PHP - Using Get To Change Image Based On Url
Main URL of website home page: www.mysite.com and this shows image "A" in the header.
I want to have a marketing campaign which will send people to my site via this link: www.mysite.com/index.php?ref=att When people get to my site via the 2nd link, I want to show image "B" instead of image "A". I put this at top of home page... Code: [Select] require_once("includes/session.php"); if (isset($_GET['ref']) && ($_GET['ref'] == "att")) { $_SESSION['ref'] = "att"; } else { } and this code is in my header include file, a little further down on the page... Code: [Select] <?php if (isset($_SESSION['ref']) && $_SESSION['ref'] == "att") { echo ""; } else { echo ""; } ?> Does this look right? because I can't get it to work. It's showing image A regardless of which URL I use. I have to be missing something obvious because I really thought this would be super easy to do. If anyone sees any problems, let me know. But I'll keep testing and hopefully find my mistake. Thanks! Similar TutorialsI'm new to this form and php/mysql so sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. This is what is in the first dropdown box. Code: [Select] $selValues['john'] = "a, b, c, d, e"; These are the different lists I want it to put in the second drop down box depending on what they choose in the first. Code: [Select] $selValues['list1']= " a1, a2, a3, a4, a5"; $selValues['list2']= " b1, b2, b3, b4, b5"; This is how I made an attempt to make it work before posting here. Along with plently of other ways. Code: [Select] if ($selValues['john']=a) { $chan_input = selectBuilder($selValues['$list1'] }; else if ($selValues['john']=b) { $chan_input = selectBuilder($selValues['$list2'] }; Basicly how I need it to work is there are two drop down boxes. First they will chose between a,b,c,d,e. If they chose a then on the second drop down box I only want them to be able to select a1,a2,a3,a4,a5. Hi php freaks i am new to php im doin a small project to handle tickets created by customers now i want to change the font color based on the status for example: ID + Name + Product + Status ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1111 + abcdef + bat + processing ----------------+--------------------------------------+------------------------------------------+------------------------------ i can connect to database and fetch it the only place i need help is changing the any help would be very helpful thanks in advance Hello folks, So, not sure where to start, but I'm wondering if it's at all possible to change a prepared statement / sql based on whether or not we're displaying for desktops, or for smartphone/tablets? I'm not sure what to start looking at since I'm pretty new in PHP and all... I've managed to figure out how to change CSS if I'm on phone @media only screen and (max-width: 767.98px){ // PUT CSS FOR PHONES... } Any directions on how I would change my SQL, would be awesome! I'd like to narrow down the columns returned if I'm on phone, otherwise breaks my pages looks too much... Much thanks in advance! Pat
Hi Guys.. How can I change a date on the fly ? Everything is UTC on my server. How can I change a date to something else on the fly? Ie: $timezone = "cet"; $datetime = "2011-09-04 19:53:00"; echo $datetime($timezone); So I can give it a datetime and have it echo the datetime as if it were in the other timezone? Thanks Graham Hi all, I've done a LOT of googling on this and found things that match what I need but nothing actual achieves what I need. I've used one php file before for doing multiple jobs (ie registration?step=2 / 3 etc), but I've boo-booed somewhere and it only works up until step 2, step 3 doesn't work. Here's what I have currently, it also leads me on to the next question. Code: [Select] <?php if(isset($_GET['step']) == 2) { ?> Please select the problem you are encountering. <a href="registration.php?step=3&console=<?php $_GET['console'] ?>&issue=1rrod"> <?php } if (isset($_GET['step']) == 3) { ?> END <?php } else {?> Please select which type of Xbox 360 you have
<?php } ?> So, first step (which is bottom), lets you select which type of console it is - only two possible choices. That then passes that data to step 2, which is what issue the console is having. Now I've tried this with $_POST, as I would prefer to work that way. I've experimented with $_SESSION to try and pass everything I need, using code found elsewhere. But I just can't get it to pass from page to page and finally be able to use it to email in the final step. Final issue - I want to use images instead of buttons to be able to pass the variables. I've found that using hidden type input does work but I think this issue is related to the above one. Thanks! If I take the same image, and strip out the exif data with photoshop (save as for web, no meta data), the image uploads correctly. Is there any way to force imagecopyresampled to not rotate the image? Thanks B Using php I have a dynamically filled select box with the names of images. How can I get an image box on my page and change upon selection? Hi all, I am dealing with an html page in which a dynamically created PNG image is shown with: The problem arises when users try to download the image since the default name that appears is just "createchart.php". Is there any way to make the browser suggest something like "chart.png"? Than you guys for your help, Mam This creates an image 1500x1500 pixels. But it creates it in black... how can i make it white. And i have to use imagecreatetruecolor() not imagecreate(). <?php $im = imagecreatetruecolor(1500,1500); // Output the image to the browser header('Content-type: image/jpg'); imagejpeg($im); imagedestroy($im); ?> Thanks! HI I'm thinking to do something like this , I've seen this in a website ,I'm a php designer but i don't know who something like this can be done . it's a website that sells sofas . we've the ability to change the color and fabric and see the result right away . for example ,this is the default sofa : then I can select a part of it and I can choose the fabric and color , then it make the result : thats it , How can I do that ? What should I do ? I'm really looking to hear from you King Regards Hi,
I want to show one image for the new visitors of my website and another for the returning visitors. What I want to do is that after the visitor reload the page he will see another image instead of the first one.
