PHP - Show Form Results On Same Page

Let say i've a huge database of 100,000 entries

The problem

The problem that makes me almost gonna cry,it takes long time to load then it will showing names (remember my_table of 100,000 entries) all at once  and sometimes it sudden shows huage amount once or even sometime it hang up.

My question

Is there any way that i can call it so that it showing me results one name by one name like streaming name1 (done),name2 (done),name3 (done),name4 (done),name5 (done),......etc not showing all at once

i'm afraid it may needs some ajax idea or somehow i really don't know but this is important to me so your help is very useful to me.

so anyone please helps me cause it would really save my hosting ram otherwise they would suspend me

I am making a database with all the Boeing deliveries sorted by month. I made a index with all the months and when you click on a month you will get a full list of the type and quantity of aircraft that has been deliverd.

I have two problems and I can't figure it out.
The first problem I have, is that I want to show the visitors which airline has bougt which type of aircraft and how many.
The second problem I have is a want to show them the total amount of deliveries, not just per type of aircraft, but a total number.

Here are some shots of my problem and what I have:

This is how my MYSQL-database lookes like. The columns I have a id, day, month, year, airline, aircraft, amount (just a simple translation of the Dutch words ).
As you can see, there are some airlines that received one type of aircraft two times (TUI Travel PLC has received 2x Boeing 737-800). Keep this in mind, I will get back to this.


This is the table on my website. The first column shows the type of aircraft. The secon column shows us how many of that type has been deliverd. In the last column I want to have all the airlines that has received that type of aircraft. As I mentioned above, TUI Travel PLC has received 2x B737-800, so in the row of B737-800 I want to have TUI Travel PLC (2x). If the airline received more then 1 aircraft, I would like to have (.....x) (and the amount on the dots --> TUI example: 2 aircraft, so 2x). So you will get TUI Travel PLC (2x).

Hi All,   I need to get a small function working for a site I need to build for a group of friends.   I was able to get a login page, and a way to add data to the data base.   Now I am stuck on the search and show results fuctionalities.   I have found tens of scripts on the internet, but most of them are outdated, or I cant get them to work, either it sends me back a blank page, does nothing or sends me to an error page   The GOAL User Inputs text in a text box, clicks submit, the data in the text box is looked for in the second collumn of the DB, The information of the collumns 2 to 7 of the DB for the name search are displayed either on the same page or on a new page.   Is there any chance you could hel me with that, taken into account that I dont need the html part of the code, I only need help with the php part...   Thanks in advance to all the people reading this and the ones helping me...

hi guys

i am building a voting system for my gaming website

people sign up for matches, and those will be played at 3-5 different maps
people can vote for wich maps they want to play

each player can choose 3 maps, also 3 x the same map

now the results of that voting system are shown on the page like this

There is 1 vote for Map 1
There are 5 votes for Map 2
There is 1 vote for Map 3
There are 2 votes for Map 7
There is 1 vote for Map 4
There is 1 vote for Map 5
There are 8 votes for Map 8

now i want to make a script that picks the maps that will be played, so only show the 3-5 best results

in the example above it woud be 2 x map 8 and 1x map 2
but im not sure how to start on this

the db table of the votes is built like this

Quesion: Show each movie in the database on its own page, and give the user links in a "page 1, Page 2, Page 3" - type navigation system. Hint: Use LIMIT to control which movie is on which page. I have a script that runs a MySQL query and loops through a bunch of results.   For each person's name, I have a short bio that I want to show/hide by clicking on the person's name.  I have a basic start, but I can't figure out how to show/hide them individually. When I click on someone's name, it shows/hides all of the bio's.  I do have an individual ID for each person, and could use that somehow, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how to accomplish that.  Any ideas?   http://jsfiddle.net/APA2S/3644/

I'm trying to figure out how to NOT show emailed results if the checkbox is empty (not checked).

I only want it included in the message of the email if the checkbox was checked.

It is writing the data to the email properly, but it is including some of the code as well.

I want to show a cookie of a referral's username on a sign up page. The link is like this, www.mysite.com/signup?ref=johnsmith.

The cookie doesn't show if I go to that url page. But it does show up once I reload the page.  So I'm wondering if it's possible to show the cookie the first time around, instead of reloading the page?

Hi,

my page is currently up at brewhas.org/transactions.php.  When I retrieve a set of results > the defined # per page (such as entering 'WI' for last name), I see the first page correctly, and see the links to next pages, but when I go to the next page there are no results displayed.  Same for p.3, etc.

So I've looked around enough to know that I need to pass a variable to the subsequent pages, either via a session variable or the URL.  I have 2 fields input on the form, as well as a limit and offset.  My questions are 1) do I need to pass all 4 and if so then should I use a session variable so the URL does not get too long, and 2) can anyone provide any help with setting session variables and including them to be passed?

I've got a page with pagination set up, but I can't figure out where I went wrong with the links at the bottom.

When I do a search, it generates the proper number of links, but clicking on the links goes to a page with a whole row of 20 links at the bottom and no results on the page. (my search should show 3 pages with 2 records on each page)

I've looked through the tutorial here and one in a book on pagination. Not seeing what's wrong. I'd narrow this down if I knew where it was causing the problem. pagination links are at the very bottom of the code.

Ok, so I have a bit of code but it's not working as it should, would one of you guys have a look at it and let me know where I'm going wrong?

Basically I need to be able to input several words or terms into the text area, each on a separate line and have the results displayed something like:

hello: 23,000.000
hello world: 19,000,000
world: 278,000,000

I also see that the script is not searching the words / terms inside quotes (EG. "hello world")
