PHP - File Upload To Another Server
Hi
I have a form which is used to upload files to my server, now i need to move files to another server as soon they are uploaded, but move_uploaded_file will work with local server where form has been submitted. i was thinking to add some ftp functions to upload that file to remote server but is there any better way? that user dont notice ftp connection timing. i wants to use less ftp connections and user should not notice delay timing for image upload. Thanks for any suggestion. Similar Tutorialsi am making song site i want to upload songs files on another instread on which m running my script for uploading songs and adding information in data... mean want to know is there any function or method that i upload files through the panel of www.site1.com and my files upload on an other server www.site2.com. which code i have to write for doing this I have a script that uploads my file, but this script requires apache. I want to get this file onto my other server that's running nginx. Is there a way for PHP to write a file to nginx? Alternatively, is there a way for PHP to copy a file from one server to another? Because that will work as well. How do I do this? I designed a web form that takes as input a file and that should upload that file on the server. The file is located on the client machine. The page containing the web form is handled by PHP script. I found out (reading 9483658954 forum topics so far) that there are 2 methods for getting a file uploaded. The first one is using FTP, and the second one using $_FILES variable. Unfortunately i have complains regarding both of the methods. Firstly, when attempting to upload the file using FTP it seems that rather the FTP server is calling "upload" a simple copy action (because the only successful thing i could do with FTP was to copy a file from location A to location B, both A and B being on the server) or I don't know to use FTP (which is probably the right answer). Then, when using $_FILES variable, I was forced to include ' enctype="multipart/form-data" ' in the form tag. After a long documentation I finally figured out that by including the enctype blah blah, the $_POST and $_FILES variables were NULL after the form was submitted.Still can't understand why! Are there any other methods for uploading a file from the client machine to the server? Can I get a competent script for this? files that upload during insert/submit form was gone , only files upload during the update remain , is the way query for update multiple files is wrong ? $targetDir1= "folder/pda-semakan/ic/"; if(isset($_FILES['ic'])){ $fileName1 = $_FILES['ic']['name']; $targetFilePath1 = $targetDir1 . $fileName1; //$main_tmp2 = $_FILES['ic']['tmp_name']; $move2 =move_uploaded_file($_FILES["ic"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath1); } $targetDir2= "folder/pda-semakan/sijil_lahir/"; if(isset($_FILES['sijilkelahiran'])){ $fileName2 = $_FILES['sijilkelahiran']['name']; $targetFilePath2 = $targetDir2 . $fileName2; $move3 =move_uploaded_file($_FILES["sijilkelahiran"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath2); } $targetDir3= "folder/pda-semakan/sijil_spm/"; if(isset($_FILES['sijilspm'])){ $fileName3 = $_FILES['sijilspm']['name']; $targetFilePath3 = $targetDir3 . $fileName3; $move4 =move_uploaded_file($_FILES["sijilspm"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath3); } $query1=("UPDATE semakan_dokumen set student_id='$noMatrik', email= '$stdEmail', surat_tawaran='$fileName', ic='$fileName1',sijil_lahir='$fileName2',sijil_spm= '$fileName3' where email= '$stdEmail'");
I have a PHP web system that store in a windows server. In the system, there is a function for user to upload files to another server (Shared server in Unix). When i try to upload a file, it gives warning: Warning: move_uploaded_file(\\unixserver/sharedfolder/upload/test.txt) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\wamp\www\upload\index.php on line 40 For your information, my username has been assigned in xxx's group that has access to read and write on that folder. Besides, i'm able to open,create and delete files on that folder's server manually (samba). The safe mode setting is off. Does anybody has any idea why this thing happen? Hey. I am wanting to move a couple of files from my current server to another. If i am uploading the file this is fine but if it is already on the server then im not sure how to move it. When uploading I can just use ftp_put($conn_id, $destination_file, $myFile, FTP_BINARY); What i need to do is figure out how to get a hold of the file and store it in $myFile then this would work fine. Is this possible? Cheers Hi there! im new to php , im having problem when upload image to server. Thank You I need to upload an image using php and store the image as blob in mysql. I understand the standard way is to create a form for the user, let the user choose the image to upload, click submit. But I need to create a php, for example, uploadImage.php?image="c:\myPhoto.jpg" and