PHP - Php Mail Works On Shared But Not On My Dedicated Server

Following a tutorial on udemy, i tried to learn the very basics of mvc structure. I built the same project on my local server and it worked without giving me any error. but when i tried it on live server. its not working as it should. not showing any error. I tried to figure out the problem and found that for every page loading, it stops at the same line in my main.php file.

Hey, friends.  I have some trouble on the server front.  My sites have been hacked, and I need to make sure I've eradicated every trace of this exploit.  I'm looking for a way to search for any and all php files contained in multiple directories with specific names.  For instance, I have found a commonality in relation to where these malicious files are placed, such as:

Is there a way I can easily (e.g. using ssh and the "find" command) locate all files ending in php but only found in directories named "img"?  I can't seem to find anything that would allow me to do this with find, or with a combination of find and grep.  I can't go directory by directory, as some of these img directories are created many levels deep, some even in .svn directories. 

Any and all help is appreciated.  Hackers suck.

Curious to know if someone wouldn't mind taking a look at this code and letting me know if there are any apparent errors that may cause this problem:

I attempted sending the message to one of my two 1and1 email accounts and after some delay, it sent it to 1and1 account B but not 1and1 account A.  My gmail account, however, gets them every time.  I'd like to just say it's some issue with 1and1 but since it successfully got through to the one 1and1 account I'm not comfortable stopping at that.  I should also mention that for some reason, as I'm trying it today, the successful 1and1 account will no longer receive the messages...  I've tried it with directly copying the php mail code from 1and1's FAQ, though, and it seemed to work for the 1and1 account that was previously succcessful (acct B) but not acct A.

I have some code that works fine on my dev server but does not work on my production server.  Dev server has PHP version 5.2.5 and production server has PHP version 5.1.6.

This is the part of the code that isn't working on the prod. server:

$tmpDoc is a variable that holds database information in xml form.  It basically looks like this:

...that is inside a while loop that loops through the rows returned by a query.

Basically, as I said, the whole thing works fine on my dev server but on the production server it never makes it into the for loop so I guess the condition $i<($x->length) isn't being met.  I'm at a bit of a loss here.  Is there anything like the PHP version or Apache version that may cause the "->" operator to not work?  The prod PHP version isn't that much older than my dev PHP version so I doubt that's the issue but it's about all I can think of.

Hi, I am having a problem with my Website mail.  Basically the mail was working fine yesterday but last night I  edited the PHP script slightly because for some reason the page that it was directed to had gone missing and was turning up an 404 error, which was just a newsuince as the email was still sent. So I just edited it so that it echo'ed a message saying thanks. but is seems today the mail is not getting to its destination. The PHP returns no errors and returns the success message fine but after saying its been sent it never appears.
I have tried different email addresses on different servers and that was no use and I have also changed the code back to how it was yesterday. and it still doesn't work.
I have also put the page up on one of my other sites which I know everything is set up properly and it works fine, making me think that it is a mail setup issue. but as I did not set up the mail at all and quite frankly don't really understand it, I don't know how it is meant to be set up as I just use google apps for sites that I set up.

So yeah I am trying to work out what could have gone wrong since yesterday but I don't really understand it,

Hello i m newbie to PHP.  I am trying to host the website on my laptop but due to some configuration i cant send the emails through php script. I am trying send mail through mail() but not able to sent mail.

Say I have an email info@website.com created in cPanel on a web hosting company.

I want to send email notifications to users on my website. I am using PHP Mailer to send the emails. But all the emails go directly into their junk box/spam folder, unless they confirm that info@website.com is not junk.

I am wondering if there is a work around for this?

I had some trouble getting the mail function to work, I guess because I'm developing on LAMP (localhost), but I got it working at the office yesterday by configuring things as outlined here

This got it working fine.  But today I'm trying it from home and it's not working (mail is not getting sent).  I don't know how the network is set up at work, but at home I'm on wireless lan through a d-link router.  I have a feeling it has something to do with the smtp_port = 465 (see link above), and that port maybe being blocked by the firewall or something.  I'm not really sure how all this stuff works though.  I tried contacting d-link, but they want some money before they'll help me out.  I followed some instructions I found online to forward port 465, which seemed to work (at lease the router told me so).  But the mail is still not sending.  A also tried the "fix-almost-any-computer-problem-ever" solution (i.e. I restarted my computer).  But still nothing.

I hope I've come to the right place for help.  Any help would be great.

Hi guys,

I know this is a bit of a messy question, but i have a problem with some code that my friend wrote, and now i don't know how to fix it.

Basically there is a line of code on my site, and what my friend told me was that this specific line of code has to do with the server and is similar to a ticking clock.

What he told me is that it is a "counted related value" which needs to been changed every now and then when it hits the servers limit.

This actually means nothing to me, but i'm hoping some one out there knows what my friend means. Anyway this is the line of code i need to change, or in fact the number i need to change. The problem is that as i dont really know what i'm doing i have no idea as to what to change the number to.

Please help guys, I really need to fix this asap. Anyways this is the code:

I have tested my code and got it working but when it was uploaded to my web host of godaddy.com it suddenly stops working on one page; it literally comes up a blank page, the page source is completely empty as well.

 My program works on WAMP (PHP Version 5.5.12) running on my machine. However, the same program will not run on remote server (PHP Version 5.4.32). Basically, I'm trying to insert values obtained from a form into a database. I've checked and rechecked the table I'm inserting into and I can't find anything wrong with it. The trouble is it's hard to debug a PHP program. Unlike, say, C++ which requires a compiler, you can trace the program line by line to look for errors. That's not possible with PHP and makes it so much harder to look for faults.
 The relevant functions used to send data to database are shown below. insert() is returning false every time and I can't understand why! I wonder if anyone can suggest where things might be going wrong. I would be very grateful.

I am moving my website to a new Service Provider. The script I use for multiple updating worked on the older server but not on the new one. It shows the information but does not update the records.