Currently, I insert a small thumbnail image at the begging of each row in a set of records from a mysql query. But that image is the same image for each record in that array. Is there a way to conditionally change which image is used, based on a value either in that same table, or a related table. See attached screenshot... and here's my current code.... Code: [Select] <?php $query = "select address from nvc"; $result = mysql_query($query); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { $details=''; $details.='
<a href=detail.php?address='.(urlencode($row['address'])).'>'.$row['city'].''; $details.='
'; echo($details); } ?> Thank you for any input. I have a PHP script that uploads images to a folder on my server (attachments folder). Currently the folder sits within my webroot and is publicly accessible (I have to use chmod 777 due to permissions issue). So, I created the "attachments" folder outside of my webroot (so that it is not publicly accessible), but I do not know how to set the path in the PHP code to upload it to that "attachments" folder outside of the webroot. As you see in the snippet of PHP code below, the code currently uploads the the "attachments" folder within the www (webroot) directory. How do I make it upload to the "attachments" folder OUTSIDE of the www (webroot) directory? foreach($files[$form] as $file){ $str = $file[1]; if (eval("if($str){return true;}")) { $_values[$file[0]] = $_FILES[$file[0]]["name"]; $dirs = explode("/","attachments//"); $cur_dir ="."; foreach($dirs as $dir){ $cur_dir = $cur_dir."/".$dir; if (!@opendir($cur_dir)) { mkdir($cur_dir, 0777);}} $_values[$file[0]."_real-name"] = "attachments/".date("YmdHis")."_".$_FILES[$file[0]]["name"]."_secure"; copy($_FILES[$file[0]]["tmp_name"],$_values[$file[0]."_real-name"]); @unlink($_FILES[$file[0]]["tmp_name"]); }else{ $flag=true; if ($_isdisplay) { //$ExtFltr = $file[2]; //$FileSize = $file[4]; if (!eval("if($file[2]){return true;}")){echo $file[3];} if (!eval("if($file[4]){return true;}")){echo $file[5];} $_ErrorList[] = $file[0]; } } } i am new to web designing,

Hey guys! I have the following php code that grabs variables (and the browsed image) from Flash. //FLASH VARIABLES $Name = $_POST['Name']; $itemNumber = $_POST['itemNumber']; $filename = $_FILES['Filedata']['name']; $filetmpname = $_FILES['Filedata']['tmp_name']; $fileType = $_FILES["Filedata"]["type"]; $fileSizeMB = ($_FILES["Filedata"]["size"] / 1024 / 1000); list($filename, $extension) = explode('.', basename($_FILES['Filedata']['name'])); $filename = $Name; $target = $filename . $itemNumber . This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=347058.0 I have a page where I want a success and a fail response. It's a contact page so, if they fill in all that's required, and send, a success "message" will pop up but if they send but for some reason, it fails, to display a fail "message". What it does right now is the fail and success are constantly visible regardless. So how do I make it display the corresponding message accordingly? *Also how am I to make the text within the boxes invisible ? But that's lower priority Hi, I need to create a secure API at work so that 2 systems can interact with each other and request data (json format). I need to use an API key for this but don't want to use an API key stored in a database, what is the best way to go about this? I would like to use some sort of encryption algorithm and a white list of a few values to validate against once decrypted, is this safe and are there any algorithms I can use to generate my keys and white list? |