when I type http:\\www.myhome.com\uploadImage.php?image="c:\myPhoto.jpg" from a web browser in my pc, I can automatically upload myPhoto.jpg to the myhome.com server? Thank you for your kind help. i have added a member area to my wordpress site. everything works good, login, edit, delete, etc. But when i upload the logout.php file to the godaddy server, it starts logging me out on every page. The programs work fine without the logout file, but as soon as it is uploaded it keeps logging out. here is the logout.php i am using <?php // If the user is logged in, delete the session vars to log them out session_start(); if (isset($_SESSION['user_id'])) { // Delete the session vars by clearing the $_SESSION array $_SESSION = array(); // Delete the session cookie by setting its expiration to an hour ago (3600) if (isset($_COOKIE[session_name()])) { setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 3600); } // Destroy the session session_destroy(); } // Delete the user ID and username cookies by setting their expirations to an hour ago (3600) setcookie('user_id', '', time() - 3600); setcookie('username', '', time() - 3600); // Redirect to the home page $home_url = 'http://' . $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . '/my-account/'; header('Location: ' . $home_url); ?> i have looked around the internet but haven't found any solutions. Please help. Thank you
i have php at server side and c++ at client side.what i am trying to do is to constantly look for files on server in folder on server if there’s a file in folder then download it on client side and delete it from server folder Hi, ive recently created a gallery website and im happy with the way everything currently works. However the main drawback is the site uploads using a html webfom which is great for remote users or the odd image. However, as i want to mass upload my existing collection i will need the ability to read a selected folder and then to carry out all the same processes that existed from the existing html form upload. Im also using gdlibrary and checking file types to ensure they are within my allowed list, but im wondering if there are any other common security alerts i should be aware of to keep things a little bit safer if/when i publish outside of my LAN. So in a nut shell i need some assistance with changing my upload process to work for more than one file at a time, ideally by reading a folder, or at least reading X amount of files at a time - processing them then moving onto next batch of files in the list. Then the next part i need help with is checking/improving basic security of the system My server is Linux/Apache/PHP.
When a file is uploaded, I use PHP's finfo_open to confirm that the file have the correct file extension matches and delete them if it doesn't match. I also which file mimi types and size could be uploaded.
Things I do with the files include:
Upload user's files and store them in some public directory (/var/www/html/users_public_directory/), and allow other users to directly download them.
Upload user's files and store them in some private directory (/var/www/users_private_directory/), and allow other users to download them using X-Sendfile.
Upload user's ZIP files and convert them to PDF files (unzip the ZIP file, and uses Libreoffice and Imagemagick's convert to convert them to PDFs).
From the server's prospective, what are the risks of allowing users to upload files? Are there some file types which are more dangerous to the server? Could they be executed on the server, and if so, how could this be prevented?
In this multi file upload form, choose three images, click submit and preview the images on the preview page. If the user wishes to delete or replace an image, click edit and the form will go back to the previous page. Select the replace radio button for example on one of the three images and select a new image from the file input prompt and click submit. The form will go to the preview page again to display the images. During this process the image names are being input into a table and the images are being moved to a directory. The table is `id` AUTO_INCREMENT, `image0` `image1` `image2` `status` So input name='image[image0]' can be directed to table `image0` and so on. The code for keep and delete work fine, but how do I replace an image? I have two foreach blocks. The first one deletes the image file from the directory and deletes the image name from the table, but the second foreach dose not move the new image file into the directory. Thanks. <input type='radio' name='image[image0]' value='keep' checked='checked'/> <input type='radio' name='image[image0]' value='delete' /> <input type='radio' name='image[image0]' value='replace' /> <input type="file" name="image[]" /> <input type='radio' name='image[image1]' value='keep' checked='checked'/> <input type='radio' name='image[image1]' value='delete' /> <input type='radio' name='image[image1]' value='replace' /> <input type="file" name="image[]" /> <input type='radio' name='image[image2]' value='keep' checked='checked'/> <input type='radio' name='image[image2]' value='delete' /> <input type='radio' name='image[image2]' value='replace' /> <input type="file" name="image[]" /> <?php if (isset($_POST['status'])) { $status = $_POST['status']; $confirm_code = $status; #--------------------------- replace -------------------------------------------- if (isset($_POST['submitted']) && ($image = $_POST['image'])) { foreach($image as $imageKey => $imageValue) { if ($imageValue == 'replace') { $query = "SELECT $imageKey FROM table WHERE status = '$status' "; if($result = $db->query( $query )){ $row = $result->fetch_array(); } unlink( UPLOAD_DIR.