i'm new in php/mysql. i'm stored student marks values in following format in mysql db table. id student_code Tamil English Maths Science Social 1 1 100 75 78 88 95 2 2 85 90 88 80 100 But i want to search and display the specific student marks in following format. id:1 student_code:1 Tamil:100 English:75 Maths:78 Science:88 Social:92 Total:? PROBLEM: Columns from the excluded list still get displayed. Edited November 19, 2018 by phpsaneI have a database with one row and about 50 columns, where the inserted data is being displayed on a page. But a lot of the time not all columns are being used. So say only 25 columns have data, there will be 25 blanks spaces with an • symbol. Is there a way to ignore to columns that have no data in them? I wish to maintain the recordID passed from the master details page and make the dynamic text, which reads Shade A tree that is capable of..... in the attached screen shot a link to another details page referencing the same recordID. The detailspage2.php would look the same as the screenshot except the Shade text and description below will be highlighted, which I can do, there will be a new image and a new image description. All other dynmaic elements on the page will remain the same. I tried to simply save as my detailspage.php to detailspage2.php and create a link to detailspage2.php. Hi All, I've searched long and hard accross the web for an answer to this and finnally given in and requesting help. Here's what i have, i have a database setup and working fine. What i would like to do is for an administrator to be able to update my users details. It may sound odd, why don't you let your users update their own details? Well the administrators are dispatchers if you like, and my users are the 'dispatchees', for want of a better word. So i would like my administrators to be able to dispatch my users with routes and my users be able to see the routes that have been dispatched to them. I've setup a login area and a page that pulls there routes off the database, depending on their login details, i.e. jack will see his routes and jill will see her's independantly. This works by me editing the appropriate columns/rows of my database using phpmyadmin. What i'd like now is for administrators (who are directed to a seperate page, with more controls) to be able to do the same as me (updating the database) but by using a php form/script. I'd like to be able to select the routes from a second table on the same database if possible, to try and keep everything tidy. So my dispatcher would select Route001 from a drop down list, this would fill in the text fields next to the route field with From To, so my dispatcher would know what route001 actually is from/ too, choose a username (now being driven from my other table) and hit dispatch. My user would login to their area, hit view dispatched routes and it would display Route 001 with the correct information. Hi, I am new to PHP and I have this homework due Sunday, I got it on Friday btw I have complete the first part of it , but I can not complete the second part of it. [edit : zane] Don't hesitate to use code tags next time ;), it's the <> button. I am trying to create 3 columns of data from a query. I have used this code before for 2 columns but and now wanting to use for three columns.
There are 5 records from a join query. The first two columns display the results, 2 results in the left column and 3 results in the center column. The right column displayw empyt text used in displaying the results, there is no data to populate and it seems to mimic the the number from the center, 3.

I have a little blog which allows users reply to posts. Replies go into a 'replies' table, awaiting moderation. The table has a moderation_level column. Values in this column are 1, 2 or 3, denoting 'Queued', 'Accepted', 'Rejected', respectively. moderation_queue.php will display recent replies and allow me to alter the moderation_level value by clicking a radio button. Each reply on this page will have three radio buttons - 'Queued', 'Accepted' and 'Rejected' - one of which should be selected according to the current value of the moderation_level column in the db. (By default, all replies are initially assigned a value of '1'.) However I can't figure out how to have the appropriate radio button for each reply selected, or not, according to this value. Any help greated appreciated. Thanks in advance. Most of the songs in the artist column are correct, ex: artist ------------------ John Denver Loretta Lynn Shania Twain Luke Bryan But some of the songs in the artist column are reveresed with a comma, ex: artist ----------------- Dever, John Lynn. Loretta Twain, Shania Bryan, Luke Is there an easy php code snippet or mysql statement that i can use to reverse the order of first name and last name and remove the comma in the last example so the artst columd matches the first example?
