PHP - Query A String Of Dates Selected From A Datepicker Calendar
I have a mysql database where users enter their data using a form that includes a rundate input field that generates a calendar date in this type of format: xx/xx/xxxx into a mysql database field called rundate. I would like to query the database to search a string of dates that are in the database, such as 01/01/2011, 01/02/2011, 01/03/2011 but I'm not sure on how to code this into my search.php. I have attached the search page to this post. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate, and if you need me to be more expanded on my explanation, just let me know....i try to keep it very simplistic.
[attachment deleted by admin] Similar TutorialsI am trying to create a simple calendar where a user can add/remove their availability date. This part works so far. Now what I am having trouble with is highlighting the already selected dates that are fetched from a MySQL database.
Here's my code. // HTML <div id="datetimepicker1"></div> // Jquery/Ajax <script> $(document).ready(function () { $('#datetimepicker1').datepicker({ dateFormat: "yy-mm-dd", multidate: true, onSelect: function () { var getDate = $("#datetimepicker1").val(); $.ajax({ type: "POST", //or GET. Whichever floats your boat. url: "snippets/adapter-set.php", data: { date: getDate }, success: function(data) { // alert(data); }, error: function() { alert("Error."); } }); } }); }); </script> // PHP // adapter-set.php $post_date = $_POST['date']; $find_query = $db->prepare("SELECT user_id FROM user_dates WHERE date_available = :date_available"); $find_query->bindParam(':date_available', $post_date); $find_query->execute(); $result_find = $find_query->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); if(count($result_find) > 0) { foreach($result_find as $row) { $user_id = $row['user_id']; } $delete_query = $db->prepare("DELETE FROM user_dates WHERE user_id = :user_id"); $delete_query->bindParam(':user_id', $user_id); $delete_query->execute(); $result_delete = $delete_query->execute(); if($result_delete == false) { echo 'delete false'; } else { echo 'delete success'; } } else { $insert_query = $db->prepare("INSERT INTO user_dates(date_available) VALUES(:date_available)"); $insert_query->bindParam(':date_available', $post_date); $result_insert = $insert_query->execute(); if($result_insert == false) { echo 'insert false'; } else { echo 'insert success'; } }
The above code works fine. It inserts and deletes a date row in MySQL database table based on a click. Now what I would like to do is to highlight all the "available" dates that are already inserted into the database; so that the user knows which dates he has already selected. This is my code for that. But it doesn't seem to be working. No errors. It's just not highlighting the inserted dates. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? // JQUERY <script> $(document).ready(function() { $.post('snippets/adapter-fetch.php', {}, function(data){ $("#datetimepicker1").datepicker({ datesEnabled : data.datesEnabled }); }, 'json'); }); </script> // PHP // adapter-fetch.php $global_user_id = 5; $find_query = $db->prepare("SELECT date_available FROM user_dates WHERE user_id = :user_id"); $find_query->bindParam(':user_id', $global_user_id); $find_query->execute(); $result_find = $find_query->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); if(count($result_find) > 0) { foreach($result_find as $row) { $date_available = $row['date_available']; echo $date_available; } } else { echo 'not dates available'; }
Hi all, I followed a tutorial to get the base of a php calendar done, then added some custom Javascript in order to be able to change the color of the cells. The calendar can be seen he http://www.education-world.co.uk/Education%20World%20Site/calendar.php The problem is now, that I need to integrate a SQL database to keep track of what was set for certain dates. I'm not sure of how to even begin this, all i need to do is keep track of if the candidate is available, not available or working for a specific day. The calendar is submitted to an email but this means when they return at a later date (availability may change) their previously set availability will have been wiped! I can provide code if needed. Can anyone help me out here, really struggling with this! Many thanks, Greens85 I have a simple php calendar script that works great however, I need to make the dates clickable referencing a db tables data. I tried changing the for loop to a while loop with no success so I am now trying to work with the for loop to make the dates (links); here is my complete script (using it as a calendar plugin) with comments to show my re-coding attempt. <?php $time = time(); $numDay = date('d', $time); $numMonth = date('m', $time); $strMonth = date('F', $time); $numYear = date('Y', $time); $firstDay = mktime(0,0,0,$numMonth,1,$numYear); $daysInMonth = cal_days_in_month(0, $numMonth, $numYear); $dayOfWeek = date('w', $firstDay); echo "<div class='row'>\n"; echo "<table width='100%' border='0'><tr>\n"; echo "<td align='center'><span style='font-size:16px; color:#FCF9B6;'><b>Calendar</b></span><p>\n"; echo "<table width='63%' border='1' cellpadding='5'><tr>\n"; echo "<td bgcolor='#AFAFAF'><table width='100%' cellpadding='4' border='1'>\n"; echo "<caption style='text-align:center; font-size:16px; background:#B83C32; color:#fff;'><b>$strMonth $numYear</b></caption>\n"; echo "<thead><tr>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Sunday' scope='col' title='Sunday'>S</th>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Monday' scope='col' title='Monday'>M</th>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Tuesday' scope='col' title='Tuesday'>T</th>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Wednesday' scope='col' title='Wednesday'>W</th>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Thursday' scope='col' title='Thursday'>T</th>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Friday' scope='col' title='Friday'>F</th>\n"; echo "<th style='text-align:center; font-size:12px;' bgcolor='#005500' abbr='Saturday' scope='col' title='Saturday'>S</th>\n"; echo "</tr></thead><tbody><tr>\n"; if($dayOfWeek !