$row[0] ); $query = "UPDATE table SET $imageKey = '' WHERE status = '$status' "; } } foreach($image as $imageKey => $imageValue) { if ($imageValue == 'replace') { $filenm = $_FILES['image']['name']; $file = $_FILES['image']['tmp_name']; move_uploaded_file($file, UPLOAD_DIR . $filenm); $filename[] = $filenm; $query = "INSERT INTO table VALUES ('','$filename[0]','$filename[1]','$filename[2]','$confirm_code')"; } } } } ?> Hiya, Firstly, I'm a complete novice, apologies! But I have got my upload.php working which is nice. I will post the code below. However, I would now like to restrict the file size and file type to only word documents. I currently have a restriction of 200KB but it's not working - no idea why as I've looked at other similar codes and they look the same. Also, just to complicate things - can I stop files overwriting each other when uploaded? At the moment, if 2 people upload files with the same name one will overwrite the other. Is this too many questions in 1? Any help is very much appreciated! Code below: Code: [Select] <form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="careers.php" method="POST"> Please choose a file: <input name="uploaded" type="file" /><br /> <input type="submit" value="Upload" /> </form> <?php $target = "upload/"; $target = $target . basename( $_FILES['uploaded']['name']) ; $ok=1; //This is our size condition if ($uploaded_size > 200) { echo "Your file is too large.<br>"; $ok=0; } //This is our limit file type condition if ($uploaded_type =="text/php") { echo "No PHP files<br>"; $ok=0; } //Here we check that $ok was not set to 0 by an error if ($ok==0) { Echo "Sorry your file was not uploaded"; } //If everything is ok we try to upload it else { if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploaded']['tmp_name'], $target)) { echo "Your file ". basename( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['name']). " has been uploaded."; } else { echo "Sorry, there was a problem uploading your file."; } } ?> Hello, all: been trying to convert this little single-file upload to multiple by naming each file form-field as "userfile[]" as it's supposed to automatically treat them as an array.. but no luck! Can you guide me as to what am I doing wrong?? appreciate the help! Code: [Select] <?php if (!isset($_REQUEST["seenform"])) { ?> <form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="#" method="post"> Upload file: <input name="userfile[]" type="file" id="userfile[]"> Upload file: <input name="userfile[]" type="file" id="userfile[]"> <input type="submit" value="Upload"> <input type="hidden" name="seenform"> </form> <?php } else { // upload begins $userfiles = array($_FILES['userfile']); foreach ($userfiles as $userfile) { // foreach begins $uploaded_dir = "uploads/"; $userfile = $_FILES['userfile']["name"]; $path = $uploaded_dir . $userfile; if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['userfile']["tmp_name"], $path)) { print "$userfile file moved"; // do something with the file here } else { print "Move failed"; } } // foreach ends } // upload ends ?> So, I'm learning how to upload pictures into a system from my awesome PHP book. I've looked and looked through the script but I can't figure out whats wrong with it. Goal: The script is meant to save a full version of the image in the images folder and a thumbnail in the thumbnail folder. Bug: The full image does not appear in any folder, and the thumbnail is created but its put in the images folder. I've checked the GD library, and everything is supported. image_effect.php <?php //change this path to match your images directory $dir ='C:/x/xampp/htdocs/images'; //change this path to match your fonts directory and the desired font putenv('GDFONTPATH=' . I havent included the whole title as it wouldnt let me but I was wondering if someone could help me on this? I know this is possible as torrentflux caters for this but unsure of where to start. I dont want to allow file or directory uploads or creation in my /etc/php.ini file (this is turned off). Yet then torrentflux allows me to link a torrent from an external source (using legal downloads of course ) but then it uploads it on my server and creates folders on a per user basis. How is this possible can someone give me some pointers please? I look forward to any replies, Jeremy. |
