PHP - Compare Two Urls (newby To Php)
Hello.
Assuming that I have two variables: $exURL=@$HTTP_REFERER; $goodURL = 'http://www.SomeSite/login/'; How can I check if the two URLs match each other? Regards Similar TutorialsHi all, I am looking a developing a script that instead of using something like mysite.com/showproduct.php?id=1 I would like it to appear as mysite.com/php-editor Is their a simple way of doing this? I would still need to pull info from a database so the page would still need to be dynamic, I just want it to appear static! I am used to using the get id function of php, what would the workaround be? would the id be hidden from the url but still usable in a query? I have had a look at the apache mod_rewrite, but quite frankly, I dont understand it! Cheers Hei, please can anyone help me? I guess it's done with if function - i can be wrong too. :/ I want to get about the same "step by step" stuff.. Look example: http://p6lva.eu/site/realinfo.php I tried by my own, but I failed too much : <?php $nick = $_GET['nick']; $server = $_GET['server']; $teenus = $_GET['teenus']; if (!empty($nick) && $server === null) { echo "<center>Choose server:<br><br>\n <a href='realinfo.php?server=1&nick=$nick' style='text-decoration: none;'><button style='width: 250px; text-align: left;'><center>\n Server 1</center></button></a> </center>"; } else { echo ""; } if (!empty($server) && $teenus === null) { include "service1.php"; } else { echo "show frontpage"; } if (!empty($teenus)) { if ($teenus === vip && $server === 1) { include "vip.php"; } if ($teenus === admin && $server === 1) { include "admin.php"; } } else { echo "You must choose service!!! Or this service doesnt in our database!!!"; } if (isset($nick) || isset($server) || isset($teenus)) { // if not added one of the values - like $server, $nick or $teenus then show frontpage echo ""; } else { include 'frontpage.php'; } ?> HELP Ok so this is what I am looking for and I cannot seem to find any documentation on it! I have some html files which I want to call up by using the following: engine.php?id=? with the questionmark being 1,2,3,4,5,6, etc... where each number is a different HTML page, I just want it to look a little cleaner then if I just have it redirect to each page itself I mean come on what looks better: http://localhost/engine.php?id=1 <------ http://localhost/home.html Any guidance is welcome. Thanks, Drew hmmmm my last post got deleted due to my naughty url:-( Anyway its not spam :-( hear is my real problem. I HAVE this form in a iframe in a drupal site.....I followed many tutorials but it seems fine? It keeps downloading the actual php file instead of posting to my email? form code/////////////// <form action="EnquirySend.php" method="post" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" name="Enquiry_Form" target="_self" id="Enquiry_Form"> <div class="demo"> <div id="Col1"> <p>Date Departing:</p> <p>Date Returning</p> <p>Name<span style="font-size: 16px; "><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); ">*</span></span> : </p> <p>Phone<span style="font-size: 16px; "><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); ">*</span></span> : </p> <p>Email:<span style="font-size: 16px; "><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); ">*</span></span> : </p> <input name="button" type="submit" class="demo" id="button" value="Submit your Enquiry"> </div> <div id="fieldsAline"> <input name="departing_Date" type="text" id="departingDate"></p> <p> <input type="text" id="returnDate"></p> <p> <input maxlength="20" name="name" size="20" style="cursor: default; " type="text" /></p> <p> <input maxlength="20" name="phone" size="20" style="cursor: default; " type="text" /></p> <p> <input maxlength="30" name="email" size="20" style="cursor: default; " type="text" /></p> </div> <p><div id="Col2"> <div id="topCol2"><p>Number Travelling: <span style="font-size: 16px; "><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); ">*</span> <input maxlength="2" name="number" size="3" type="text" value="1" /> PostCode :<input name="postcode" type="text" id="postcode" size="5" maxlength="5"> </p> <p>Can we help you with any extras?