=0) { echo "<td style='text-align:center; font-size:12px; color:#000; background:#ddd;' colspan='".$dayOfWeek."'></td>\n"; } for($i=1;$i<=$daysInMonth;$i++) { /* my inserted coding for db query */ $moz = date('n', $time); $result = dbquery("SELECT * From ".DB_GRIMS_BLOG_POST_TOPIC." Any help would be appreciated. Hello, I found this great free php calandar script here "" by Xu and Alessandro, and I'm trying to modify the code to mark several dates(birthdays YYYY-mm-dd) from a date column in a sql database. I've played around with the _showDay() method but I can't seem to get it working.. I've also tried to create a _showBirthday() method to modify the css as well but with no luck. What I'm trying to do is loop through the database to mark the respective dates on the calendar, and have a href to display a new page with the person's name when I click the specific date. Can anyone help with this. Thanks in advance! Hi, I want to check entered dates and times that a user selects against my "book-off" calendar which is a Google Calendar. The dates× from Google is in the form: 2011-04-29T23:00:00.000+02:00 The dates in my booking software (ABPro) is in the form: 2011-04-29 Times in form: 23:00:00 All I want the function to return is a number other than 0 if any of the dates/times in Google feed overlap the requested date/time entered in the booking. So I add a function and get the feed from Google: Code: [Select] function checkOverlapG($calendarID, $startdate, $starttime, $enddate, $endtime){ // Create an instance of the Calendar service using an unauthenticated //HTTP client $service = new Zend_Gdata_Calendar(); //Retrieving events in order of start time $query = $service->newEventQuery(); $query->setUser('calendarID'); // Set to $query->setVisibility('private-magicCookieValue') if using MagicCookie auth $query->setVisibility('public'); $query->setProjection('full'); $query->setOrderby('starttime'); $query->setSortOrder('ascending'); //start with first event in future //seFutureevents must be commented out when using start and end times. $query->setFutureevents('true'); $query->setSingleEvents('true'); $query->setMaxResults('200'); //Guess this could be anything, but can possibly make things slower. Default 25 events //$query->setStartMin('2006-12-01'); //$query->setStartMax('2006-12-16); // setStartMax is exclusive, will not include last date. Must add +1 day. // Retrieve the event list from the calendar server try { $eventFeed = $service->getCalendarEventFeed($query); } catch (Zend_Gdata_App_Exception $e) { echo "Error: " . $e->getMessage(); return null; } Now I want to compare the dates and times and see if any of them collide or overlap. I want to add a counter, and if any of the events overlap, I want the counter to add one number. 1. the first thing I do is check if the event feed include. any events. 2. then I add a counter 3. then I run a foreach to retrieve events one at a time 4. then I change the date and time format from Google Event to match the date and time format form the booking. 5. If fullday event from google, no time information is added, so I add this 6. COMPARE DATES AND TIMES and if overlapping events --> n++; I've not gotten this code to work. Probably I'm doing something wrong, and I'm sorry but I'm completely new to this. Getting the Google Calendar data is working fine, and so is changing the format of the dates/times to be same format as request data. After that (and before, I don't know). Code: [Select] $gCount = count($eventFeed); $n = 0; if (gCount>0){ foreach($eventFeed as $event){ foreach ($event->when as $when) { //Getting rid of extra 00's and time zone info for now $startGevent = $when->startTime; $startGevent = str_replace('.000+02:00',"",$startGevent); $endGevent = $when->endTime; $endGevent = str_replace('.000+02:00',"",$endGevent); //Splitting date and time into two variables list($startDateEvent, $startTimeEvent) = split('T',$startGevent); list($endDateEvent, $endTimeEvent) = split('T',$endGevent); //Fill in the blanks if($startTimeEvent!=0) {} else{$startTimeEvent = "00:00:00";} if($endTimeEvent!=0) {} else{$endTimeEvent = "00:00:00";} //Compare dates if($startdate == $endDateEvent){ if($starttime > $endTimeEvent OR $endtime < $startTimeEvent){} else { n++; } } if($enddate == $startDateEvent){ if($endtime < $startTimeEvent OR $starttime > $endTimeEvent){} else { n++; } } } } return $n; } Hello, I have a few strings that contain dates along with some other text. The string looks like this: Code: [Select] Hi, could you please add these dates to the database?<br /> <br /> <br /> 2-September-2011<br /> 6-September-2011<br /> 7-September-2011<br /> 8-September-2011<br /> 9-September-2011<br /> <br /> Thank you. Dates are always the same format. Sometimes there's a single date, most times there are multiple. Does anyone know how can I get the dates from this string to add them to my sql database? Thank you! I need to write a query that will sum a column 'serv_cc_total' from the first day of the month to the date the record was saved to the db when the record for that date is viewed. Any help would be appreciated. Doug Hi
Been trying to run a query to get all rows from a table between two dates, but nothing seems to work.
