PHP - Why Does My If Statement Fire Improperly!
Unless i'm mistaken, the part within the IF statement should only occur if $table_res['Field'] is found within $data but instead it pushes to the array no matter what!
#Read the file that was just uploaded for use $csvfile = "csv/datafile.csv"; $fh = fopen($csvfile,"r") or die("Could not open rename.csv file !"); #GET ALL THE FIELDS WITHIN THE TABLE STRUCTURE #USE IT TO COMPARE AGAINST THE COLUMNS IN THE CSV FILE #MAP WHICH COLUMN BELONGS TO WHAT FIELD $tbls_sql = "SHOW COLUMNS FROM $tablename"; $tbls_qry = mysql_query($tbls_sql) or die(mysql_error()); $fieldarray = array(); $keyarray = array(); $data = fgetcsv($fh); while($tbls_res = mysql_fetch_assoc($tbls_qry)) { #echo $tbls_res['Field'] . "<BR>"; if($getkey = array_search($tbls_res['Field'],$data)) { array_push($fieldarray,$tbls_res['Field']); array_push($keyarray,$getkey); } else { echo ""; } } Similar TutorialsThis topic has been moved to CSS Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=310924.0 So i loaded up firefox as im used to working in Chrome and IE and it looks like my forum isnt liking firefox. Hello!
I was assigned to create a simple php game as a part of my grade. I'm not really a php expert and this isnt really working. I copied some of the code from this website, but this isn't really working for me. I don't really know how to solve the problem and connect that two files.
Part 1:
<html> <head> <title>PHP based example Game - Earth & Wind & Fire (aka Paper-Scissors-Rock)</title> </head> <body> <center> <div id="game"> <a href="?item=earth">Earth<br /><img src="images/sand.png" width="135" height="135" alt="Earth"></a><br /><a href="?item=wind">Wind<br /><img src="images/wind.png" width="135" height="135" alt="Wind"></a><br /><a href="?item=fire">Fire<br /><img src="images/fire.png" width="135" height="135" alt="Fire"></a><br /></div> </center> </body> </html>Part 2: <?php function showComponents($items = null) { $pictures = array( "earth" => '<a href="?item=earth">Earth<br /><img src="images/sand.png" width="135" height="135" alt="Earth"></a><br />', "wind" => '<a href="?item=wind">Wind<br /><img src="images/wind.png" width="135" height="135" alt="Wind"></a><br />', "fire" => '<a href="?item=fire">Fire<br /><img src="images/fire.png" width="135" height="135" alt="Fire"></a><br />', ); if ($items == null) : foreach( $pictures as $items => $value ): echo $value; endforeach; else: echo str_replace("?item={$items}", "#", $pictures[$items]); endif; } function game() { if ( isset($_GET['item']) == TRUE ) : $pictures = array('earth','wind','fire'); $playerPic = strtolower($_GET['item']); $computerPic = $pictures[rand(0, 2)]; echo '<div><a href="http://mapswidgets.com/game.php">New game</a></div>'; if (in_array($playerPic, $pictures) == FALSE): echo "Play as either Earth, Wind or Fire."; die; endif; if ( $playerPic == 'fire' && $computerPic == 'wind' OR $playerPic == 'earth' && $computerPic == 'fire' OR $playerPic == 'wind' && $computerPic == 'earth' ): echo '<h2>You Win!</h2>'; endif; if ( $computerPic == 'fire' && $playePic == 'wind' OR $computerPic == 'earth' && $playerPic == 'fire' OR $computerPic == 'wind' && $playerPic == 'earth' ): echo '<h2>Computer wins!</h2>'; endif; if ($playerPic == $computerPic) : echo '<h2>House wins! =)</h2>'; endif; showComponents($playerPic); showComponents($computerPic); else : showComponents(); endif; } ?>Thanks for your time and help! However, once I click one of the links it falls back to the log-in page, and it ends up being a never ending loop. It's doing this: Log-In --> Page with links ---> Log-In page again Should be doing this: Log-In --> Page with links --> Add Product page or View Products page I can never get into the the actual sub page. Just to be clear, the address bar actually shows product=add or product=view, but it still shows the log-in page. Hello Everyone, I have to change the if statements to a switch statement, in this game. Can anyone help? Thanks. var checkKeyPressed = function (e) { // Press key A or key D to make dog run to the left or right // The running speed is specified by the step variable, 10 by default. // If you replace 10 with a larger integer, the dog will run faster. //press A, dog runs left if (e.keyCode == "65") { if (prex[0] > 5) { prex[0] = prex[0] - step; } } //press D, dog runs right if (e.keyCode == "68") { if (prex[0] < right) { prex[0] = prex[0] + step; } } }; I'm having a problem whit the pdo - sql statement: It dosen't return anything but when i try $sql = " SELECT en FROM word WHERE MATCH (sp) AGAINST (:word IN BOOLEAN MODE ) "; without the pdo it's working perfectly Code: [Select] $sql = " SELECT en FROM word WHERE MATCH (:sp) AGAINST (:word IN BOOLEAN MODE ) "; $st = $con->prepare($sql); $st->bindValue(":word",$word,PDO::PARAM_STR); $st->bindValue(':sp','sp',PDO::PARAM_STR); $st->execute(); I have a query that outputs certain values in a table, but i want to put a conditional if statement. What i have right now is if the status is 1 echo Close and if the status is 0 Open what i want it to do now is not to show the values that have 1 along with all the other database table entries how would i do that Code: [Select] //if statement for status if($rows['status'] == 1) { $status = "Close"; } else $status = "Open"; ?> need help in if statement i will use it wordpress i am semi brand new in php and html i forged it with the help of c and c ++ visual basic LOL and some tutorial but did not work if any one can help making it work <?php $Shreef = <?php echo "get_post_meta($post->ID, 'sub', true);" ?> if ($Shreef=="Subbed"){ <font color="green"> <?php echo "get_post_meta($post->ID, 'sub', true);" ?