PHP - Search Facility Not Working On Webserver

HI. Total newby here. I have a PDF form that is crested using Adobe Acrobat. When a user fills in the form on the PDF, I want it to be sent to my web server for me to view. Ultimately, I would also like an email to let me know somethings been sent too but that's for a later day, one thing at a time.

I know that on the PDF Form in Acrobat I have to specify a URL to handle the form data but what is this php file and what should it contain. I'm at a total loss with this and cannot find anything on the web about it.

I have been on the paypal website a lot but I can't find what I am looking for.
I trying to find some API so I can show Paypal links on every page I generate from mysql.

When the user press Paypal button, he/or she will be redirected to paypal.com with a form where a field with the ID, already is filled in.
So let's say I press Paypal button ,then a ID, to that page will be sent to paypal and when the user pay the money, a reply from paypal with the ID will come back and confirm the payment.

How can I get this to work?

I have a Login Script with a Remember me Function. The Script works flawlessly on my local server but when I upload it doesn't work on my web server.

From what I can tell its a Session issue, When I log in, I make a session with the user ID, in which is used to pull all there information on other pages. On my local host it makes the sessions and everything is dandy, but on the web server it doesn't seem to make the session. 

Can anyone shed any light on this, I'm clueless once again ^_^

I seem to be seeing a problem I havent noticed before
when I use header for a redirect the session data passes to the new page
when I use href it seems as though even when I do a session_start() on the new page
the session data doesnt pass

Is this normal or is there a setup issue on my server (bluehost)

everything works fine on wamp but when i upload to implement it no good

Hi guys, I have a website that I created and it has the ability to upload images to a directory that is located in the same web server, but there are so many images now and it is taking too much space. What I am trying to do now is for the script to upload the images to a different server but don't want to run FTP on that second server if I don't need to. Does anyone know how I can do that?

Hi, i have problem with libraries, with fpdf and PHPEcel, problem is same...

Can't open file C:\xampp\htdocs\skripta\.... - this is path to php script on my computer

everything work ok on localhost when i test, but when i upload to web server, pdf script try to create file with old windows path: Can't open file C:\xampp\htdocs\skripta\, and not with linux path...


does anyone have solution, and why is that?

Could somebody help me with a little problem I am having, I havew spent the last two weeks trying different ways to search my database without success.

What I want to do is have an input field that I can search only one column of my database. (it is a game collection) for example I want to search the game 'Medal of Honor' i type this in the search field and click submit button and it should find all the entries with that name in the database.

I have tried a few online tutorials and nothing works.

can anybody help me do I search engine for my database

Hi,

I've recently changed servers. I uploaded a website to the new server, imported the SQL etc etc all works fine apart from the search script.

Question is, without posted the code at present, is there anything obvious that could prevent the php search script to stop working on the new server when everything else works fine, and it was working fine on the old server?

I assume the PHP versions of both servers are version 5. Older server 1&1, new server eUKhost

Hi there, new to the forum   Ok so i have a crm and i'm trying to add bits, been pretty succesful at most of it, however i've added a new field "status" and i want to be able to search this field, i've tried copying and changing the existing code, but it doesn't seem to be grabbing it.   So here's some exisiting code (that works and searches the field marked "Address"

This is for a faux stock photo website. When I only use the $query string to search for $searchSubject, everything goes golden. Once I put everything else in there though, the search function will not work at all.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I've been staring at this for too long and it's starting to give me a headache.

Then everything works perfect.

I wrote the search form below to enable users search other users of a site based on certain criteria like age, race etc.  Then I wrote the php script beneath, to execute that search.  I decided to make the script very simple, searching only for one criterion for now (ethnicity).  So even though I have several fields in the search form, I wrote the script to process only one of those fields(ethnicity).  So basically, the script searches all records for members on the site from two tables called images and members(the members table has an "ethnicity column"), who meet the user's ethnicity preference and returns certain columns for all members who meet that preference.  Well when  I click the submit button, all I get is "Form not submitted".  I added that form not submitted clause at the end of the script just after I had tweaked the script in every way possible but got nothing but a blank page every time I submitted the form.  So take a look people and tell me what could be going wrong here.  Appreciate any help. I'm getting a blank screen when I run the following search script. The script should retrieve news entries from the db which contain the keyword and echo those entries with the keyword highlighted in yellow.

Could anyone shed light on why the script isn't running as it should?...