$query = "SELECT * FROM table WHERE date BETWEEN '%2014-11-17%' AND '%2014-11-18%'";
Strange thing if I try a search instead a query in phpmyadmin I don't see an operator called 'BETWEEN' on the remote host, but I do on my localhost.
Does this mean it will never work on the remote host? Nevertheless it doesn't work on either and I do have records for both dates in the table.
phpmyadmin:
Version 4.1.14 localhost (wamp) Version 3.3.7deb7 on remote server Thanks Hi, my query doesn't work, I've got a date field in my MySql table, I want to get results of all employees that was added in a certain period. My query doesn't work but as soon as I type in values in my query instead of variables it works, what am I doing wrong? Code: [Select] $date = date('Y/m'); $date1 = strtotime('-6 month'); $date2 = strtotime('-6 month'); echo date('Y', $date1); echo date('m', $date2); $con = mysql_connect("localhost","root",""); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("dbname", $con); $sql = "SELECT * FROM detail WHERE year(engaged) > '$date1' and month(engaged) > '$date2'"; $result=mysql_query($sql); echo mysql_num_rows($result); i am printing the dates from the last 30 days in ascending order and then comparing them in my query to print the results. How can I can print the below array in descending order without affecting my query? Code: [Select] $thirtydaysago = time() - (30 * 24 * 60 * 60); $oneday=24 * 60 * 60; for($i=0;$i<31;$i++) { $d[$i]= $thirtydaysago + ($i*$oneday); echo date('Y-m-d',$d[$i])."<br>"; } for($i=0;$i<31;$i++) { $postsql=mysql_query("SELECT DATE_FORMAT(FROM_UNIXTIME(dateline), '%Y-%m-%d') AS FmtDate, COUNT(postid) AS PostCnt FROM post " . "WHERE dateline < '" . $d[$i+1] . "' AND dateline >= '" . $d[$i] . "' GROUP BY DATE_FORMAT(FROM_UNIXTIME(dateline), '%Y-%m-%d') DESC") or die(mysql_error()); if($postsql_rows=mysql_fetch_assoc($postsql)) { $data_date[$i]["date"]=$postsql_rows['FmtDate']; $data_postcount[$k][$i]["postcount"]=$postsql_rows['PostCnt']; } } $k++; } I'm creating a line graph using ChartJs. I wanted to display my data according to the month selected by the user. For example, if the user select "2021-03" all the order that is made in the month of March will be plotted in the graph. It works well for the current month, but it does not work for the selected month. I use Ajax to get the data but i do not know why my graph does not shown when i click on my `loadchart();` button. Can anyone enlighten me how can i do it? Because i do not know what mistake did i made here. Any kind of explanation will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi All, I need to subtract dates and display the number of days left. I have a 'Start' date and an 'End' date in DATETIME format in the DB. Not quite sure where to start. A simply start - end doesn't work . Start = 2011-11-01-00:00:00 End = 2011-11-30-23:59:59 Since it is now 2011-11-27, my output should equal 3. Any help is appreciated. I've made a few attempts at this, but I'm likely not making much sense.... I'm working on how to phrase the question. I had a MySQL database where I used to combine user first AND last names in a single string... I called that string "Member" So if I filtered: www.mysite.com/members.php?Member=Peter It would find and display all Peters: Peter Rabbit and Peter Griffith and Pope Peter. This is what I want. I'm now keeping each name (first and last) in separate strings (as separate variables?), and I am combining them in an array to display on the website: Code: [Select] $First = $First; $Last = $Last; $member = array($Last, $First,); foreach ($Member as $key => $v ) if (!$v) unset ($Member[$key]); $Member = implode(', ', $Member); echo $Member; Now I've lost the ability to search all the members for Peter. So if I filtered: www.mysite.com/members.php?First=Peter ...it would work.... for Peter Rabbit and Peter Griffith, but not Pope Peter I cannot query the entire array? I can no longer check members (first and last names) for Wayne? www.mysite.com/members.php?Member=Peter I'm betting I can, but there's a lot more to it... and 8 hours of Googling haven't helped much. Thanks for listening. ~Wayne I'm going to create a web page with <iframe> tag & want that the src of <iframe> change as Is it possible to add a query string for example some_var=jk84 to any sort of link be it, http://www.website.com , http://www.website.com/?some_id=4, or http://www.website.com/post=45&category=9 or http://www.website.com/somepost/ ? While adding that extra query string how can I make sure I'm not affecting the website's content or causing some script error? Hi guys,

The idea is the use the query string to return the user to the previous page after the action has been completed. query results[page1]->view record/action selection[page2]->back to results[page1] I'm sure someone has been down this path before. P.S. the script is all contained within one file, thus the filename.ext is already known. Thanks I have seen forums highlight what we searched on google to get to their site. is there a script that would allow me do the same??? |
