PHP - Changing Duration In Seconds To Hours And Minutes

It seems to work fine (was going to tackle Months but haven't done it yet), but anyway is there a better way to do this? I'm guessing there is as I wrote this up rather fast and I'm not that great with date math. Any suggestions are appreciated (besides maybe using ternaries which I'm working on atm).

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and hope this is the right place to post this question. I run an internet radio station using SAM Broadcaster. Hi, im having a problem using a global object in all my scripts and programs. Its a register singleton so it have all the configuration values, etc...

Now im doing:

1-I create a script for testing, test.php
2-I include in that script 'errores.php', thats my error system library.
3-The error library include once 'registroglobal.php', thats my file for the global register.
4-Because i can use a lot of systems with a complete library or alone, i created a system where i test if the library module is part of a more greater library or not. If not, it instantiates the global register in errors.php (called in the include in test.php).
5-Here is the problem. Includes add and execute code, so, i must have all errors.php functions and the global register created.
6-If i test the global register in the test.php script, it goes well.
7-But if i call a function of my errores.php system, it says that my global register is undefined.

Well, thats all the explanation. Whats going on? How can i solve this?

To get current date and time I use:

$date = date("d-M-Y h:i:s");

But how can I get date and time which was before 5 minutes.

I'm trying to add some minutes ($interval) to any given time, but my results aren't as expected...

I have a database with Users as a table. It has the normal stuff, id, username, password, and I have anther in it called lastactive. It is int(11) , and I am wondering how I would make a sql query select the users in the database 'users' and see who has been active in the past 15 mins.

By the way, the lastactive time gets updated by the function time()

Here is how the last active gets updated.

Again its not showing the users that have been on since 15 minutes ago, even tho it updates the users last active on every page since its in the footer.php part. which is on every page.

I have a forum script I made that has thread bumping for the thread creator only. I am trying to limit the amout of time the creator can bump to be every 10 minutes.

I am trying to do a cronjob to check if a user has been online within the past 24 hours.
I have a column with "last_login" with this format: "1337593284".

How can I do a simple if (last_login+24hours< servertime) {

do something...

in my MySql database i have a field "created_at"  = now()
for ex: 2011-05-23 11:47:28

i need to add two hours to that so i have 2011-05-23 13:47:28
how will i do this please?

i have this so far but it is not correct:
