HI, i have a problem, a big one. I used a php script to send some info from my html forms to my gmail. So it functions easy, somebody fills out the form and he click send, after that, his information is sent to me on my gmail, and i can work with it later. Now stupid google have some new filters (from year 2014 ) and it treats some of those mails as spam. Code is written in the way that allows me to get those mails as it is sent from the user himself, from his email. Can anybody correct my script so it won't be treated as a spam, because i know it is possible but don't know how... here is the code - https://gist.github....67145d500c5cf47 // Receiving variables Hello all, I used simple php email function but it send an email in junk folder or spam. Hi I'm not a coder so don't know how to write this myself. I'm very much of the copy and paste type. Basically I want a file to be downloaded and an email sent when either a link is clicked or a submit button is pressed. This is so that when a particular file hosted on my site (a pdf) is downloaded I am alerted to this by an email notification. Can anyone help me out with this? I assume that this can be done with PHP and MySQL but am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help Stephen i have some code which sends a confrim link via the posted email. In hotmail it works fine, once the link is clicked they are confirmed but gmail adds %09 to the link making it break. example WHERE hash = their email hashed posted email = test@test.com confirm link(hotmail) confirm.php?email=HASH&o=test@test.com(works) confirm link(gmail)confirm.php?email=%09HASH&o=test@test.com(Doesnt work) anyone know why gmail does this? I am looking for a script that is used in Facebook. Wherein, user enters the email address and password and the system will automatically fetch the addresses from the address book of Hotmail or Gmail etc and sends invitation to join the site network. Do you have any link for such a script that comes free. Looking forward to that. Thanks, Faisal i wanting users to be able to update there email address and check to see if the new email already exists. if the email is the same as current email ignore the check. i have no errors showing up but if I enter a email already in the db it still accepts the new email instead of bringing the back the error message. Code: [Select] // email enterd from form // $email=$_POST['email']; $queryuser=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM members WHERE inv='$ivn' ") or die (mysql_error()); while($info = mysql_fetch_array( $queryuser )) { $check=$info['email']; // gets current email // } if($check!=$email){ // if check not equal to $email check the new email address already exists// $queryuser=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM members WHERE email='$email' "); //$result=mysql_query($sql); $checkuser=mysql_num_rows($queryuser); if($checkuser != 0) { $error= "0"; header('LOCATION:../pages/myprofile.php?id='.$error.''); } } cheers I am trying to eliminate this issue but I have had no luck here is my current code: Code: [Select] $from = 'help@my.com'; $body = "<html>\n"; $body .= "<body style=\"font-family:Verdana, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\">\n"; $body .= $message; $body .= "</body>\n"; $body .= "</html>\n"; $boundary = uniqid('np'); $semi_rand = md5(time()); $mime_boundary = "==Multipart_Boundary_x{$semi_rand}x"; $headers = "From: $from"; $headers .= "\nMIME-Version: 1.0\n" ."Content-Type: multipart/alternative;\n" ." boundary=\"{$mime_boundary}\""; $message = "This is a multi-part message in MIME format.\n\n" . "--{$mime_boundary}\n" . "Content-Type: text/html; \n" . "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit\n\n" . $body . "\n\n" . "--{$mime_boundary}--\n"; mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers, '-f'.$from); I have tried adding the plain text part but nothing has worked, could someone else look at this and show me what I need to add so that it has the text/plain MIME part as well? i think because of my code used to send the mail, on my site, its appearing in the spam folder of most of my clients PLUS myself is their a way to eradicate this? correct headers? etc? It's all working perfectly fine, but when the email is received (sent from the online form), and I open my email and click reply, there are two email addresses. The correct one (which I entered when I sent the email), and my ftp username for the site?? I've got three files that could effect this, but I was unable to locate any problems: mailer.php ( smtp send mail class) mail.php ( submission data: title, subject, etc. ) contact_form.php ( form for submission ) I am only including the file which I think is applicable (mail.php), but let me know if you would also like to see the mailer.php class. Hi, folks -- I've been working on this for quite awhile, and have done lots of searching, but I still cannot make it work. Using Xampp on Win 7 x64, with PHP 5.3. Here is my simple PHP code just trying to get something to work: $to = 'my_real_email@gmail.com'; $subject = 'the subject'; $message = 'hello'; $headers = 'From: someone@localhost.com' ; mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers); ?> (NOTE: "my_real_email" is set to my actual email address.) Here are my php.ini settings: Code: [Select] [mail function] ; For Win32 only. ; http://php.net/smtp SMTP = localhost ; http://php.net/smtp-port smtp_port = 25 ; For Win32 only. ; http://php.net/sendmail-from ; sendmail_from = postmaster@localhost ; For Unix only. You may supply arguments as well (default: "sendmail -t -i"). ; http://php.net/sendmail-path sendmail_path = "\"E:\xampplite\sendmail\sendmail.exe\" -t" ; Force the addition of the specified parameters to be passed as extra parameters ; to the sendmail binary. These parameters will always replace the value of ; the 5th parameter to mail(), even in safe mode. ; mail.force_extra_parameters = ; Add X-PHP-Originating-Script: that will include uid of the script followed by the filename mail.add_x_header = Off ; Log all mail() calls including the full path of the script, line #, to address and headers mail.log = "E:\xampplite\apache\logs\php_mail.log" I'm not getting an error and the email seems to be getting "logged", but I do not receive an actual email in my account. Thanks for any suggestions. Hi, I'm new here and new to php. My first attempt at a php project actually so I'm hoping to get some help. I want people to register at my site but I don't want them to put false emails on it. So I used the coding from this website http://www.phpeasystep.com/workshopview.php?id=24 to provide codings for forms and email confirmation links. The process worked up to when I click on the confirmation link (at testing) from the email and the link returns to a blank webpage. No data is transferred from "temp_members_db" table to "registered_members" table at all. I'll attach print screen of my tables. Hoping that someone can point out to me where I'm going wrong as I can't seem to get myself out of this one. Hello Guys,
I need your help as many PHPers here is more experienced in PHP coding than me. I have specific project I am working on and need a piece of code that can send an email from HTML form using PHP to the email address that is entered manually on the form, instead of standard sent to PHP code that is fixed within PHP script and executed during submission. I want sth that can grab manually enetered recipient's e-mail address, paste it to the PHP code and then use it to send the email to the recipient, instead of fixed sent to code. Something would say dynamically changed during the entry that can inject into PHP code the new address email entered on the form and then submit to it. Any ideas will be great.
Thanks.
