Hi guys I am trying to send an HTML email using the following code, adapting some code I found on a tutorial site:- Code: [Select] <?php //define the receiver of the email $to = $email; //define the subject of the email $subject = 'Trade-Bidz Registration'; //create a boundary string. It must be unique //so we use the MD5 algorithm to generate a random hash $random_hash = md5(date('r', time())); //define the headers we want passed. Note that they are separated with \r\n $headers = "From: registrations@trade-bidz.co.uk\r\nReply-To: registrations@trade-bidz.co.uk"; //add boundary string and mime type specification $headers .= "\r\nContent-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=\"PHP-alt-".$random_hash."\""; //define the body of the message. ob_start(); //Turn on output buffering ?> --PHP-alt-<?php echo $random_hash; ?> Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <h2>Hello World!</h2> <p>This is something with <b>HTML</b> formatting.</p> --PHP-alt-<?php echo $random_hash; ?>-- <? //copy current buffer contents into $message variable and delete current output buffer $message = ob_get_clean(); //send the email $mail_sent = mail( $to, $subject, $message, $headers ); //if the message is sent successfully print "Mail sent". Otherwise print "Mail failed" echo $mail_sent ? "Mail sent" : "Mail failed"; ?> The code processes, but no email is received, any idea what I am doing wrong/missed out? How do I send a html mail using php mailer? Currently it's sending a plain text mail. The actual html code. My code: SendMailEx($mail, "Your new password", $content); // inside func above $headers = 'From: ***' . "\r\n" . 'Reply-To: ***' . "\r\n" . 'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion(); mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers); Thank you I have a problem, i have page to send via mail function, cant snd html page, when recive mail, there is no layout, but text is there, also there are no images, and i put full address to image file. Using content type html/text, and still nothing :-( Can someone help me? Dear all, Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I have a HTML form wich contains basic textfields en checkboxes. Beyond that i have a row with some dropdowns, but one of these fields in the row is a file field. Also, the visitor is able to add a new row, when the user clicks add row, a new row with the same fields including a new file field appears. This can be done as much as the user likes. The fiel field is optional though, it doesn't need to be filled. All my textfields, checkboxes and dropdowns are coming through email nicely. Only thing that isn't coming my way are the files i attach. My form (stripped but functional) can be seen here http://www.multisearch.info/test/form_test.html For the file fields i take it you need an array wich i have put in the form Code: [Select] <input type="file" name="fileupload[]"> In my PHP wich handles the form i have this wich should handle the images, but this is not working Code: [Select] if(isset($_POST['submit'])) { for($i=0;$i<count($_FILES['fileupload']);$i++) { print $_FILES['fileupload']['name'][$i]."<br />"; } } I hope someone sees something i am missing. Kind regards, Jeroen I am brand new at php coding so I am struggling to understand why my php code is not working in my website. I would like my html form to send me data to my email. Whatever I try, it just will not work. I have ftp'ed it to my website and I checked with my web host, they do support php. Anyone who can help out a newbie, please?

I put it in the first few lines of index.php. Is this wrong, because I still received zero emails, adding the site name to keywords below...? And, of course, I searched the same keyword from Google without success. <?php // Script to email you when Google refers traffic to your site. $name=""; // add your name here $email_address=""; // add your email address here $keywords=""; $referrer=$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; if( (stristr($referrer, "google")) && (stristr($referrer, "search")) ) { parse_str($referrer, $output); $keywords=$output['q']; $email_message="Hi $name, A visitor just arrived to your site after searching for '$keywords'. ($referrer)"; mail ("$email_address","Google referred a visitor","$email_message"); } ?> If this is wrong, how DO I use such a PHP within my phpmyadmin folder? Need help. I got a form which people can use to send a request for information to one or more recipients, depending on which recipients have been selected in the form. At the moment the HTML checkboxes all have a different name attribute and e-mails are sent using an if statement: <input type="checkbox" name="mr-a" value="A" /> A<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr-b" value="B" /> B<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr-c" value="C" /> C<br /> if (isset($_POST['mr-a'])) { // Send e-mail to A } if (isset($_POST['mr-b'])) { // Send e-mail to B } if (isset($_POST['mr-c'])) { // Send e-mail to C } I'm sure there's a much better way of doing this, and I think I should start by creating an array of checkboxes. But I can't figure out how to then use a loop to send the e-mails. Here's the code I got so far. I'm hoping that all I need is a loop where is says 'Send e-mails using a foreach loop?': <?php // Minimal validation: if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { $errors = array(); if (!$_POST['name'] ) { $errors[] = 'Error: no name entered'; } else { $name = $_POST['name']; } if (!$_POST['email'] ) { $errors[] = 'Error: no e-mail address entered'; } else { $email = $_POST['email']; } if (!count($errors)) { // Send e-mails using a foreach loop? } ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>Lorem Ipsum</title> <!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script><![endif]--> <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" /> </head> <body id="index" class="home"> <h1>Lorem Ipsum</h1> <p>Confirmation message.</p> </body> </html> <?php // Get out! exit(0); } ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>Lorem Ipsum</title> <!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script><![endif]--> <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" /> </head> <body id="index" class="home"> <h1>Lorem Ipsum</h1> <p>Contact A, B and/or C.