> </font> } else { if ($Shreef=="Raw") <font color="red"> <?php echo "get_post_meta($post->ID, 'sub', true);" ?> </font> else { <?php echo "get_post_meta($post->ID, 'sub', true);" ?>} } ?> I have a table on a page that displays info from a database and everything is working fine but I want it so if the user entered data from another page to a certain field then the row on my data display table will turn red. I know its kind hard to understand but any help is appreciated. Hello I'm hoping someone here can help me with this. I know very little PHP I'm afraid but I think what I want to do is fairly basic and should be relatively simple. I have a footer which is referenced on each page of the site with <?php include($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/php/footer.php"); ?> Within the footer I want it so that if it's the home page (default.php) it displays just the footer but for any other page I want it to display a Div and then the footer. Here is what I have so far but it isn't working: <?php if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] == "default.php") { ?> <!--Home Page Footer--> <div class="footer"> <div class="footer1"> </div> <div class="footer2"> </div> <div class="footer3"> </div> <div class="footerLinks"> <?php include($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/php/bottomlinks.php"); ?> </div> <div class="footer4"> </div> </div> <?php } else { ?> <!--Blue Footer Image--> <div class="footer2"> </div> <!--Footer--> <div class="footer"> <div class="footer1"> </div> <div class="footer2"> </div> <div class="footer3"> </div> <div class="footerLinks"> <?php include($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/php/bottomlinks.php"); ?> </div> <div class="footer4"> </div> </div> <?php } ?> I don't know that the request uri address is correct but when I've tried to use 'echo $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']' to find out what it should be I can't get that to work either. I'm new here, this is my first post. Sorry if it's too basic or I've made a forum faux pas. Any help would be extremely appreciated. hi how do u do a if statement so that if <a href="TaxiEntry1.php?Quote_ID='.$qid.'">Accept</a> is clicked then update this field in this table } thanks Hi All, I have an SQL query that returns a date (31/01/2011 - for example) and this get's placed into a variable - $req_date. I want to be able to display an image when the required date is within 5 days of the current date. Normally in an if statement I would use: <?php if ($ticket_no == 100) { echo "This is ticket 100" } else { echo "This is not ticket 100" ?> However I am struggling to work out the difference between the 2 dates. Any ideas? Cheers Matt Trying to code a first fit algorithm (explanation here). It doesn't output everything correctly at the end. There probably is an easier way to achieve this, but I need to do it using do and while statements. From the output I only get the first array, none of the others display. function first_fit(&$arr, &$max) { $bin = array(array(), array(), array(), array(), array(), array(), array(), array(), array() ,array() ); $i=0; $j=0; do { do { if (array_sum($bin[$j])+$arr[$i] <= $max) {$bin[$j][] = $arr[$i]; $k=1; } $j++; } while($k = 0); $i++; $j=0; } while($i<=9); outputarray($bin[0]); outputarray($bin[1]); outputarray($bin[2]); outputarray($bin[3]); outputarray($bin[4]); outputarray($bin[5]); outputarray($bin[6]); outputarray($bin[7]); outputarray($bin[8]); outputarray($bin[9]); } The function outputarray() just prints the array in a nicely formatted way. Any help would be much appreciated. this if statement isn't working.. $newid is an integer, which is the name of a variable of an array e.g. $53. The below code should check if the array exist. it should echo yes.. instead it is blank. Code: [Select] if(isset(${"$newid"})) { echo "yes"; //code } I've never really had this problem before. I'm trying to make it so only moderators can edit titles. This is currently my if statement: elseif($type == 2 && acc_status(getUsername()) > 1 && !isset($_POST['title']) || !isset($_POST['content'])) (I can assure you getUsername() works) Interpretation: If the editing type is 2 (thread/topic) and the user's account status is higher than 2 (meaning admin & mod) and the title or message/content isn't set, display the content within the if statement block. Why is it users with a user status of 1 can see the information within the block statement, allowing them to see the "edit title" field? i want do do something like this The following code works but wondering if I should be using $update1, $update2, $rsUpdate1, $rsUpdate2 instead for error checking etc. Code: [Select] $update = "UPDATE model SET name = '$name', age = '$age', ... "; $rsUpdate = mysql_query($update); if( isset($city_1) ) { $update = "UPDATE model_in_city SET city_id = '$city_1', ...'"; $rsUpdate = mysql_query($update); } if( isset($city_2) ) { $update = "UPDATE model_in_city SET city_id = '$city_2', ...'"; $rsUpdate = mysql_query($update); } if ($rsUpdate) // insert $rsUpdate2 && $rsUpdate3 here as well? { echo "Update successful."; } Hi Guys I've absolutely no knowledge of OOP and I've inherited a huge site built with OOP. I can convert some of it, to variables I understand and can use, and have a vague understanding of the predefined functions. However I an struggling to put a simple if/or statement together. if(user_has_role_assignment($USER->id,1)){ works fine, but when I try to do it as an if / or it fails. if(user_has_role_assignment($USER->id,1)) || ($USER->id,36)) { Any ideas? Sorry, I don't have any errors as another part of the site turns off the error reporting and I can't for the life of me turn it back on with error_reporting(E_ALL) in the page; |
