!$result) { die(mysql_error()); } function add_employee($ProductType,$WorkOrder,$POIssueDate,$SalesMonth) { global $data; $con = mysql_connect("localhost", "root",""); if (!$con){ die(mysql_error());} $db = mysql_select_db("mes", $con); if (!$db) { die(mysql_error()); } $ProductType= $ProductType; $WorkOrder = $WorkOrder; $POIssueDate = $POIssueDate; $SalesMonth = $SalesMonth; $sql = "INSERT INTO sales_order (ProductType,WorkOrder,POIssueDate,SalesMonth) VALUES ('$ProductType','$WorkOrder','$POIssueDate','$SalesMonth')" or die(mysql_error()); mysql_query($sql, $con); $data []= array('ProductType'=>$ProductType,'WorkOrder'=>$WorkOrder,'POIssueDate'=>$POIssueDate,'SalesMOnth'=>$SalesMonth); } if ( $_FILES['file']['tmp_name'] ['error']) //f (empty($_FILES['file']['tmp_name']['error'])) { //$dom = DOMDocument::load('SalesOrder.xml'); $dom = DOMDocument::load($_FILES['file']['tmp_name']); $dom = DOMDocument::__construct(); $rows = $dom->getElementsByTagName('Row'); global $last_row; $last_row = false; $first_row = true; foreach ($rows as $row) { if ( !$first_row ) { $ProductType = ""; $WorkOrder = ""; $POIssueDate = ""; $SalesMonth = ""; $index = 1; $cells = $row->getElementsByTagName( 'Cell' ); foreach( $cells as $cell ) { $ind = $cell->getAttribute( 'Index' ); if ( $ind != null ) $index = $ind; if ( $index == 1 ) $ProductType = $cell->nodeValue; if ( $index == 2 ) $WorkOrder = $cell->nodeValue; if ( $index == 3 ) $POIssueDate = $cell->nodeValue; if ( $index == 4 ) $SalesMonth = $cell->nodeValue; $index += 1; } if ($ProductType=='' AND $WorkOrder=='' AND $POIssueDate=='' AND $SalesMonth=='') { $last_row = true; } else { add_employee($ProductType,$WorkOrder,$POIssueDate,$SalesMonth); } } if ($last_row==true) { $first_row = true; } else { $first_row = false; } } } ?> <html> <body> <table> <tr> <th>Sales Order</th> </tr> <?php foreach( $data as $row ) { ?> <tr> <td><?php echo( $row['ProductType'] ); ?></td> <td><?php echo( $row['WorkOrder'] ); ?></td> <td><?php echo( $row['POIssueDate']) ;?> </td> <td><?php echo( $row['SalesMonth'] ); ?></td> </tr> <?php } ?> </table> </body> </html> and I will attach my sample data and the data with color yellow background is only row I want to save to my database. Thank you so much.. Hi, I am importing data from a csv file into mysql. Everything works fine except that the 'order_date' column in CSV is in the following format mm/dd/yy. Upon import I would like for that format to be changed to yyyy-mm-dd I am not sure how to modify the following code to be able to do so. Any help would be appreciated. <? include "connect.php"; if(isset($_POST['submit'])) { $filename=$_POST['filename']; $handle = fopen("$filename", "r"); while (($data = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, ",")) !== FALSE) { $date = date("Y-m-d"); $import="INSERT into table (order_id, order_status, order_date, todays_date) values ('$data[0]', '$data[1]', '$data[2]', '$date')"; mysql_query($import) or die(mysql_error()); } fclose($handle); print "Import done"; } else { print "<form action='importnew.php' method='post'>"; print "Type file name to import:<br>"; print "<input type='text' name='filename' size='20'><br>"; print "<input type='submit' name='submit' value='submit'></form>"; } ?> I am working on a csv file import to mysql, which will include items in one table (irrelevant here), and a hierarchical table of categories (id | name | parent). I would think the simplest method to get each category name is too explode the categories from the csv into an array, for example: $array = "root/Business/Employment"; $categories = explode("/", $array); My problem though, is figuring out what the ID's are for each of the categories without knowing each name will be unique and not knowing for sure the full depth of each category hierarchy either. So (I think) I need to rely on the category structure to define the lowest level ID. So something like this: Code: [Select] SELECT t1.parent AS p1, t1.name AS lev1, t1.id AS cat1, t2.name AS lev2, t2.id AS cat2 FROM (categories AS t1) LEFT JOIN categories AS t2 ON t2.parent = t1.id WHERE t1.parent = '1' AND t2.name = "Employment"; This gives me the ID of Employment, but it's easily possible that the name will be duplicated somewhere else in another heirarchy (in fact I get 4 results from phpmyadmin). And since I don't know all these will be only 3 levels deep, it won't work all the time. Any ideas help would be greatly appeciated! |
