PHP - User Authenticated Mail Function
I have been using simple mail function for mailing but the problem is the mail client has been configured in google apps. So whenever this script runs , it sends mail to webmail but not to gmail. What kind of mail function should i use to send emails to gmail. My domain registrar told me to use user authentication mail function but i am unable to find any such function in PHP. Please provide any concrete solution.

And here it comes : They don`t allow php Mail for Spamming Reasons. And they are not willing to make an exception. But, they gave me the advice to implement an authenticated smpt script in order to get the job done. The Vendor, is not willing to help me, and i am to much of a php noob to actually know or understand what to do now. Basically i need to know how i pull of a switch from php mail() to authenticate smpt. If order placed mail send to abc@gmail.com. I want :
1) If SKU starts with 2, email should go to the mail id abc@gmail.com,
2) If SKU starts with 3, email should go to the mail id xyz@gmail.com,
3) If SKU starts with 4, email should go to the mail id qwe@gmail.com,
FYI - If an order contains 10 items email should go separately based on SKU. But an order id the same must include all the emails.