</p> <?php if (isset($errors)) { foreach ($errors as $error) { echo("<p class=\"red\">$error<p>"); } } ?> <form method="post" action="<?php echo htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); ?>"> <fieldset> <legend>Who do you want to contact</legend> <input type="checkbox" name="mr[]" value="A" /> A<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr[]" value="B" /> B<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr[]" value="C" /> C<br /> </fieldset> <br /> <fieldset> <legend>Your Details</legend> <label for="name">Name</label><input type="text" name="name" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['name'])) {echo $_POST['name'];}?>"><br /> <label for="email">Email</label><input type="email" name="email" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['email'])) {echo $_POST['email'];}?>"><br /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Next" /> </fieldset> </form> </body> </html> I am working on a phpmailer script that sends an order confirmation email to the customer AND the client at the same time. If I have the customer email and client email set both to the originating domain's email addresses (myname@myserver.com), then it sends fine. Any SMTP or phpmailer geniuses here that can shed some light on what needs to happen here for this to send to any address? Hello I want to be able to change the class depending on if a variable is 1 or 0. <html> <p class="note-general"> This is the general </p> <p class="note-warning"> And this is the warning </p> </html> I want the variable $adult (that can be 1 or 0) to set if the class should be a note-general or note-warning. Thank you for support Hi, I'm trying to setup a quick PHP script that will grab the email from the url (see below) and after inserting into MySQL db - which is working fine - the script will complete two additional tasks: 1. send that same captured email out to a external db as in shown via http://domain1.com/insert.php?email=$lead (example), but then send to a DIFFERENT source - the originator of the lead - a portback acknowledgement using Header (sending the status and email to http://domain2.com/check.php?e=$lead&s=$status for their records). See the code below: ------------------------- Code: [Select] $lead = $_REQUEST['e_mail']; // will grab email from posted url string and assign to local variable $result = mysql_query($command); // this is just to execute the MySQL insert which works just fine but included here to explain validation below // Create API Call string to insert lead into iContact folder $requestURL = "http://domain1.com/insert.php?email=$lead"; // Execute API Call to CAKE $xml = simplexml_load_file($requestURL) or die("feed not loading"); if ($result) { $status = 1; // mark lead as sucess // send postback on lead status header("Location: http://domain2.com/check.php?e=$lead&s=$status"); } -------- Problem: I'm getting all sorts of errors with the simplexml_load_file() function and can't figure out why it won't work. Any input appreciated as this the only way I know how to pass the lead onward and then inform/update the other party of receipt of information. thanks! I would like to automaclly get posts in a thread manually. Here's my design: -Bot goes to topic, looking for posts -He would search for a <a name="POSTIDHERE">, idenfity it and start the logging loop -Firstly he searches for a field <span id="author"> and logs the content inside it -Then he searches for a field <span id="content"> and logs the content of it -Finally flush it into database (or do it when a step is completed) -When all posts on the page are dealt, move to the next page I don't have a problem with looping ATM, the place I am confused is the second step and the logging steps. How would I do them? In JavaScript there is something called getElementsById. I cannot find the same function in PHP. Thanks! I have mysqli object in Database class base: [color=]database class:[/color] class Database { private $dbLink = null; public function __construct() { if (is_null($this->dbLink)) { // load db information to connect $init_array = parse_ini_file("../init.ini.inc", true); $this->dbLink = new mysqli($init_array['database']['host'], $init_array['database']['usr'], $init_array['database']['pwd'], $init_array['database']['db']); if (mysqli_connect_errno()) { $this->dbLink = null; } } } public function __destruct() { $this->dbLink->close(); } } Class derived is Articles where I use object dBLink in base (or parent) class and I can't access to mysqli methods (dbLink member of base class): Articles class: require_once ('./includes/db.inc'); class Articles extends Database{ private $id, .... .... $visible = null; public function __construct() { // Set date as 2009-07-08 07:35:00 $this->lastUpdDate = date('Y-m-d H:i:s'); $this->creationDate = date('Y-m-d H:i:s'); } // Setter .... .... // Getter .... .... public function getArticlesByPosition($numArticles) { if ($result = $this->dbLink->query('SELECT * FROM articles ORDER BY position LIMIT '.$numArticles)) { $i = 0; while ($ret = $result->fetch_array(MYSQLI_ASSOC)) { $arts[$i] = $ret; } $result->close(); return $arts; } } } In my front page php I use article class: include_once('./includes/articles.inc'); $articlesObj = new articles(); $articles = $articlesObj->getArticlesByPosition(1); var_dump($articles); [color=]Error that go out is follow[/color] Notice: Undefined property: Articles::$dbLink in articles.inc on line 89 Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on a non-object in articles.inc on line 89 If I remove constructor on derived class Articles result don't change Please help me Ok. I know you can pass the object of a class as an argument. Example: class A { function test() { echo "This is TEST from class A"; } } class B { function __construct( $obj ) { $this->a = $obj; } function test() { $this->a->test(); } } Then you could do: $a = new A(); $b = new B($a); Ok so that's one way i know of. I also thought that you could make a method static, and do this: (assuming class A's test is 'static') class B { function test() { A::test(); } } But that is not working. I'd like to know all possible ways of accomplishing this. Any hints are appreciated. thanks I have an existing instance of my class Database, now I want to call that instance in my Session class, how would I go about doing this? |