</p> <p> <textarea name="extras" id="extras" cols="45" rows="3">Are you interested in 5 star accommodation? </textarea> </p> <p> Which Holiday Package are you interested in <span style="font-size: 16px; "><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); ">*</span></span> ? <br><br> <label> <input type="radio" name="package" value="radio" id="manila"> <span style="color:#0CF">Manila</span></label> <label> <input type="radio" name="package" value="radio" id="manila_boracay"> <span style="color:#0CF">Manila & Boacay</span></label> <br> <label> <input type="radio" name="package" value="radio" id="Manila_angeles"> <span style="color:#0CF">Manila & Angeles</span></label> <label> <input type="radio" name="package" value="radio" id="Manila_Cebu"> <span style="color:#0CF">Manila & Cebu</span></label> <br> <br><br> </p></div></div></div> </form> HERE IS THE RESPONDER PHP FILE CODE/////////// <?php //--------------------------Set these paramaters-------------------------- // Subject of email sent to you. $subject = 'Enquiry_Form '; // Your email address. Basically the site runs pommo mailing list, which has worked fine for years. Recently though the website domain name changed. Since then - or at least at a similar time - pommo has just stopped working completely. It does nothing but outputs blank pages. I've never done any php development so I've no idea where to start in terms of debugging this. I've checked that the files etc all exist on the server: they do. I've uploaded a test html page which works. I've uploaded a test php page containing: <?php phpinfo( ); ?> and it works. But when I visit any page in the pommo application, the browser just renders a totally empty white page - no source HTML at all, just nothing! Can anyone suggest how to debug this? Even an error message would be somewhere to start. Thanks all! Is their something I can do in PHP (like some sort of function/config/array etc...) which would make the following process easier (examples appreciated)... I have an .htaccess file where im rewriting urls to seo friendly ones...now in the PHP script is their something I can place for urls are meant to be displayed/linked (like some sort of placeholder) which makes it easier for me to modify the urls within the PHP script, without constantly editing countless php sourcecode to just change the url? Example scenario: Say I had a php file (called submit.php): <?php echo 'Hey! Thanks for submiting the form, <a href="submit.php?form">click here</a> to go back!'; ?> and my rewrite rule for submit.php?form was: /form How would I easily change the url within submit.php without editing submit.php directly? Hi, I want to compare the tables from 2 mysql databases in a table. This is what I have: for($i=0;$i<$maxCount;$i++) { echo "<tr>"; // start row //fist data square if ($i < count($db1)) echo "<td>{$db1[$i]}</td>"; else echo "<td></td>"; echo "<td></td>"; // middle //last if ($i < count($db2)) echo "<td>{$db2[$i]}</td>"; else echo "<td></td>"; echo "</tr>"; // end row } that will put make a nice table for me to see. What I'd like to do next is have all identical sql tables lined up. So for e.g I have 2 arrays of table names that will look like this: Databse 1 Database 2 table1 table1 table2 table3 table4 table4 does that make sense? Also is there a more elegant way of scripting what I have? Can php be used to get two blog entries and compare them side by side, with a choice one which one to use. A bit like wikipedia has ? Hello, Ive got many URLs like these which im trying to just get the name for example "Ace Lightning" Quote http://www.wupload.com/file/1374721/Ace Lightning # GBA.rar http://www.wupload.com/file/1374722/Action Man - Robotatak # GBA.rar http://www.wupload.com/file/1374726/Activision Anthology # GBA.rar http://www.wupload.com/file/1374761/Advance Guardian Heroes # GBA.rar http://www.wupload.com/file/1374764/Agassi Tennis Generation # GBA.rar This is my code Code: [Select] <?php if($_POST['newlinks']) { $newlinks = $_POST["newlinks"]; $newlinks = preg_split("/.rar/", $newlinks); foreach ($newlinks as $newlink) { $r_name = substr("$newlink", 36, 100); echo "<strong>Game Name: $r_name</strong> <br />"; } } echo "<form method=\"POST\" action=\"index.php?page=mass-gba\">"; echo "<br /> <strong>Mass Add GBA ROMs</strong> <br />"; echo "<textarea rows=\"16\" name=\"newlinks\" cols=\"84\"></textarea>"; echo "<input type=\"submit\" value=\"Mass Add GBA Links\" name=\"B1\">"; echo "</form>"; ?