PHP - Pulling Needed Information From A Website.

Below are two pages...Post.php. and Posted.php the posted page checks and makes sure everything is filled out and makes sure that the link has not been already added. The problem I am having is that it is not pulling over the link information. Every time you hit submit it drops down and goes to saying that you forgot to fill something in and I have it showing everything right now so when that happens I can see what is not going through and the $link never comes through. Any ideas? if anyone needs a better explanation please post and I will try to explain better....basically I am trying to post and everything posts but the link.

when I print all the results from this I get a postcode, I was wondering if anyone could read this code and simplify it for me, I really need to know what table this query is pulling the postcode from.

in the database each link and title have there own parent id and level id

so for example:

Hello,   Im designing a website and have a contact form, what is the best way of managing that and monitor it as just getting that contact form information sent to an email address they may end up having more and more people sending information will get all messy and will surely cause havoc. The only way at the moment i can think of is to store the first piece of information in a database table then store the reply's in a separate table but linked to the original first question by the id.   What do you guys things?

Is There a script which can be used that will grab constantly updated information from a certain website, and output it onto your own website? By constantly, I mean like:

23 Hours, 13 Minutes and 3 seconds ago.

Surely this can be done some how?

So I'm having issue with trying to pull the ID from my database out correctly.
This is the ideal way I want the ID to be pulled.

I have a PDF form that generates an XFDF file (form field valies in XML form) and I am passing it to PHP for processing. I am having trouble pulling a specific value from the XML block because of the way that the XML data is generated and organized. Please see a sample of the XML block below:

I have been kicking around some code that I thought should work, but doesn't appear to. If anyone could offer any insight to get it working that would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all,
Would anyone know how to fix this code to work so that when a user fills out a simple form it update a row in my database? The code below doesn't get the parameters from the form. 
The $sql = 'UPDATE services SET `Description` = "$description1" WHERE ID=1'; line works perfect only its putting in the $description literally no form parameters??
I have a feeling I need to handle this a different way but other trys with different code were not successful.

The above code takes data entered in a form and is suppose to show the matching results, but no records are showing, it works when I replace the $name1 and $type2 with the actual values, any ideas?

This has been bugging me for 24 hours now. I have created 2 web applications. The first one is the dummy, and the second one is the final. Basically, this two web applications does the same, just a few modifications made on the final one. I have a process of pulling out of information from the database should the user would want to modify a field. I have a problem though, the dummy one works perfectly, but the new one don't. In fact, if I use the dummy php file together with the new files, the dummy won't be working. But if I use it together with the old files, it works perfectly fine.

FOr some reason i cant pull data from an XML file to insert into the database, it works without error just adds a blank value in the database?

i have this code at the moment, i guess arrayValue[71] is the value i need to pull and add to the "TABLE2" table, but when i run the script it just adds a blank value in the database?

I am pulling records from a mysql db.   

Example Output:

Team A=  Our Team
Team b = An opponent team
Team A score = 7
Team B score = 8

Team A = Our Team

What I need now is to add ONE more output, which is whether this is a "WIN" or a "LOSS".

Should I add a field into the table that calc's this?    If so, how?   Please be specific.

Or, should I use php to compare Team A score vs Team B score PER every record and then insert this new variable into the output.    If so, how do I create a new variable value for every single output in the table?


I know ultimately that this is a IF THEN type of calc, but can't quite figure out how specifically.