> This results are like this, I cant understand why it works for the first game but not the second or any after that. Quote True Name: Ace Lightning # GBA True Name: 2/Action Man - Robotatak # GBA True Name: 6/Activision Anthology # GBA True Name: 1/Advance Guardian Heroes # GBA True Name: 4/Agassi Tennis Generation # GBA Not sure if there is a better way to do this, but I want to check whether the value in a Sticky Field is the same as what is in the Database. If what is in the Sticky Field is *exactly* what is in the Database, then the User didn't update that field, and so I would NOT do an UPDATE. Seem reasonable? Here is where I grab the value out of the Form... Code: [Select] // **************************** // Process Each Form Field. * // **************************** foreach($_POST['answerArray'] as $questionID => $response){ // Copy trimmed Form array to PHP array. $answerArray[$questionID] = trim($response); And here is where I grab the existing value in the Database... Code: [Select] // ******************** // Check for Answer. * // ******************** // Build query. $q1 = "SELECT response FROM bio_answer WHERE member_id=? AND question_id=?"; // Prepare statement. $stmt1 = mysqli_prepare($dbc, $q1); // Bind variable to query. mysqli_stmt_bind_param($stmt1, 'ii', $memberID, $questionID); // Execute query. mysqli_stmt_execute($stmt1); // Store results. mysqli_stmt_store_result($stmt1); // Check # of Records Returned. if (mysqli_stmt_num_rows($stmt1)==1){ // Answer Found. // Bind result-set to variable. mysqli_stmt_bind_result($stmt1, $currResponse); // Fetch record. mysqli_stmt_fetch($stmt1); So I guess I want to compare $answerArray[$questionID] against $currResponse and see if there are any differences?! What is the best way to do that? Any better ideas of how to check to see if the User made any changes to a field so I only do an UPDATE if there was actually a change? Thanks, Debbie Say my URL is http://www.example.com/catalog.php?category=hats&prodID=53 and I use Mod-rewrite to make it http://www.example.com/catalog/hats/53/ Can I still use $_GET['category'] to get the parameters? If so, how? I thought I was able to determine which DateInterval is greater the same as done with DateTime, however, either this is not true or I am doing something wrong. Please advise. Thanks! private function compareDateInterval(\DateInterval $dateInterval1, \DateInterval $dateInterval2):bool { $greaterThan = $dateInterval1 > $dateInterval2?'true':'false'; echo("test1: dateInterval1 > dateInterval2: $greaterThan\n"); $dateTimeNow = new \DateTimeImmutable; $dateTime1 = $dateTimeNow->add($dateInterval1); $dateTime2 = $dateTimeNow->add($dateInterval2); $greaterThan = $dateTime1 > $dateTime2?'true':'false'; echo("test2: dateTime1 > dateTime2: $greaterThan\n"); $timestampNow = $dateTimeNow->getTimestamp(); $timestamp1 = $dateTime1->getTimestamp(); $timestamp2 = $dateTime2->getTimestamp(); $greaterThan = $timestamp1 > $timestamp2?'true':'false'; echo("test3: timestamp1 > timestamp2: $greaterThan\n"); echo('$dateTimeNow => '.json_encode($dateTimeNow).PHP_EOL); echo('$dateInterval1 => '.json_encode($dateInterval1).PHP_EOL); echo('$dateInterval2 => '.json_encode($dateInterval2).PHP_EOL); echo("timestampNow: $timestampNow, timestamp1: $timestamp1, timestamp2: $timestamp2\n"); } <b>Warning</b>: Cannot compare DateInterval objects in <b>/var/www/app/src/Tools/PointTransitionHistory.php</b> on line <b>136</b><br /> test1: dateInterval1 > dateInterval2: false test2: dateTime1 > dateTime2: true test3: timestamp1 > timestamp2: true $dateTimeNow => {"date":"2020-08-23 15:06:24.454702","timezone_type":3,"timezone":"UTC"} $dateInterval1 => {"y":0,"m":0,"d":2,"h":14,"i":0,"s":0,"f":0,"weekday":0,"weekday_behavior":0,"first_last_day_of":0,"invert":1,"days":2,"special_type":0,"special_amount":0,"have_weekday_relative":0,"have_special_relative":0} $dateInterval2 => {"y":0,"m":0,"d":11,"h":15,"i":0,"s":0,"f":0,"weekday":0,"weekday_behavior":0,"first_last_day_of":0,"invert":1,"days":11,"special_type":0,"special_amount":0,"have_weekday_relative":0,"have_special_relative":0} timestampNow: 1598195184, timestamp1: 1597971984, timestamp2: 1597190784
I have this code that compares date times but im not sure if its correct. if("2008-08-10 00:00:00.0" > strtotime("now")) { echo "here"; } The code echo's here, but it shouldn't because the time is less than the current time. Any ideas? I know the forum is supposed to be used to help with any code I have come up with but here's to taking a shot anyway: I am in need of creating a php script that will allow me to input two different XML files and upon pressing "go" will compare these two files and save only the differences to a new xml file. Thing is, I have no idea where to start. Are there any php functions that exist that I can use to do this? If not, cn someone help me create one? Would this be better handled in javascript? If so, how can I do so using a method similar to the above? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Okay, i know there are lots of these questions out there and tons of ways to do this. I do have it working to replace URLs with <a href="URLs">URLs</a> but now i need some help detecting <a href=""></a> so the preg_replace will not double up the code and mess up the link. here is my code so far. Code: [Select] <?php echo 'COMMENTS<br /><br />'; while($rows = mysql_fetch_array($comres)){ list($comid, $menu_title, $post_id, $comdate, $comname, $comment) = $rows; $comment = nl2br($comment); $comment = preg_replace('/(http|https|ftp|ftps)\:\/\/[a-zA-Z0-9\-\.]+\.[a-zA-Z]{2,3}(\/\S*)?/', '<a href="$0" target="_new">$0</a>', $comment); $comment = str_replace("´", "'", $comment); $comdate = date("g:ia - M j, Y",strtotime("$comdate")); echo 'User: '.$comname.'<font color="#B20303"> - '.$comdate.'</font><br />'; echo ' - '.$comment.'<br /><br />'; } ?> so with this code, if someone commented a link like this http://example.com it will turn it this <a href="http://example.com" target="_new">http://example.com</a> but now if someone knew some basic HTML coding, and they used this <a href="http://example.com">Example.com</a> it will look like this... <a href=<a href="http://example.com" target="_new">http://example.com</a>>Example.com</a> I would love to google my question, but I don't know how this is called.... I want to create URLs for each user of a site with this format: www.mysite.com/user1 Facebook does this, for example. In a static page I'd do it with a folder and index file for each user, but that's not practical if you have too many users. Could you explain how this is done or at least how it is called so I can find myself something to read? Thanks!!! I run an article directory. I was wondering how I could check an article that is currently pending review against published articles in our database. What I am looking to do is to place the content of the body in the pending article into a variable. That much is easy and I know how to do that. Then I would like to use that variable to compare against other content in our database and have it output a percentage of how close it is to any other article already published in our database. Any direction our guidance with this would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks! how to compare date with current date let say $date="2010-10-08 2:00 PM" how can i compare $date with current date and get the result in days, hours, minutes and seconds thanks Hi everyone! I've been looking for a solution, but i just can't find it anywhere... Ok, so the problem is: i have a database which looks something like this: user_id product_id score 14 . 235 . 79 23 . 235 . 32 53 . 665 . 21 14 . 235 . 90 5 . 675 . 45 This is step-by-step of what i need to do: 1. Select user - user_id =343 2. For user_id =343 select all products that he gave score to: product_id = 43 - score = 99 product_id = 12 - score = 56 product_id = 68 - score = 32 product_id = 124 - score = 67 3. Find all users that voted for the same products e.g.: for product_id = 43: user_id = 125 voted 93 points, user_id = 23 voted 56 points. 4. Calculate the difference between the score of user, so: for product_id = 43: user_id = 125 voted 93 points (99 - 93 =6 points of diff.) user_id = 23 voted 56 points (99 - 56 =43 points of diff.) return the results.... That's basically what i need to do. I still don't know the number of the users, or product, but it doesn't really matter - i just need to make it work. Ok, hope someone can help! Can someone help me to generate SEO friendly URLs? I dont want my URLs to be presented like: www.example.com/listprod.php?categ=1&subcateg=7 I want it to dynamically do the following: www.example.com/listprod/cameras/slr |
